Facility layout and variety of spaces catered well for the large number of guests. Quiet rooms and air conditioners! Affordable bar and restaurant with sufficient choice that delivered to a good standard. Staff worked tirelessly between different areas of operation and delivered a good customer experience.

Reception either needed more staff or a leaner process at check-in during peak times. Garage card reader and in-hotel smart system in need of maintenance as neither were fully operational.

It was very clean, a spacious modern room, a nice breakfast and a great communal lobby area with plenty of seating. Laundry room was also great to have!

The location is at the top of a steep hill so I would bear that in mind. To get back from the centre you have to walk up the hill, although not far.

Great welcoming, very nice staff, the buffet breakfast was a highlight of our stay, usually hotel breakfasts are crap, this one has to be the nicest one we’ve had by far! The room was nice, clean, spacious and just what we needed. The location was perfect (apart from coming back up the hill lol) We checked out but wernt flying home till later so we left our suitcase there which was super handy that we didn’t have to lug it round with us. Late checkout for being an ihg member is awesome!

Please have mushrooms and tomatoes on the same day, they both are delicious but would have loved to have them both on the same plate Our bed was uncomfortable but we stayed with 14 others and they all loved their beds so just personal preference 🤷‍♀️ Front desk service could be a little faster?

Comfortable room, didn't want to leave the room. Walking distance to the town and walking tracks but away from the bustling town. Good food.

We ended up being upgraded as our room wasn’t ready 45 minutes after check in time. The staff were the best we’ve experienced.

Room was comfortable and we had a nice view of the lake and mountains. Breakfast was fine. Short walk down the hill into the waterfront area. There is a small dinner menu available in the reception area which was great for one evening that was very windy and wet.

Housekeeping was a little hit and miss and minimal clean up done during a four day stay - even when we left the notice on the door. A water advisory is in place at this time. We were given 2 bottles of water and then required to refill them ourselves. There was one filling station which was very slow and often had a line up. Fresh water provided to the room would have been appropriate at this price point.

Fantastic location, we walked everywhere & were able to park our rental car nearby on side streets for free. The room looked bigger than the pictures - very spacious, two TVs & lots of sitting areas. It also felt very clean. My partner liked the buffet breakfast, in particular, the mushrooms, hashbrowns & pineapple juice.

Our toilet had a stench but it wasnt THAT bad that we wanted to complain about it.. it was just as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a while & there wasn’t great ventilation. Also, we noted our sheets weren’t changed everyday because we could tell there were little dots in the same spot everyday. Not a big deal honestly but our towels weren’t washed one day too when we requested our room to be made up.

Room was not ready keep saying 1hour it was 3 hours late short staffed so no room cleaning had to ask for towels no rubbish removed from room with a three day stay clean towels and rubbish removal should be a must

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful and made our stay so much easier. The view from our hotel room was absolutely amazing and the way the room was set up felt very comfortable and spacious. We really appreciated how the hotel offers breakfast and how we could have breakfast boxes to take away when we had to leave early in the morning The bathroom was very clean and spacious with shampoos, conditioners and body wash provided. The bus stop and tour pickup point is literally just right next to the hotel which was so convenient.

Like the other posts have mentioned, there is a busy street outside of the hotel so it is very important to be patient while crossing the road. There’s also a slight climb when you’re coming back to the hotel but it wasn’t too much of a bother for us.

I paid a premium price due to a busy weekend and didn’t think it was worth what I paid.

Breakfast included was a great incentive to book with Holiday Inn. The reception room and bar were very welcoming and comfortable. Staff were amazing, so happy and polite.

The wait for our room was excessive. We arrive shortly after 3pm and the room wasn't ready until close to 7.30pm. We understand that the hotel was short staffed but 4 1/2 hours was a long wait.

Location is in walking distance to town center.

Not enough parking space and we couldn’t book it in advance, they said theres free parking around property but when we were there, there was none so we park very far from the property.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, however you could see that they were under staff and we were made aware of this when checking in. They had a offer to help with shortage of staff by not getting the room serviced every day and rewarded with $15 per person to use towards other areas in the hotel such as food which I thought was a great incentive and should be a offer always available to reduce environmental impact of getting rooms serviced daily. The food for dinner was delicious and coffee machine was great. We managed to score parking outside the hotel but something to consider if with car that you may have to pay as parking is limited.

The mattress is so uncomfortable too firm and linen quality isn’t the best.

Very hard bed struggled to sleep and woke up quite sore.

I stayed here on two separate occasions in the one week (different rooms). The first time I stayed, I thought the room could have been cleaned better as I noticed a few stray hairs in the bathroom. However, my second room was much cleaner! Comfy beds, and a nice size room. Loved the shower! I also used the gym and found it great although there is limited equipment. The self - service laundry was also extremely useful and helpful! The check in staff were lovely and are very polite, even when I noticed them dealing a difficult guest. Kudos to them! The lobby/ reception area of the hotel is wonderful! Its a short walk down to the town, but note that its an uphill walk on the way back!

Cleanliness needs to be improved and monitored so its the same level across the board. There were a lot of roadworks near the hotel, and the car park was full although I still found it easy to park nearby, and it was free!

Car park was full and you had to park your car in the street some 5/10 minutes walk from the hotel For a brand name hotel and the money we were paying i would say not good enough

Great location, buffet breakfast was nice, staff are great!

No car parking available all weekend, had to find public road parking which was a nightmare due to road works. The rooms were tiny for the price per night (nearly $500 a night!) They took a $100 bond however due to visa fees, only refunded a portion of that (took over $20 of it) Bit cheeky!
