We were on the ground floor, couldn’t really open the windows as just a flower box in front. Room had a smell to it. everything was rather basic considering the cost.

Well-equipped room (#7 with sea view) with large comfortable bed and pillows (extras in the wardrobe) iron and board, hairdryer, decaf coffee, etc. Well-cooked breakfast - slighly limited, choice such as no croissants, pastries, but fully adequate.

Didn't like the cheap mix of plastic hangers. Behind the headboard needed a good hoover. There was long hair on the duvet cover. As an old building, the stairs are very steep. Otherwise, all was good.

parking a problem in local car parks - 3 hours max in local car parks- had to keep moving car. Be aware - if you book with booking.com breakfast is not included as they charge the hotel fees!

Location can’t be beat! The staff were very friendly and it was a great value for a two night stay. The view from the room was so nice.

Mattress and pillows could be improved for comfort.

Room was clean and tidy.

Courtyard out the back could be presented a lot better. Could be really nice but a bit of a dumping ground at the moment.

Excellent accommodation on the seafront at Deal. Superb breakfast and comfortable, clean rooms. The location is ideal for exploring East Kent and there are many restaurants and bars nearby including the pub itself.

We were not advised of meal times upon check in and missed breakfast ( 9:30am is quite early to finish serving) was not aware of the 2 hour window for lunch either, so unfortunately we never got to eat here. Pub was extra busy at check in due to football on TV and staff were really rushed off their feet, so understandable ( small print out of meal times given out when you check in and pick up keys) would be helpful

the staff were great, even though they were extremely busy due to our mini heatwave, they were still professional and friendly

the bathroom had a strange smell on arrival, but did rectify itself
