This hotel is family run. The staf is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and nice, and the localisation of the hotel is great. You're very close to the sea, to the historical centre of the city and to a lots of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. The Wi-Fi in the hotel is working great!

Breakfast is good and tasty, but is served only from 8 AM.

The room is very clean. It’s easy to find the hotel and the owner is very kind, and accommodating. It’s very easy to get to the room, they have a key locker and send you the details to get to your room, if they are not at the reception. The water in the shower is hot, and the hotel is perfectly located in the old city center, very cute area. The wifi is ok.

The hotel was very well located, although on a veeery narrow street that cars can barely fit. The hotel is simple but well maintained and reasonably equiped. Beds are very comfortable. The staff is so kind and also extremely polite with a perfect English.

The room and bathroom is rather small. The shower box is not fully closed and thus some water inevitably sprays on the bathroom floor.

2 minutes from the beach/small playground, restaurants, museums... Genius. It was such a great location. I returned 3 times on separate occasions. The reception made it for me. Stelios and his sister were SO helpful and friendly. They guided and directed me, helped me with everything and really made me feel the Greek welcome.

I liked having an outside space the first time I stayed - on the second with a bigger room it didn't have an outside space so I would check what you are after :)

Rea is a Cosy hotel in the city with clean comfortamble rooms and helpful and friendly staff. It's close to the sea, where I loved to walk with an amazing view, and in the morning I visited the museums that are walking distance only 5' from the hotel. Stelios at the reception showed me the way to everything nearby. Breakfast served in bouffe with many choices, I really enjoyed greek eggs, yogurt and honey and they provide a variety of coffe and tea as well. I had l a great time!

Amazing location down town! Everything is nearby! Great breakfast! tasteful homemade cake and a big variety of coffee to choose! Very clean and friendly plus helpful staff! I will be back again very soon! Rea Hotel is Highly Recommended!

This hotel was very good value, in a quiet area and near lots of nice restaurants. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Staff were also very helpful.

The WiFi didn't work for us and we also couldn't get signal in the building, only outside.

Staff was friendly and helpful and provided a map, and their interior and cleanliness were great. Breakfast was a bonus too. A cosy place to stay while in Heraklion for sure. Even came with fridge and staff provided kitchen utensils upon request.

The entrance is pretty secluded. Probably the only downside to the place is that there's no lobby to hang around and can get pretty cramped if there's many people in the reception area.

The location of the hotel is great. The room is equipped with all necessary things, is very clean and quiet. The staff is very nice and pleasant. Wi-fi was excellent. The breakfast is good for the value. I have a pleasant stay in the hotel and I recommend it.

We made the mistake of a shared bathroom but it wasn’t busy. Poor coffee.

Good location for Heraklion city and getting to bus station and ferry

We hardly had any sleep as there was a very frequent loud noise coming from somewhere in the hotel. Nothing to do with the guests - possibly some piping or infrastructure of some kind.

The hotel was very accommodating. The room was comfortable enough.

There was not much space in the room, and it was a bit dark. No curtain in the bathroom.

We always stay at Rea!!! It's no brainer for us when in Heraklio.

Staff very extremely helpful and spoke english well. Convenient location. Clean. Good air con. Breakfast available and reasonable price. Good place to stay if you want good value, clean, family run hotel easy walk to old town and you do not care about a view.

Staff is very helpful. Room is clean, has a mini fridge and more than enough towels provided There are 2 very good Greek restaurants 1 minute away. Ask the staff for directions!
