Great location, super clean

Very minor, there was no coffee in the complimentary tea/coffee section.

Old, but nice hotel in an interesting part of town. We got a rather large room with big windows overlooking a peaceful backyard with beautiful trees.

Room phone did not work.

The room was a good size, clean, warm and yet we could open the windows for a breeze. The outlook from the window was pleasant. The room was very quiet and we were completely undisturbed. The location was ideal for reaching the city and Klein Flottbeck which was the venue for the show jumping competitions. The breakfast was plentiful; good value and good choice.

The lounge and reception areas were not very inviting; lacking in character and poorly lit.

For what it is, it is really overpriced. But most hamburg hotels are overpriced.

so when i arrived, I had an important business call and the internet didn't work. It was an important call so I went to the desk to mention, that the internet is too slow. The way how the stuff reacted to my issue was horrible. They were like "For me, it's working", "we can't do anything", extremely unhelpful, zero empathy and they were acting like I am pretending that it's not working. I couldn't feel any helpfulness or customer focus. After having a loud discussion one of the staff restarted the wifi, in a pretty pissed way - without even letting me know after the restart was done. How would you feel if you pay 100$ to being not able to attend a important call? would you treat your guest in that way? leaving you some important questions to reflect on. Btw: there is a lot of ways to optimize your wifi, you could adjust the wifi settings, channel, you could spend a few bucks to get more proper repeaters, but you HAVE to deliver a internet connection that works.

when we came back after first day the room door was open, I think the cleaner left it open.

the hotel is right around the corner of the Schanzenviertel in Hamburg. Lots of bars and restaurants. Everything within walking distance.

for the money that we paid it was completely fine! however, don’t look to close into the corners of the bathroom. otherwise clean.

Big, nice rooms. Very close to Schantzenviertel, which is a nice area with lots of restaurants and shops. Secure parking.
