Close to Cloud Forest park. Beautiful property.

This is a stunning property- the view from our room was lovely. My kids enjoyed sitting in the enclosed patio and looking out the window, I enjoyed reading my book and resting after a day of hiking. Very responsive staff!! They returned my messages promptly and helped arrange a guide for me as well as booking a dinner for the night of our arrival. Very clean rooms and bathrooms - loved the organic toiletries as well. Walking distance to the Cloud Forest and not a very long drive into town! Wonderful location. We will be back for a longer stay!

The location was good. The breakfast was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was freezing cold, stuffy and damp. The bedding had a bad odour as if it hadn't been washed in a long time. I had a hard time falling asleep as I didn't want the bedding close to my face but was freezing at the same time. Not a restful night.

Beautiful views and fantastic staff.

Walls were a little thin but we travel with ear plugs and family stayed on either side of us so were all respectful of each other.

The reason I am writing this is to say that sometimes I feel cheated when I pay and get suboptimal services and poor conditions. I paid 150 USD for the room; there were hair in the bathroom and small "indoor" cockroaches.

Beds not comfortable, was dated, very low energy overall. People were just doing their job

The free breakfast was limited, yet staff easily accommodated our request for more fresh fruit. We brought our own soy milk and cereal. Staff cheerfully provided bowls for us. We enjoyed the view from the balcony mountain-view room. There was a desk, but no chair. There were, however, two excellent chairs facing the forest and mountains. We enjoyed the garden grounds and the birds the flowers attracted. There were plenty of plugs in the room for charging all our gear. The restaurant offerings were excellent, with good vegan choices. The park is only a 15 minute walk away.

It was not a necessity, but we could have used a microwave and fridge in the room. The rooms are not sound proofed, so noisy neighbors may be an issue. We had none. When there was a strong wind, our windows would hum. We grew to enjoy the mountain sounds.

Comfy room, nice staff, really close to the park entrance (15min walk) which made it easy to arrive when the park opened at 7am (also because breakfast was served from 6:30am). Nice pancake breakfast with fresh fruit.

There was a bright light from the parking lot shining into my room.

Beautiful setting within walking distance of Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Staff were friendly and helpful and brought us extra blankets and a heater as it was so cold.

Inside of the hotel is quite dark!!

This hotel was well run, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, with nice linens, lots of blankets and a choice of good pillows. We slept well. The food at the restaurant was good while the service was excellent.
