Breakfast was fresh homemade awesome.
Location was perfect across the road from the sea front - short walk to the Town, Pier, Buses couldn’t have wished for anywhere more central
No option for an evening meal .

Location is excellent being on the seafront and having a nice view of the pier not far away.
We did not partake of breakfast but I'm sure it would have been very good indeed!
The rooms and hallways had some nice, and well chosen pieces of furniture and art work which gave each room a personal touch.
Parking is available with vouchers to use in most pay and display bays in the seafront area.
Very happy in all regards.

Needed an emergency stay in Eastbourne and this hotel and host were perfect. Falling asleep listening to the sound of the waves certainly helped me during a very stressful time. Thank you!

The location is a little out of the centre, but there is a major bus route close by. The owner is very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. The continental breakfast was excellent, with home-made muesli, jams and yoghurt. All in all, a very enjoyable stay, and very good value for money.
A lift would have made accessing my room on the second floor easier, but the lack of one is hardly a criticism - it is an old and characterful building, and probably built before they were invented.

Friendly and charming hotel. Lovely views of the sea. Pristine room with thoughtful touches and pleasant decor throughout. Great water pressure in the shower. Exceptionally kind host, serving delicious coffee and fantastic conversation, while also being respectful of privacy and very accommodating of my in and out hours. A stellar experience. Looking forward to my next visit! ☺️👌

Nothing was too much trouble for host, Eddy. He was very accommodating and doted on our doggy. It was obvious that he valued all his guests and wanted them to have the optimum experience at The Royal. We did!

An excellent stay at a very lovely hotel in a great location in Eastbourne. When i arrived after a tiring days travel, had a warm, and friendly welcome from the owner. As soon as i was shown the room i had paid for, i was offered-for no extra cost-the room that has a magnificent sea view. Only seconds from the main pier, this was generous and is not necessarily the sort of thing everyone would do. The hotel owner Eddie is a really genuine, warm, and friendly man. He can offer good advice on where to eat, shop, sightsee etc. Having never visited this town before, it was really handy to have someone like that on hand.

Super clean hotel. It was very quiet and the host was extremely friendly and helpful. It didn't feel like a hotel; more like home away from home. Some of the rooms also offer sea view, which is a great addition. The sea front is right across the road and a couple of minutes away you will find the pier. Fantastic location. Definitely a place to come back to in the future.
