The location is perfect, the staff is very nice and the service is very good. We enjoyed a very good massage at the spa. The girls were really good, and they knew what they were doing.

From the moment we arrived until the time we left, 11 days later, we had the most amazing holiday, wedding and honeymoon thanks to the hotel and, in particular, its staff. They couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is authentic to Zanzibar. The beach villas are beautifully presented. Whoever thinks the resort needs updating is way off the mark. This is one of the only resorts where you feel a bit of the local culture. Not a soulless repetition of hotels round the world. The resort is spotlessly clean with staff working on the accommodation and grounds all day long. When it came to our wedding, they organised every aspect and was entirely personal to us. With expansive grounds the photo opportunities are never ending. We couldn't have wished for a better hotel for our special day. The restaurants always prepared wonderful breakfasts and varied themed dinners. Lunch on the beach or round the pool was also of the highest quality. We look forward to returning to make more memories and enjoy the hospitality. Keep up the great work!
Maybe an additional a la carte offering would be our only suggestion.

The beach, the pool and the restaurant and cocktails were amazing!
The rooms are also perfect and the view beautiful!
We liked the theme nights at the restaurant, and it is a very kid friendly resort, which was perfect for us!
The staff is also very helpful, professional and very friendly!
I do not like a shower curtain, but that is just personal preference, so not really something bad.

Amazing resort. Every detail on the ground in place, palm trees all around. Spacious and clean. Dinner with different themes every night accompanied with live music - African night was the best !!!
As we had half-board we ate lunch couple of times, tasty food at good price. Everything in Tanzania is "pole pole" (slowly) so brace yourself for longer(erer) waiting time for anything
We travelled around the island and visited few other places too, this was the best by far
The resort serves quite an international guest groups, so not having electricity adapters and USB connectors in the rooms it is quite not ok ( we even had them in the safari tents in the middle of nowhere 😉)
Staff is very very kind, but for an exclusive resort men have to wear deodorant, not acceptable to have a sweat whiff while being served dinner

1/ Beach restaurant - plastic tables (spoiling all atmosphere - pls replace by other type)
2/ The shower was leaking and a the toilet area it was stinky like from unwashed dog mixed with urina ...
3/ We were not helped with bags during check out ..I managed to uplift 2 bags (each 23 kgs, the stairs were long)
4/ The hotels' manager came to other people to clarify how was the staying - for us not

Beautiful location, perfectly maintained garden and green area around the resort as well as the rooms. Excellent food, fresh and lot of variety. I loved different thematic dinners every evening with many delicious dishes and particularly enjoyed Indian and Asian one. Also, there are various very interesting daily activities to participate at and to enjoy, I can recommend Swahili classes and palm weaving. Hotel best feature, in my opinion, is its amazing staff. Their service is excellent, friendly, enthusiastic and kind. Wherever you go, from the reception desk, restaurants, guest services and room maintenance you are always welcomed by big, warm smile and their willingness to make your stay as enjoyable. Many thanks to lovely people - Jenipher, Neema, Jacqline, Festo, Juma. And special thanks to many others that worked hard behind the scenes but we didn't have the pleasure to get their names or to meet them in person. You all made this holiday exceptional experience. I have only compliments for Ocean Paradise. The only thing I would suggest, if possible, to install an ATM machine within hotel premises.

The buffet dinner is excellent, every evening it is different (Italian, Indian, Mediterranean, etc...), I really liked the Swahili and the Indian cuisine. Breakfast is very good, everything is fresh and tasty and the fruits are fantastic. Beach is absolutely breathtaking, I have never experienced such landscapes, but swimming is a challenge, at low tides- impossible as the water withdraws for 1-2km and on high tide there is usually wind and strong current (my stay was end of May-beginning of June, maybe it is different in other periods of the year).
The staff is very friendly and helpful; special thanks to Jenipher, Neema, Festo, Juma for the animation activities, and to all the others behind the scene whose hard work and good mood contribute for exceptional holidays. Asante sana :-)

We were 7 nights in this hotel. We enjoyed comfortable rooms, delicious food, a large pool, an interesting entertainment program (every evening was a live music show). The hotel workers were very kind and smiling. The service given in the hotel's spa was excellent, so we wanted to thank the spa team too. Special thanks to Festo. Festo, you are a special man and thank you for the job you do, the experience in this hotel

The buffets selection is varied with great theme nights.
The gardens are really well kept.
The beach chairs are so comfy.
Air conditioning could have been better (it was hot and humid still at night).
The reception should be able to break a 100 dollar bill (bring lots of change). No ATM close by.
The beach bois working can be quite tiresome trying to sell you daily activities and stuff.

The hotel garden is very beautiful and clean, the hotel staff is very kind, the food is very good,
-I didn't like that you only have 1 liter ( 2 persons ) of water included in the price of the room per day,considering that you pay half board, and for the dinner you don't even have a bottle of water for a price paid of 350 euro/ night.
-The beach is ok but you can't swim in the ocean
-pillows are hard
