The breakfast was great and the bed very comfy

The hotel needs some updating. Lots of cobwebs in the room, carpet not hoovered. Shower was not clean

I couldn't get warm water through my shower or bathroom tap, table cloths were not clean at breakfast. Hotel could do with a revamp, felt old and tired.

very well located for where I was working. breakfast is included. they are dog friendly and Peter was very good with buddy.

the hotel is very dated. The shower took a long time to warm up, 20minutes to 30 minutes. on two mornings it didn’t warm up at all. the pressure is poor so my morning shower was a pretty drawn out unpleasant experience, which is a deal breaker for me.

There was no toilet tissue on the roll left on the holder in the bathroom. Black hairs in the bath. I requested bacon to be well done, unfortunately this request appeared to be ignored.

The location, parking and ambience was very good. Peter the owner was very friendly and helpful and very accommodating.

The decor was a little tired looking in some places. I was expecting the restaurant to be open but it wasn't but plenty nearby places.

Very good value, to stop by and the owner very friendly and talkative. Good for anyone that likes to stay budget in the Lake District this time of year.

Room was dated and could do with a more thorough clean especially as they weren't very busy at all... Windowsill was covered in dead flies and wasps however when asked for this to be cleaned he apologised and completed the clean straight away Bathroom floor when I moved the bathroom mat over the floor to wipe up the splashes after the shower was very dirty Could do with some TLC in the cleaning area

Peter was lovely. Didn’t mind that we checked in very late. Was really accommodating to us and our dog. The room was a good size and really clean. We had a nice breakfast in the morning and it was a good location to start our trip around the Lake District.

The decor was a bit old fashioned.
