Beautiful house we loved the wrap around screen porch. Can’t wait to book again

We had a wonderful time at this property! The house had everything we needed to comfortably stay with our four children, 2 dogs and grandparents. The separate suite downstairs was a perfect area for my parents to have their own space while my family and I took over the upstairs! Pros: great location, communication was excellent, fully equipped with all kitchen essentials, fans, baby items etc.They even had pet crates and dog beds for pet use if needed
My only con and advice for the host would be to update the dock area and have it cleaned for cob webs prior to guest check in. We had several cob webs to break up and spiders to rid of before allowing our small children on the dock. There are also several nails popped up which could really hurt bare feet of all ages. We used the dock every day and night to swim and fish. It was fully functional but again could use some work. We also brought our boat with us so use of the covered dock area was really nice. Some hooks and storage to hang life jackets and fishing gear on the dock would be a nice addition so guests do not have to bring everything up to the house each evening. Overall, we had a great time. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The place was very clean, the staff is amazing. But the quite views from the back porch are breathtaking. Sunrise and sunset. Highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay! When we arrived, there was a welcome tray of goodies to enjoy and the basic paper products were provided so we didn't have to rush to the grocery. The living area was wide open and could accommodate our entire family in a variety of different activities, but we could still be together. The view from the back porch was even better than expected! The host couldn't have been easier to communicate with and we would highly recommend this property!

Lake Norman is amazing and this property has you feeling spoiled being right on the lake. The house has 2 bedrooms on the upstairs with 2 bedrooms. The downstairs area with the third bedroom is completely separate with no access from the inside. The kitchen/living are is a large open floor plan. The kitchen is full of almost everything one would need. There are also games and books to enjoy. It's a great property to families. No complaints.

The house was just charming. All of the beds and furniture were comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well stocked for most any cooking need. The dock and fire pit areas are great and the kayaks and paddle board were used most every day. We were there for the 4th of July week and we had great views of fireworks 4 nights that were spectacular! We would definitely stay here again.

This is exactly what our family needed from a vacation! The view was amazing, house was impressive with cleanliness and everything you needed in the kitchen. This was a great surprise! No issues whatsoever, you can't go wrong with this property! We would to be again soon. Thanks again!

This host pays attention to detail to create the best possible VRBO vacation for you. The house and location are second to none! The property is gorgeous and well maintained. Coffee is provided, and the kitchen is stocked with all the kitchen utensils and things you need to create family meals. There’s even a well stocked assortment of herbs and spices! There are plenty of towels, beds are comfortable, and everything was clean! We enjoyed the wrap around porch, the ping pong table, and kayaks. We did not get a chance to boat this trip, but we’d love to come back and take advantage of the boat drop off arrangement that the host can connect you with. We loved Charlotte, but fell in love with lake Norman and Mooresville. Who knows…we may be back in 10 years to retire in this area.

The house is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful setting. The house contains every amenity, plus a kitchen with every utensil needed. Very clean & the fully enclosed wrap around porch is breathtaking overlooking the lake. The welcome basket was a wonderful surprise too!

We have been coming to Lake Norman for years and per usual had a great time. The house location was great and the house was super cute and had everything we needed! Although we had a great time, we do think the house could have been cleaner.

We stayed here for one glorious week in August and it was as close to perfect as we could get. The photos accurately represent the property. The wrap around screened in porch with the lake views made this place for me! The open floor plan inside was so nice. No one ever felt closed off. There is tons of natural light too! The large island in the kitchen provided a great space for cooking.
The dock, fire pit, and lower level suite were great. The location is convenient and the neighborhood is quiet.
I would def recommend this property and Southern Charm Retreats. They were easy to work with and responsive!

Peaceful Lake days
This house sits on an elevated lot which enhances the views and the breezes of the lake. A small island 200 meters away helps to keep the waters calm around the dock and the large cove beyond the island was perfect for boating/water sports. The inside of the house is very nicely renovated/updated. The only suggested improvement would be to fix the icemaker - an expected utility for the weekly cost if this rental. Overall we had a fantastic week and would highly recommend this property.

Received a four star based upon late communication with a problem with prior renters, thorough cleanliness of property (porch, underneath couches), some kitchen needs. Otherwise, if these areas are attended to, it is well worth a visit!

Christmas getaway
Our family has been vacationing in VRBO rentals for years and this house is by far one of our favorites. The view is stunning! The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. They even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree up when we arrived. We will definitely be back.

My parents flew in from New Mexico and we were trying to maximize our time together. Since my husband and I have 2 dogs which we view as part of the family, this was a perfect spot. The open kitchen allowed us to easily prepare meals while still interacting with the family. The screened in porch was the perfect spot to take in the amazing sunrise and sunset. We utilized the lower suite as a way where both couples could get some privacy. My husband and I enjoyed playing ping pong in the evenings and fishing off the beautiful dock during the day. Somehow during our week stay we still didn’t find time to kayak or utilize the perfect fire pit, as we enjoyed relaxing on the cozy sofa and watching movies so much! It was wonderful to have such a clean and upgraded home with such wonderful views that allowed dogs to enjoy family time. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

The only problem is the lighting on the outside of the property is not working. This makes it very difficult to see at night. Two of my guest tripped. The fireplace has a mind of its own. The pilot light would constantly go out. We contacted the management company but the problems were not resolved. Too bad because this is a 5-star property.

The location and drive on the way to the home are gorgeous! Everything about it was wonderful. Nice touch with the treats and sparkling water that were left for us. Our friends that joined us on this trip now want to rent this place too. We will be back for sure!

The house is set in a picturesque location overlooking the lake. The drive in through the golf course with is manicured landscaping is also spectacular. Sitting on the screened in porch with coffee every morning was a perfect way to start the day and never got old. The house was well appointed and had a lot of character with a large drive. Would definitely rent this house again.
