Lovely classic Inn in the countryside

Dinner was excellent on the 2 nights we stayed - not surprising as the owner/chef is Michelin rated ! Our room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom facilities were good. Breakfast was excellent for me (full English) and my friend enjoyed his porridge ! Friendly, chatty staff and the service was excellent. A beautifully quaint 16/17 century pub/restaurant/B&B in a quiet characterful village in the middle of Devon and their £ rates are very competitive - what more could you want ?!

Breakfast was lovely, cooked well and served by our lovely hostess, The room was comfortable enough for a few days stay,
I had to boil a kettle as the water in the bathroom was a bit cold, as was the shower :(

Evening meal of rack of lamb was exceptionally good.Sticky toffee pudding was also excellent.
The bedroom was very cold when we arrived.

Have stayed here in the past and like everything about the place rooms are spacious the food and drink in bar area is very good.

It was in a beautiful location. We booked the stay as a last minute stop on our journey home from holiday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. They went out of the way to look after us & make us feel welcome. The food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend & stay again.

The accommodation was very good with crisp clean sheets and had very clean en suite facilities. The staff were lovely with beautiful smiles and were very helpful. The food was excellent and was very tasty. I would certainly go back there again.

The room was very tatty looking the pillows were hard the curtains were dirty missing pillow cases of the pillows the bulb had gone over the bed not very 4 star

Dolton is very peaceful. The inn is delightful and the food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend the Ram's Head.
