Everything went smoothly and efficiently. All the staff we talked to were helpful and friendly. I thought it was marvellous that we could take our dog, though a bit more instruction about where he could sit at breakfast would have helped. The breakfast was great, fresh, and plenty to eat and drink.

The room we were allocated was freezing when we went in. It turned out that the window was open because the handle was missing. So we couldn’t close it. I reported it and another room was allocated straight away. The rooms were serviceable but could have done with decorating as they were a bit tired, particularly in the bathroom. The duvet seemed small for the bed.

The hotel was close to our family.

The hotel needs to look at its cleaning. Our room, especially our bathroom (which had not been cleaned) was not ready for our arrival. We asked the manager to have a look as it was that bad. He completely agreed and did everything he could to rectify the issues for us. He couldn’t have done more and for that we were grateful. Other areas around the hotel needed attention also though. We were there for 2 days and the glass on the main door to the rooms was covered in finger marks and they were not cleaned throughout the whole stay.

Great size room, clean and tidy, bathroom was a good size, great pressure from the shower. Comfy beds and amazing breakfast, with a great selection. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Hotel was great and a good base for Shrewsbury and the local Shropshire area. The staff we were great and really helpful when we had any queries, two of these were down to providing some extra hangers and a different pillow. Yes you either have to go out in the car for dinner or taxi like others have said but that didn’t bother us there are a couple of pubs not far away that are great (Riverside Inn and Mytton & Mermaid), advise booking both busy and both by the river and the food was fab and we could have got a taxi in to Shrewsbury if needed. Rooms and bathroom were spacious.

Both minor points Breakfast, there was a reasonable selection but was just ok, personal preference. The noise from the kitchen fans as we were right above them but when we mentioned to staff at night they turned them off and this was fine.

Quilt too small for bed so told staff and was moved to another room. The quilt was better but still not big enough and the bottom sheet wasn’t made properly. The pillowcase was inside out and had a tear. Table was wobbly so told staff in the morning but this wasn’t rectified by the evening on returning back. Also towel not replaced and neither the tissues. Has to go out to reception to get a towel - this was at 2200 and tell them that the table was still wonky! The staff member to offered to have a look at table but I said we were leaving in the morning and it was 2200 now so not much point! Both rooms we had were very tired and had a sofa bed and were adjoining rooms that we didn’t want and were apparently in the 10% that had not been refurbished. We had children also running about above us until 0030!

I've stayed at this hotel several times. The staff are always very friendly, its very clean and the breakfast is amazing. It's on a business park just off the A5 but very quiet.

The booking system for breakfast is pointless there we're no seats at the time we booked, just a compete free-for-all. Comparable to a chimp's tea party.

The room had a view of the garbage dump place. A bit far from the town, taxis are way to expensive for such a small town.

Stayed here many times It’s out of town with an ample care park and easy to get onto all major routes so an ideal stop off for trips to north wales etc . Clean and spacious rooms and quiet in general apart from odd racer cars from the dual carriageway. The breakfast is a bonus and it plentiful and really relaxed in the morning with little fuss or ceremony : a big buffet with everything you really want ! Unless I have to be in the town centre : this is my hotel of choice …

It is far from town so definitely would need to book taxis if heading into town for anything or drive .
