Comfortable room with kitchenette opening out onto a veranda looking out to the setting sun - a serene spot to stay. Everything you need is here, and for excellent value for money.

On first arriving, the apartment can appear a little out of the way .... but find the steps leading down to Linaria beach from the road and it's not far to the big supermarket and bus stop on the main road.

Very clean, very friendly owner, good value for the price. Would totally visit again.

The host was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable, he allowed me to delay my checkout to meet my needs. The accommodation is simple but has everything you need. Big plus: from the veranda you can admire the sunset on the sea.

The bed are not the best of confort, but it's still totally OK. And i would have liked just a few kitchen supplies in addition (for example a tea towel, a bowl for salad). But we are really talking about small details.

The views were stunning. The room nice and big, beds comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was generally clean. For the price is was a really lovely place to stay, met my needs nicely. Very quaint.

Kitchen ware was a very old and not overly clean, cups, plates etc. Could do with updating. Noisy cockerills next door so if youre a light sleeper you may struggle with their noise.

Hosts are really good and helping people. They helped us with every thing that we asked for.

Rooms without the view on the sea have poor wifi connection and cellphone reception. Impossible to call or connect with a laptop during the evening. Easier with a mobile but still not pleasant. Kitchen was quite poorly equipped - 1 pan, 1 pot and a kettle + dishes for 3 ppl. Hot water was not available all the time.

Loved the location, sea view with a sunset, balcony, pigs & chickens for neighbours, light, airy room. Platys Gialos is wonderfully quiet & serene. I liked that the bus & supermarket was a 10 minute walk away.

Really nice and clean place to stay with a very nice host, a beautiful view and one of the nicest beaches of the island just some steps away. Just take your time and have a Ouzo Lemon or Frappe with Georgie ;-) See you again Sabrina & Jochen

Great location for exploring the island, swimming pool with a view and wonderful service from the owners who gave us free eggs from their chickens and sorted out a hire car for us. The room was big enough for a family and there was even an oven in the kitchenette.

Nothing to dislike. We were given an apartment at the back with no view which didn’t bother us because we were out all day but might be an issue for others.

The room was huge and quiet as the hotel is at a dead end with no trafic. The room, was clean, with a properly working airconditioner, with towels, sheet but only soap in the bathroom. The wifi was excellent. Unfortunately there was little to no mobile reception in the area but I could use viber through the wifi to communicate. The lady who runs the hotel was always there in case you needed something as she lives there with her husband The swimming pool was very nicea nd warm. Usually when you get in a swiiming pool it feels very cold until you get used to it but not this pool. It was naturally heated. By the way, the hotel is not at sea level but on a cliff and to go to the beach you need to go down a road and then down some stair steps but is not far. Now to go from the bus stop to the the hotel this is a 20 minute walk and after Seaphrodite don't follow the gps but go along the path on the left side of seaphrodite. At the end of the path turn to the path on the left and at the end of this path go to the right and after going down some steps you are on the road of the hotel, If you don't make this shortcut it is a long way.

We had an awesome stay at Mary Popi! The owners are very helpfull and kind. The room is nice and clean (bathroom was perfect), good airco, little kitchen and a stunning view!! The pool was perfect. Fresh eggs and fruit from the owners own little farm. Thank you! Location was good. A very nice beach not far at all.. just 3 min walking (and a few smaller private beaches nearby) with a snackbar/restaurant. Wifi was good! Every morning a chance to buy fresh bread from a local bakery. I really recommend this place, also for families with kids. I went with my 6 year old son and will definitly book again when going back to Kalymnos.

Everything was good!

We had a chance to stay at Mary Popi for 3 weeks this summer. Very friendly owners, Themis and George, made us feel like home. I have no words to thank them for their quick reaction when we needed a ride to the hospital (had a little accident), to the veterinarian or simply when bringing fresh drinking water every couple of days. All the public areas were so clean that we were walking barefoot, while room was cleaned (all towels and bed sheets changed) every 2-3 days. The swimming pool was carefully vacuumed every couple of days (very appreciated). When we complained about mosquitoes the owners provided the plugs against mosquitoes (❤️). Based on old reviews I was expecting to find many unwanted village animals inside my room (ants, spiders) but there wasn’t any. We were careful to keep all the food in the fridge not to encourage them to come. Plati Gialos beach was only few steps away with 2 beach bars. Mary Popi has definitely the most beautiful sunsets on the island. You will not see such sunsets in Massouri, as they are hidden behind the Telendos Island. Perfect accommodation for a long term stay with family and children.

When traveling with a dog make sure it is protected from ticks. There is many of them on the island in summertime.

Unexpectedly clean, perfectly located within few steps from almost private beautiful hidden beach with a tiny beach bar. 1,5 km walk from the Kantouni beach and Domus beach bar. All rooms were recently (2020) renovated and refurbished. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Perfect for a weekend escape or a long term accommodation. We are already planking our next vacation here.

The sunset is second to none and the owners are fantastic and very helpful.

If you like walking then ok but it was a little too far to amenities for us and you definitely need a car. If you are not fully mobile then this is not the place for you.
