Thank you for a great experience. We really appreciated the anniversary touches in our room with desert and lovely prosecco. A great surprise! We will return yearly on our anniversary in the future to celebrate with the lovely staff Carton as a result of their dedication, hospitality and attention to detail. Our room was super cozy and thanks to the reception who organised a late check out. CJ in the spa did a fabulous massage and Brian the dedicated concierge who is clearly very passionate about Carton gave us an unexpected tour of the beautiful rooms and whiskey library. Reception was lovely, as were the people working there. Restaurant was great for breakfast the first morning but seems to be understaffed the second morning.

Alles war perfekt

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay from feeling welcomed and valued the minute I stepped through the door and well looked after for the duration of my stay. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly and the hotel is simply picturesque.

Beautiful place to stay. Feels like living in a castle. Amazing huge lands around.

So big that we had to walk at least 10 minutes to get to the hotel restaurant. Also not very well adapted if travelling with a child - the baby phone wouldn't reach that far. Staff at the pool wasn't very helpful/polite.

Really restful, interiors are lovely and in keeping with the history of the house We got to take the complimentary bikes out and get to see the grounds and Maynooth. (The bikes were a little clicky) but we were delighted they were available to use.

At breakfast on our first morning, they forgot to serve our full Irish breakfast. Lots of people had come in ate and left by the time we got ours. We had to remind staff we hadn’t gotten it and also we had to ask twice for fresh tea. The staff were lovely and friendly but seemed to forgot to serve us.

This place is magical- absolutely beautiful and tastefully decorated with gorgeous ground that you can walk for hours. The food, the room, the staff- everything was perfection! The best hotel we have ever stayed at in Ireland, and maybe the best of our entire travels. Highly recommend!

food and drink were very expensive so charging 10% service charge on top is stretching things a bit ...especially if you're sitting at the bar and the service involves pouring a pint and handing it across the counter !

Se are promised a breakfast basket as we left early and nothing was prepared.

Didnt get breakfast as my wife got sick on arrival and we were unable to use the facilities and had to go check out get a doctor at 6.15am following morning.

Fantastic location and domain. Rooms were comfortable and the hotel is overall very beautiful, full of old world charm.

Restaurant, the Carraige House, was not up to standard of a hotel of this caliber. The waitress misunderstood our order, was not listening mostly to what we were saying. The bill when we saw it the next day was very confusing and we had to query it with the receptionist. The person there herself had to look at it twice but instead of apologizing she explained that the service charge was not obligatory, when in fact it is because it is part of your bill and you are asked to pay the total, and the VAT is added at the end, but only relates to the food....totally confusing!! Also, the waitress had a dirty uniform at breakfast in the morning which stood out as the breakfast itself was lovely and the breakfast room was superb. Disappointed with the service overall in the hotel. Not 4 or 5 star!

Beautiful Bar area to relax in. Breakfast was delicious and room was stunning. Staff were friendly but professional.

Dinner in coach house was nice, but not great, T-Bone was poor quality. Wellness area in Spa wasn't 5* - very small jacuzzi and only one side (half the jets) were working properly. Also the tiles around this area were a bit grubby.
