Plusses: Clean, pleasantly decorated, beautiful property, convenient location but out of the fray, adequately equipped, owner was easy to contact and prompt in replying. Minuses: Half bath on second floor is about as big as a card table and access is through a bedroom. Full bath on first floor was small and door could not be shut completely. Bedrooms were quite small. We were all in our 70's and 80's and would have preferred a lot more functional space. A lovely home for one young and agile family.

A beautiful, clean, inviting home!

We stayed here the weekend of July 22nd for a girls weekend. The house was clean and cozy. Great amenities including a cute little welcome basket. Location was just outside of town which was close enough to all the attractions yet quiet for a restful sleep each night. Would definitely stay here again!

Our 2 nights and 3 days there were great! The cottage was very cute and pretty well stock with other amenities. Otherwise the host, Alissa was very nice and helpful.

This property is a lovely cottage with outdoor areas, including large deck, fire pit and lawn areas. We were visiting family in the area and used it as a homebase. It is on a quiet road and yet very close to many Door County attractions. We would definitely consider booking again if the occasion arose.

Clean and well maintained

Very nice property located just minutes from Sister Bay. A very big and private backyard with lots to do. The cottage was nice and cozy while comfortably fitting our group.

We had a very wonderful 1st time coming to Door county, the property was more than what we expected, it was cozy and clean. We were able to celebrate my husbands birthday around the fire pit and we has breakfast every morning in the nice table in the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped very nicely. There is enough room around the house for everyone to do something or just sit around to read a book and relax. We would for sure go back!!!

Large deck and big yard made a great place to play with the kids.

The cottage was gorgeous and in a great location in Sister Bay. We enjoyed a lot of amenities this property provided. We loved reading about the family history of the cottage. It made staying there even more unique.

This was an absolutely beautiful home and located in such a great area. We organized this trip for us and our in laws to spend some time exploring door county with them and our 1 year old son. The house was so beautiful and we had enough rooms for everyone (we just brought a pack n play for one room). The yard and deck are even better than pictures our son loved crawling in the grass and exploring. The neighborhood was also great we walked to the little library and ice cream every night. Thank you for making everything so beautiful and for such clear instructions and notes on everything, it made the house very easy to navigate. This house is great for a family trip highly reccomend!

Such a cute place! Stayed for a bachelorette party! Fit 6 of us perfectly! So close to all the activities we had planned in sister bay!

We visited the Beach Cottage for my Bachelorette party. It was a perfect girls weekend in door county, exploring the peninsula and enjoying all door county has to offer! The Beach cottage was a great location in sister bay, away from loud night life but close enough to everything, and the place was adorable! Clean and beautiful views out every window. The trees around the property did not disappoint for the fall season. The hosts were so clear with check in and so considerate. It was clear that they have thought everything out for your stay. The welcome basket was amazing and we can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay in the Beach Road house, which is in a very convenient location -- close to the Sister Bay town, but not in the middle of the traffic there. It is a clean, well-kept, quiet property with a nicely-equipped kitchen and an adjacent main-floor bedroom and bathroom, for those who don't want to use stairs too often. We noted how much our grand-daughter enjoyed the Wii games in the bunkbed/sitting room upstairs. The WiFi worked well. It's a good house for those who want to cook, and we all enjoyed dining on the deck. The younger members of the family also played some games on the large lawn behind the house.

This home was more than perfect. Every little item was planned out…from providing rags for picking up, laundry detergent and a beautiful welcome basket. The outside was huge and lovely fire pit. The beds were so comfortable. It was great all around. Also, only 2 minutes from downtown. Perfect location. Will definitely plan on staying here again!

We had a great time, really enjoyed the size and location of the property. Loved the yard and all of the space in the house.

3 adults and 4 teens had plenty of room. Kids could walk to get ice cream and we were a short drive to Sister Bay. Owner was very communicative. Highly recommend.

Beach Road Cottage made our Bachelorette Party weekend perfect❤️. Such a cheery, relaxing home with an amazing back deck & firepit. Alissa was available for any questions and booking was so easy! Loved reading the history of this great house and many of our party plan to stay again! Thank you Beach Road Cottage!

We loved our stay here! The house is clean and comfortable with lots of homey touches. I was a little hesitant after reading the review that stated the home smelled smoked in, but that was not our experience in the slightest. Don’t let that scare you away from this great property!

The description lists the property as family friendly and non smoking. The property has clearly been smoked in... My guess is that someone who stays there often smokes inside. Once the initial potent perfume wears off, it stinks of cigarette smoke and there are several burn holes throughout the living space confirming it. We weren't comfortable having our children there breathing in the third hand smoke and it shouldn't be listed as family friendly for this reason alone.Secondly, the description included an amenity of a pack and play so we didn't pack ours. After searching the whole house multiple times, I attempted to contact the owner through email and phone call/voicemail. It was several hours before a response was received, at which time she blamed me for not telling her I needed it; I also didn't tell her that I needed the microwave and coffee pot, but that was there as listed. Finally, the bedding was not washed; there were several long black hairs found in the bedding so our first night was spent cleaning the bedding. It made us wonder what else hadn't been washed. Hopefully we don't end up sick over that place!

We had a good stay in the cottage. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had enough utensils, etc for meal preparation. We had a prompt response to questions.
