Incredible place to stay near Husavik! The room was so comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, and the location was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Spacious, comfortable, clean room with a fabulous view. Excellent breakfast. Very interesting property with over 100 horses used for tourist trips. Only 5 minutes drive to the centre of town.

Kettle in the room was handy

If you turned on the warm water, it would be Sulfuric water - which is terrible for showering and for cooking/doing dishes. Also, the host wasn’t at the property for check-in and we had to wait 10min until he picked up the phone.

The guesthouse has really nice and charming rooms with a private bathroom. In contrast to many other guesthouses in Iceland, these rooms are not only functional but also charming and stylish. The kitchen is clean and has everything you need, coffee and hot water during the day and nice tables to sit at. Besides, Maria one of the staff, is really friendly, gave us some quite helpful advices and took us to an amazing pony tour. If we come back to Iceland we will definitely come back to the Saltvik Farm!

If you want something special, you need to stay here. Nice rooms, great breakfast, environment with good vibes...the only donwside for me was, that I could not stay for longer

Really nice staff, especially Anna and Luca were awesome - they made our stay there the best one in Iceland. Big, comfy rooms and a common room /kitchen with everything you need. They even have darts, and much more pastime activities! :)

The location is great! it’s so peaceful and relaxing! We had the room 3 which has a great view, it’s a large and super comfortable! We stayed the night and we were able to fed the horses, it’s close to Husavik and the main road. The best thing is that we were able to see the northern lights right outside of our room, all guest were outside explaining others the phenomenon, taking each other’s pictures, it felt like a little community The staff is the kindest, and the breakfast was really good, especially the coffee! thank you Saltvik! you made us feel at home away from home!!

Poor breakfast.

The farmhouse built nice new rooms as an addition to their property which also has Icelandic horseback riding. Took a beautiful 90 minute ride with an experienced guide through the pasture land to the beach. The horses were gentle and with some instruction from the staff (having only done a little western riding), we felt comfortable and in control.

Nothing, gorgeous pastoral property close to town.

Beautiful property with views of fields, horses, ocean and mountains. Spacious room, yummy breakfast, kind and fun staff that were very helpful and appreciative.

Home and family atmosphere. Good, but basic breakfast. Nice view. Parking. Wi-fi. Large family room.

Although we were the only guests and the weather was crazy, the owners cared a lot and made an effort for us. The breakfast was really delicious and the room nice and clean. Thanks for a nice stay at Saltvík Guesthouse.
