This was our second stay at this house. It is well situated and appointed with beautiful bay views from the balcony and the living area/kitchen, several nice recreational spaces to play ping pong or corn hole or watch TV or read, and most importantly just a few stair steps from the beach. Our crew was family consisting of three couples, a toddler and a single guy, and there were plenty of nice bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to be comfortable. Also, from the shore, we saw a whale breaching, a sunfish, and schools of herring getting chased to the beach by large striped bass. Absolutely wonderful and we will hope to stay again. Lastly, the owners are very attentive and communicated and accommodated us as much as could be expected. We highly recommend!

Our group of 10, vacationing together for 40+ years, had a wonderful stay in Truro. Brian and Doriot are wonderful hosts, responsive to all questions, and have outfitted their beautiful house with everything needed for a great stay. The house is lovely, with large, comfortable areas for cooking, dining and just "hanging out". The view is spectacular, and the large porch is great for having meals, lounging with a book or, our favorite, cocktails at sunset!

This property was the perfect location for a special gathering of lifelong friends. We all felt so at home. We ended up staying in and cooking every evening in the beautiful, well equipped kitchen. We all agreed that this place was special and we look forward to returning. Brian and Doriot were fabulous hosts!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful and very comfortable home perched on top of a dune on Cape Cod Bay. The house is very well equipped for an extended family or group of friends, with a welcoming bin of beach towels and beach chairs, a great assortment of cook and dining ware, and several comfortable seating areas for relaxing and dining. There are delightful touches throughout the house such as rope ball door stops and carvings of whales and birds. The owners are very responsive and did everything to make our check in and out seamless and answer any questions we had along the way. It was a pleasure to stay in this beautiful home!

The house hugely exceeded our expectations! Not only was the place much larger than we were expecting, everything was in great condition and the location on the beach was perfect! For those of you planning cook the kitchen was very well equipped. The hosts were swift to respond to any questions and clearly communicated everything we needed to know. Overall we had a wonderfu stay and would highly recommend!

My family and I had a wonderful vacation. The house had sufficient and well appointed rooms. The house was well supplied with everything one could use not only in the kitchen but books, games, beach toys and plenty of beach towels and chairs. It is just minutes away from both Provincetown and Wellfleet which were fun excursions.

We had 14 family members from 1-72years old. Spectacular views and the stairs to the beach kept everyone in shape. There were plenty of spaces to spread out both inside and out. This house is even more beautiful than it appears in these photos. The views from the deck and living room were absolutely stunning. There was more than enough space throughout the home to accommodate for our large family. The beach was just steps from the deck. The sunsets from the house were incredible to watch. The interior design of the house and decorative touches made this place just that much more special. The location was perfect, close to Truro Vineyards and a short drive to Provincetown. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

We stayed at this beautiful home with our parents (ages 60+), two small children (ages 2 and 6), babysitter (mid-20s), sister (age 40), and brothers (late-20s). The entire group had high expectations after seeing the beautiful photos on Vrbo, and all of our expectations were exceeded during our fabulous week of vacation. The property’s beach and views are like nothing we’ve seen before, and the deck overlooking the ocean is perfect for large family meals. The house itself is immaculate with a perfect layout for large family gatherings - there are large/intimate spaces for the entire group to convene and also plenty of cozy hideaways for quiet moments alone. The beds are also extremely comfortable, and our entire group slept like babies! The owners, Brian and Doriot, are exceptionally courteous, helpful, and responsive - they made us feel like family friends instead of renters they met through Vrbo. The location is also perfect because it’s tucked away in its own quiet, peaceful slice of heaven, but it’s just a short drive from P-Town’s fabulous shops, restaurants, and festivities. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. This home will undoubtedly be the location for our family’s annual vacation week for as long as Brian and Doriot make it available to renters. After experiencing the best house on the Cape, anything less would be a disappointment!

Unbelievable house and experience cannot begin to describe this house! The pictures do not do it justice! It's gorgeous, right on the water and about a 10 minute drive from ptown. My family and I had an amazing time here. The house is so clean, exactly as described and stock full of games, kitchen supplies and everything else you can imagine. Owners Brian and Doriot have an absolutely stunning, luxurious, modern home with breathtaking views overlooking a gorgeous and quiet private beach. They have thought of every detail and made the stay wonderful. The home is spacious and there is enough room for a large group to spread out. The water is calm and very safe for young children. This is a truly amazing place and is even better in person than what the pictures show. Brian and Doriot are also great with communication and and have created a truly spectacular vacation rental!

The location is perfect..very quiet private beach and only a short ride to Provincetown. We watched the sunset over the bay every night we were there. The views are spectacular and the water on the bay was warm and calm. The huge deck overlooking the bay is fantastic. The house is fully stocked with everything one needs on vacation.....including all sheets and towels. The owners were very easy to reach and very responsive. I hope to return next year!

Plenty of room for everyone to feel relaxed, house very well stocked and clean, comfortable beds and the most amazing deck overlooking the bay and the sunsets. Down the steps we went to walk the beach or fish or fly a kite or play Bocce ball! Brian was in touch to welcome us, answer questions and let us know ahead what to expect and details of the house. Couldn't ask for a more thoughtful host, we highly recommend vacationing in this lovely home. We hope to return!

This amazing home! This breathtaking location! The owners thought of everything we might need to make our vacation perfect. They even provided beach towels and floats for the bay which is right at the base of the steps! Ordinarily, I do not go down the steps to the beach at homes we rent, but these were very stable, with handrails on both sides and a stopping point with benches just about mid-way. I was able to join my family members swimming in the bay for the first time in years! The sunsets over the bay were glorious! We couldn't stop taking pictures. We would sit on the large deck at the table or on the lounge chairs and watch the sunsets as though we were watching a movie. Every night was a different show. We liked being close to Provincetown and Wellfleet and also enjoyed having the market and Captain's Choice restaurant right around the corner. The house was extremely well equipped and very easy to navigate. It instantly felt like home. It was a lovely vacation. Thank you so much, Doriot and Brian, for sharing your extraordinary home with our family.

My wife and I, our two daughters and their spouses, our 2-year old granddaughter, and 4-month old grandson had the pleasure of spending the 3rd week of July 2018 at Brian and Doriot’s house in North Truro. We had a magnificent family vacation there. The house is located close to Ptown, local restaurants, and stores. No detail is lacking: a well equipped kitchen, beach chairs and umbrellas, a vast collection of toys and games for the children, outside shower, large porch which is also an outdoor dining area overlooking the bay, a spacious indoor dining room with a fireplace, and an outdoor grill. Brian and Doriot, the owners, are personally attentive to their clients. They enhanced our entire experience with warm hospitality through the rental process and stay. In summary, we wrote in the guest book: We had a lovely family interlude here – hated to see it end! We will never forget our stay here. Thank you for providing us with an experience we shall treasure always. Ceile, Carl, and family.

Amidst the noise and chaos of everyday life, Bird's Eye View is a sanctuary. It gave my husband and I, our 3 grown kids and our grandchildren a chance to reconnect and relax. This will be a home we'll look to return to each year. The house is clean and beautiful. The local folks who help maintain the house were incredibly nice. Brian and Doriot are a pleasure to work with!

The house was truly lovely perched on the top of the dunes. Except for the one rainy day we had beautiful sunsets every evening over P-town. One of my favorite times was at low tide when the sandbars would be exposed. You can walk on them and get squirted by the clams under the sand as you walk. Our group took numerous walks along the beach. Most days were calm, but we did get one very windy day that showed us that even the bay side of the Cape can have some power. We had a group of 6 couples and the house was just perfect for that. The house itself is nicely laid out and has lots of area to get away from the group when you want privacy. There is one full bath for each two bedrooms and one half bath for the living room. Most bedrooms have plenty of space, all except the upstairs doubles which are smaller. The one double room with the pull out bed is tiny and if you pull out the bed, there is no room for luggage in the room. Just off the living room area are the main king and queen rooms. These two rooms have less privacy, but are the most beautiful, especially the king that has a sliding door to the deck. I stayed in the addition area which had the dining room on the main level(in a very huge room with some comfy chairs), the second kitchen half a level down, and a king and a queen room one half level up. Overlooking the dining area is a sitting area outside the two bedrooms that has a desk and couch. For us this was the quiet area as we tended to congregate in the living room. So it was great for me who is an insomniac and needed quiet to sleep. There is even a door between the dining room area and the living room section to keep it even quieter. The newer kitchen in the addon is fairly big. Though either kitchen could be used as the main kitchen, we used the smaller kitchen off the living room for two reasons. One it is better stocked with all the necessities. They both have the basics for cooking, but only the one had things like measuring cups and lobster crackers. Though to be fair, the bigger things are stored in the bigger kitchen like the rice cooker and lobster pot. Also the smaller kitchen is closer to the deck. And though the other kitchen is right off the dining room, who wants to eat inside when you have such nice views on the deck? We cooked most of our meals there. Between them the kitchens are quite well stocked for cooking. The only thing that would have been nice was a food processor. We all hope to return some day.

We were looking for a place on the cape where 11 friends could relax, drink wine and enjoy catching up. This was the perfect spot. The house was perfectly advertised and very roomy and comfortable. It allowed everyone to have a mix of private time and socializing time. We had a blast just hanging out of the deck watching the most incredible sunsets over the bay and cooking family meals together. It felt like home. We all hope we can come back again someday!
