double bed small in family room and I’m only 5’4 and one of the kids slept with me - plus no shower gel provided in pool showers so had to walk up through hotel to have showers in small bedroom.

Bed was comfortable. Location good.

When I arrived I wasn't offered the option to pay at the end of my stay. Payment up front. When I took a shower, the shower head was white with limescale. At breakfast, I asked for a cappuccino and was told I'd have to pay extra!.? This is not what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. I have stayed a number of times in The Ardilaun over the past 20 or so years, and this visit was very disappointing. The swimming pool tiles need replacing and facilities upgraded. The staff were pleasant.

Oldie world sort of hotel. Really clean and the staff are all friendly and warm. Bernie at reception is so professional yet really kind at the same time. I would totally recommend this hotel.
