I had booked a double suite for 2 adults for 5 nights at $1400. Upon arrival I was told it was a single occupancy room and should pay the second adult extra. When going on “view room details” there is a section where you can update guest info. It was automatically set to 1 guest eventhough at booking the room was advertised as price for 2 adults. I had just forgotten to update guest info before checkin and therefore was charged extra eventhough I had paid for 2 adults already. We later changed the hotel and I could simply update the guest info to 2 without being charged twice.

The included breakfast was great quality and always a great start to the day. My favorite was the bike availability for us to use. we used the bikes everyday and definitely saved us a lot of walking or having to pay for taxi.

The staff was absolutely amazing - not just responsive to our needs but anticipated them! Breakfast was amazing with a full buffet plus special orders. Our room was modern and spacious and was immaculately clean. The location was perfect for us as it was very close to the pier which was convenient for all of the excursions and ferries. We appreciated the complimentary use of bicycles which was perfect for exploring Puerto Ayora
That we had to leave and couldn’t bring this caliber of stay to San Christobal!

Great location. Great service from the front desk, answering all of our questions and helping guide us to set up excursions, find restaurants, etc... Breakfast service was good, but we would have preferred more hot choices. (eggs were very well prepared). Clean water was very easy to acquire, refill.
The price struck us as a little high once our full Galapagos trip was completed. But, the quality of service, and the room were more than acceptable. Very friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed our time at Ikala.

Brilliant location for the port which is helpful as many day trips in the Galapagos start early. Exceptionally helpful staff - with luggage and some logistics issues we had to work through. Nice rooms & brekkie too.
Watchout that there are a lot of steps incase that’s not your thing. Addition of accessible filtered water in the lobby would be great.

The location is great and the staff was AMAZING!!! They were very accommodating and spoke very good english. They had bikes for day use which was so nice, and we used it as our primary mode of transport during our stay. The bed was two queen beds put together- AWESOME and the room was really roomy and comfortable. We loved this place, albeit seems a bit overpriced- we paid about $1000 for a 3 night stay. The pool was superb and we enjoyed the location! We love the restaurant view and that this place is a eco resort. The rooms were super clean as well! Would return.
The bathroom does not have a door, so using the commode with other people in the room is weird. The price was a little high. It was noisy- but given its location, was expected.

The rooms are large and very comfortable with a large bathroom and with a nice balcony.
There is a small pleasant pool area with bar and bar food. Breakfasts are excellent and served on the rooftop with a lovely view of the harbour. Quiet hotel but 2 minutes walk to the main area for boats and restaurants. Pleasant and helpful staff.
