Nice service best food Tipical from Costa Rica

Everything was really nice, attention on the table, fast service. And nice food.

Nos encanto la ubicacion, desayuno excelente y la habitacion.

Que la habitación era un poco caliente, talvez un abanico o A/C opcional, lo demás todo bien.

Le bruit du train qui passe juste à côté à n’importe quelle heure du jour et de la nuit

Minha estadia foi caótica! O quarto não tinha nenhum tipo de ventilação (ar condicionado ou ventilador) e quando eu pedi um ventilador para a recepcionista ela disse que as acomodações iriam passar por uma reforma e aí sim eles colocariam os ventiladores. A cama era tal velha que dava para sentir as molas ao deitar! O chuveiro era tão ruim que todas as vezes que ligava ele alagava o banheiro (e ia escorrendo para o quarto). A toalha que nos deram era tão ruim que não secava. Em resumo: acho que eles precisam melhorar muito.

Die Lage

Wir haben ein Zimmer in einem anderen Teil bekommen, ein Apartment, das Teil des unten Liegebänken Restaurants zu sein schien, aber nicht Teil des eigentlichen Hotels. Die Ausstattung war komplett anders. Das Bett unbequem. Das Bad extrem klein, nur mit Dusche. Das Klo separat, ebenfalls extrem klein mit winzigem Waschbecken.

Frühstück war nichts besonderes, Lärm vom Zug ist sehr gut hörbar

La ubicación, personal agradable y amable, sin embargo harían falta botes de basura en las habitaciones, toallas y jabón de baño

Ruhige Lage

Wc Spühlung defekt, Bett durchgelegen und man hat die Bettfedern gespührt. Roch muffig.

Se veía que solo una persona estaba atendiendo muchas cosas al mismo tiempo y eso hizo algo lento el desayuno por ejemplo, le caería bien una ayuda extra

La ubicación muy buen, las habitaciones bien lo necesario para una buena estancia

Que el desayuno sea el mismo todos los días y un poco mas de empatía del personal en ayudar al huesped a subir maletas al primer piso.

La atención fue muy buena , ambos recepcionistas muy amables y atentos.

It was clean and the young people who work there are very kind. They provide a nice breakfast in a nice open cafe. It is in an interesting area with many restaurants and bars. The price was good for a city.

The bed was torture! I was there three nights and it was ridiculous how bad the bed was. The owner should be ashamed and he should spend some money for new beds. My bed was nothing but springs with rough edges and hard as a rock. I slept 12 hours the first night at my next hotel which was cheaper, and the manager said their comfortable beds cost about $300 for two. Luz de la Luna calls itself a boutique hotel. I may have had the worst room in the place, facing right on their narrow driveway with cars pulling in and out and honking and yelling. The other rooms may be "boutique" But if they have beds like mine then they are not.

No AC, had to ask for a ventilator. Ventilator was provided to me the next day.

Nice location and front terrace

The room I booked was nothing like the photos they use to advertise the hotel. It was dark, extremely small to the point the furniture didn’t fit inside, and smelled humid. Hotel amenities were of very poor quality and towels were actually cleaning cloths

This is one of the most shabby places I have ever stayed. I probably have 2000 nights in different hotels around the world and this would be around bottom 5 om the list.

The breakfast was delicious and all staff was friendly and helpful.

Our room had a window leading into the hallway so you could hear everything happening at the hostel, which didn’t feel comfortable or private. There were also construction work happening at/around the hostel the night we stayed there so it was very loud in general. Also our sheets has stains on them, so not very clean.

The room was spacious for just one person, everything very clean. the breakfast was lovely and the area where you go to eat is really nicely decorated and has lovely interior. the staff were very kind and friendly. I mostly used this as a place to stay whilst recovering jet lag and before heading to elsewhere in Costa Rica but the area was the only nice and safe area in San Jose with lots of cool bars & restaurants.

As others mentioned there is a train that runs early morning but you will hear that anywhere in Barrio Escalante and I would rather hear that than be in the other areas of the city. It’s not super fancy but comfortable and very clean.
