Der Balkon, große Aufenthaltsräume, Pool, schöner Außenbereich.

Wir hatten eine ältere Alkoholikerin im Zimmer, die sich konsequent nicht an die Regeln gehalten hat und leider hat das Personal keine gute Lösung für unsere Anliegen gefunden. Wir konnten nach ein paar Nächten in ein neues Dorm ziehen aber so mussten neue Leute mit ihr in einem Zimmer wohnen.

The staff were friendly

On our 2nd day staying at WOT 45 12 year olds turned up to stay in the morning and were there for the rest of the time we were supposed to be staying there. They took over the whole place so we never wanted to use the facilities or the pool because the kids were jumping around causing havoc, swamping the whole place. The one time I was sat by the pool on my phone as went to use it but changed my mind when kids were cannon balling in there, so I decided I didn’t want to go in and was just going to send a text to someone before I left the pool side and another guest came up to me asking if I was a teacher. I think they were going to have a go at me because the kids were running riot and he thought I was teacher not doing my job and just going on my phone. The whole point of choosing hostels like this is so you meet people around the pool and the organised barbecues and watching the euros on the big screen in the communal area etc get talking and making friends with each other and then go out at night together etc. It was completing isolating for individuals or pairs of friends and meant you never wanted to be in the hostel except to sleep even though the hostel staff go out of their way to make it an entertaining communal place. We heard one of the guests swapped hostels to another beach location. We asked if we could get transferred to the WOT back in Lisbon and they said there was no space. We checked online ourselves and there were rooms going online so I don’t know why they lied and wouldn’t sort it for us. The staff in general were understanding of our frustrations and apologetic but in the end WOT could have done something about it that probably wouldn’t have cost them anything, as they had last minute empty rooms in the hostel we wanted to be transferred to but they chose not to. We ended up leaving a night early and booking another hostel somewhere else.

Super liebes Personal und echt schöne Einrichtung drinnen und draußen. Wohlfühlhostel!

Nette Atmosphäre. Super entspannte junge Gäste und Personal. Gute Englischkenntnisse. Zu Fuss in 25min in den Ort.

Toilettenpapier darf nicht heruntergespühlt werden, sondern kommt in den Abfalleimer. Das finde ich sehr unangenehm. Keine Vorhänge oder Rollläden an der Balkontür. Nur Außenläden. Keine Klimaanlage. Bis spät Nachts Gerede draußen, so dass wir immer wieder aufgewacht sind. Das letzte Mal um 3 Uhr. Unter dem Laken auf dem Bett scheint eine Kunststofffolie zu sein. Kein gutes Schlafgefühl, man schwitzt und es knistert.

A good hostel for the price with really nice common areas and outdoor areas :)

One night around 3 am, new guests arrived at the dorm. The employee who brought them in slammed on all the lights and talked really loud (sounding moody) even though many people were sleeping. There are guidelines everywhere in the dorms emphasizing quiet time and respect for others, so it would be nice if the staff followed the rules. The wifi also worked badly in the dorm and the breakfast was a bit poor.
