Our kids and grand kids came in town for my husbands 60th birthday. This cabin was the perfect getaway for us. Property was large, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The trail down to the lake was well maintained. The lake itself was a small community lake and a beautiful setting. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us!

This cabin is amazing! Super clean and beautiful. The best part of the property is the lake! It’s great and private dock perfect. The path to the lake is a little tricky but certainly doable. Would stay again.

First time immediate family has been able to gather in a few years and we couldn't have chosen a better spot. All necessary amenities available, plenty of space and proximity to the lake and hiking. Owners terrific working thru a scheduling screw up. All necessary information available in advance made for a memorable stay. Absolutely, highly recommend the KSW cabin for a group. Stunning property with lots of amenities

We stayed here to celebrate some birthdays, and we had a wonderful time. The cabin is all around amazing. The most well equipped cabin we have ever been to. The cabin ended up being more spacious than we anticipated which was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful wooded property overlooking the lake. Family enjoyed fishing off the private dock. Kitchen was stocked with all cooking supplies.

Jerry and Mike have thought of everything. Their cabin is wonderfully decorated, comfy mattresses, stocked with plenty of cooking supplies, not to mention a wonderful game closet and air hockey table. The cabin is located perfectly for all the hiking anyone could desire and looks over a beautiful lake. We are grateful they let us stay and would give this even more than 5 stars if allowed.

Great house for our extended family of 8 adults and two kids. House was as advertised, great location fairly close to town. Hosts were very responsive. Will definitely rent this one again!

Property was absolutely wonderful. Communication with hosts was clear and prompt. So much space inside and folks in the bedrooms upstairs commented on how quiet it was even with folks in the common space on the main floor. Hot tub was great, weather didn't cooperate for a fire but the fire pit area would've worked well(and plenty of chairs available to easily move over). Excellent stay, may come back again and highly recommend for a large group (we were 11)

LOVED OUR STAY HERE! Great communication, clean, well stocked, perfect location, beautiful deck… can’t say enough good things. We always do a fall trip but thinking about a summer trip to this cabin. It would be perfect in any season👍👍

We had a brief family gathering (3 nights) with 3 families from St. Louis & Louisville. Two families had children 4-8. Everyone was impressed from the minute we crossed the threshold of this newer cabin. Home has a wonderful open layout with a ton of windows and gas fireplace for cooler evenings. The bedrooms on 3 different levels worked extremely well for each family. The wrap around deck is perfect to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or evening cookouts while taking in the splendor of the fall foliage. Our family enjoyed the evening campfires while some relaxed in the hot tub. There was even a Sasquatch sighting (lol). Children loved the air hockey game. Some walked down the little trail to the lake and fished off the dock. Others hiked the trails of Natural Bridge State Park nearby. We highly recommend Kentucky Straight Wilderness cabin and look forward to our returned trip.

This cabin was perfect for our family of 8. There was plenty of space for everyone. The cabin was very spacious inside and outside. The view was great. There’s even a trail down to the lake with a nice deck area. The host was great, when we had a few questions they got right back to us and were very helpful. We would definitely stay at this cabin again if we came back to this area. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The surrounding woods were very quiet. We saw two deer. The path down to the large pond was a little hike, but very lovely. The beds were very comfortable, and the air in the cabin was clean.

We have finally found our perfect spot. With 4 actual bedrooms (no lofts) everyone got their own room. Kids got good sleep and you know how important that is. The location is great for getting to trailheads. The entire process was a breeze. We had an absolutely perfect weekend

The property was fantastic. Clean, private and spacious. Communication with the host was easy and the proximity to Deer Water Lake was very convenient. The property is also close to all of the attractions at Red River Gorge (Natural Bridge, Jumping Rock, etc...). Highly recommend.

Great place to stay! First time we stayed here and it very clean, easy check in. Lake was clear, great swimming! kids loved it. Fishing was also great, kids caught fish every day.

We came to Kentucky to experience the glass bottom cave tours and to celebrate a couple of birthdays. We wanted something close that two families could stay together. This place was perfect! Love the setup and all the bathrooms were a plus. Very well equipped and homey. Definitely would recommend this beautiful cabin.

Our family enjoyed the fishing and kayaking in the little lake behind the home. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was also a great outdoor eating area.

Great for our annual vacation family gathering. My granddaughters learned to fish and the oldest now says she wants to fish on a more regular basis! The lake is so awesome. I actually swam with the catfish with my mask and snorkel. We made most of our meals on the terrific gas stove! Bonded around the campfire at night! Gazed at the stars and slept so well on the comfy beds. May plan another trip at this wonderful location in the gorge.

Kentucky Straight Wilderness cabin was perfect for a family weekend get away. The cabin was immaculate, and was well-stocked with kitchen supplies to cook as a family. All of the furniture was very comfortable, which allowed us to fully enjoy the inside and outside spaces! For planning purposes: driving down to the lake front is a little challenging - my SUV struggled with the hill. It is VERY easy to do a tiny walk/hike to the water, but not quite doable for those who are very young or older. The waterfront itself is also very deep, and there is no shallow for kids to play in. The little ones still really enjoyed themselves swimming - just don't forget life jackets/noodles (noodles were also at the cabin for guest use!)! We would stay at this property again - you should too!

Great stay at the gorge! Enjoyed the dock and fire pit as well as the spacious seating on the deck! Fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need. Horseback riding and zip lining right down the street!

Very nice cabin. Plenty of room for our eight grandkids and six adults. Best dock on Deer Water Lake to enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking and taking in the scenery. A consensus of opinion by our family is to make a return trip to KSW.
