Great location great staff beautiful view

Our family spent a week at Casa Copacabana. The home is very spacious and has everything you would need. The location is great. Mercedes, the housekeeper, was wonderful. The grounds keeper was great too and very helpful if there was anything we needed. Jimmy furnished the home with food/liquid from a list we provided for him. If there was anything we needed done, he was right there to help. You definitely need to use Yellowfin to schedule any tours/expeditions you want. View their web site to see all that they can help you with. All in all we highly recommend you stay at this home. You won't be disappointed.

Everything was WONDERFUL!!!! We had 9 couples and we all had such a great time!!!! The house was just as described, the beach was even better! Massages right outside your back door! Having the cleaner and chef was totally amazing and worth every penny. The yellow fin concierge service was fantastic! Coordinated everything with ease through them, rides and excursions for 18 people was easy- which I could never imagine saying. We never needed or used a car- just rented golf carts the entire and booked transient through yellow fin and it was all perfect!!! Thanks so much for such a memorable experience!!!!

Our family trip to Costa Rica was an amazing experience. The house was large and comfortable and the pool was perfect for a group of 10 people—adults and children. The staff was so friendly and accommodating also. A special thanks to Dervin for arranging trips and service. He made everything easier for us. We are looking forward to returning.

From the moment we walked in the front door we were in awe. Beautiful, well maintained house in the lovely small town of Portrero. Communicating with Gregg and Ana (the concierge) was super easy. We booked all of our transportation through them and also an amazing fishing excursion on the “Rickdiculous”! We hired the private chef for an out of this world brunch. The house was so close to so many wonderful bars and restaurants. We had.a great time exploring the town of Potrero and walking the beach to check out Playa Flamingo. The kids enjoyed the rented paddle boards from Hemingways and spent hours swimming in the ocean. We also enjoyed a snorkeling catamaran trip and an ATVing tour. The sunsets were like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Thank you for sharing your house with my family! We truly enjoyed our stay!

We, as grandparents, booked Casa Copacabana in Potrero, Costa Rica for our whole family consisting of six grandchildren, ages 17 to 28, two of their friends, and our two adult children for the of week June 24 - July 1. The beautiful 9-bedroom house was well-suited for our group of 13, and its location on the beach close to restaurants and two grocers within easy walking distance was perfect. The lovely landscaping and large pool partially covered by the huge lanai made every day truly Pure Vida! The sunsets are incredible and the beach fairly deep and rather quiet with gentle surf. We had a chef prepare dinner two nights and we ate at several restaurants other nights. The company that manages the house did a superb job on booking several excursions and promptly answered any questions before and during our stay. We highly recommend Casa Copacabana during a visit to the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica!

We had 10 adults and 9 children (ages 3-10) and had the most amazing week at Copa Cabana! The house is HUGE, the pool area is PERFECT, and the entire staff was INCREDIBLE. We never had any concerns regarding security, the beach was beautiful, and the town of Potrero is an absolute GEM. Highly recommend coffee and breakfast at Nita. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Our family loved the property and it’s only a matter of time until we return :)

Great location, great access to the pool and the ocean, great service.

We loved this property and the area. The property was beautiful. We had a very large (6 adults 7 kids) group of 3 families and the layout was perfect for us. Each family had their own floor and own space. The town of Potrero is very cute, safe and walkable from the property. The property owners gave a list of recommended activities and contacts which we also used and loved, ranging from chef service to day tours through Yellowfin. We’d highly recommend those we well. We’d highly recommend this property and we’d book again.

Very spacious, clean, perfect location - more houses around then in pictures. They updated some patio furniture which is nicer then the pictures. Mercedes the house keeper is an awesome person and David the ground keeper is awesome as well - they put the experience over the top. I can’t say enough about how helpful they are. Jose the tour guy we mostly had was awesome - he speaks several languages and made extra stops at great locations to give us the whole Costa Rica experience. Hemingways - the restaurant just 4 properties over is a great restaurant with entertainment nightly

The location is excellent however there were a few deficiencies ie wifi and keys to safe note available for several days and building manager not easily available

This property and everyone involved with the property from the owner to the property manager to the housekeeper and all staff was perfect!! Everyone was very friendly and were responsive to all our needs. Our family had an excellent vacation As a plus, the small town of Playa Portrero gave us a very good Costa Rican experience.

This house is designed for entertainment. It is gorgeous and served our party of 7 couples very well. The pool, backyard, beach view was spectacular. We spent most our time outside or asleep. We enjoyed chef services for breakfast everyday and dinner twice -Amazing. We had couples massages on the master bedroom deck (twice)THE BEST massages and very professional. Everyone we worked with was fantastic and so accommodating- thank you Greg and Mackenzie, Dervin, Jimmy and of course Jessina for helping make this a vacation that won’t be forgotten PURA VIDA!

It was a perfect home for Family trip. 11adults and 6 kids. Had everything you would want, towels, pool toys, lawn toys, etc. The Chef was great. The owner was very accommodating.

My wife and I hosted our wedding at this property. The house was large enough to accommodate our wedding party and a few additional guests for all of our overnight stays. The property itself was perfect for both the ceremony (on the sand) and the reception afterward. Additional guests had hotel access within a 5 minute walk. The accommodating staff were incredibly nice and helpful. There was access to a market, a gym, and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Our wedding was perfect, thanks to this property, the community, and the staff. We couldn’t have been happier.

This was an incredible house! Very clean, well stocked kitchen, lots of bathrooms and bedrooms. Almost like having your own private beach right outside the backyard. Grandsons loved playing in the beach. Thank you Dervin for helping with transportation from the airport and for setting up excursions with transportation. Very responsive team from property manager to staff at the house.

My group had an amazing time! The property was absolutely beautiful, I’d love to go back once the neighboring houses are complete. We loved walking along the beach every morning and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets by the pool at night. Dervin was very responsive and helped arrange excursions, chefs and transportation. Wow, its hard to describe one of the best trips of our lives. From the pre planning with Gregg and Mackinzie all the way to the end, everything was absolutely impeccable. The house is everything and more mentioned in the listing and pictures. Its well suited for multiple families and children etc, we had four families with six children. We never felt crammed and everyone had adequate space. The outdoor living area is perfect, with sun and shade at perfect times. Next, the staff at this home is so gracious and accommodating. From Jimmy and Dervin ensuring our pre stay and activities and transportation were planned effectively, to Mercedes (housekeeper) and pool/security team. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more. We recommend renting golf carts to explore the area. Jennifer and Chip from rent a golf cart were amazing to work with. This area is a gem, just don't tell your friends as we want to keep coming back! Thanks team Copacabana, you are the best! Steve

Such an amazing week at this gorgeous property. Pool and beach all in one location! What could be better? Rooms were comfortable with plenty of bathrooms for all. Housekeeper was fantastic! Would recommend booking the chef for a few nights. His food was phenomenal! Dervin and his tours were also excellent! Only complaint is that I wish they accepted cards. Anything with Dervin requires cash. Is that even a complaint?! Fantastic stay. Will come back!

We were a group of 11 adults who have been friends since college . . . many years ago. Following a seamless rental process, we arranged van transportation from the airport, and during the course of our 10 day stay, through the owner’s recommended service. In fact, we did not rent a car or golf cart, instead choosing to walk and, only when longer distances required it, use the recommended transportation service. There is a small grocery store and multiple casual restaurants within a 10 minute walk. While we expected to use the kitchen, we dined out 90% of the time. The house is well maintained on a wide beach and long walks are a pleasure. We did a river tour and a fishing trip. The housekeeping staff, concierge service and security were excellent. Any concern was immediately addressed. The website images are an accurate depiction of the property. The area is very casual and a great site for a relaxed vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place was huge, we easily fit 4 families without even using all of the 9 bedrooms. The pool was great, and being right on the beach made everything very easy for us. The location is also very convenient to a beachfront bar/restaurant plus sailing/dive shop, which was perfect for our large group and made it easy to avoid having to get a car. There are also several non-beach restaurants and markets within easy walking distance for supplies.

Our family group of 12 had a wonderful 9-night stay. The house was very comfortable, beautifully maintained, well air-conditioned, and fully stocked. The grounds were lovely, as was the pool. We spent most of our time together on the back patio, which is well ventilated with ceiling fans. The kitchen was great. It had plenty of everything you could need. With a large group, we also appreciated the extra beverage fridge for storing our sodas and beer. The staff was excellent: Mercedes the housekeeper kept us neat as a pin, and with plenty of beach towels, the groundskeeper/pool maintainer was on top of the yard, Jimmy managed our shopping and hired us a fantastic private chef (Miguel and Anna), and Dervin was very responsive when we contacted him. I would not hesitate to recommend Casa Copacabana to anyone looking for a deluxe home to rent in Playa Potrero.

From the moment we arrived to our (sad) return to Liberia Airport, this vacation was Pura Vida! Greg Pappas and team have thought of everything to provide for a family vacation to remember. Villa Copacabana was perfect space and accommodation for our family of 14 (from 15 to 80 years in age) to truly relax, enjoy meals and hangout time, feel safe and a provide for a great Basecamp for ocean swims, our local walks to restaurants and excursions - amazing views and location, luxurious bedrooms, cooling pool that is half covered/half open to the sun, ample sitting areas to watch sunrises and sunsets, chef’s kitchen with commercial appliances and endless dishes/glasses, etc. From the initial booking, Greg was highly communicative and responsive, ensuring we had a wonderful experience. His home is clearly outfitted by someone who knows what’s important to a vacationing family or group. Jimmy Aleman’s property management is top notch. Alexandra coordinated the necessary COVID testing (in home on Christmas day!) for our return to the US. Jimmy ensured we had groceries in the home when we arrived - and got them there despite having car trouble (thank you!!). We used Dervan’s expert transportation services and excursions - our drivers were always timely, safe, courteous and smiling. Some in our group had excellent in-home massages. Our group rated the fishing as “best ever” (great teaching guides and brought back too many fish filets to eat) and canopy tour as excellent fun for all. We devoured Chefs Miguel and Anna’s beautiful and flavorful family dinners, and really appreciated seeing Mercedes and David’s each day - a true luxury to have daily housekeeping and home maintenance by such lovely and hardworking people! I’m sure I’ve left out thanking someone by name but extend our sincere appreciation to the incredible local team who made our vacation one to remember forever! A couple considerations if considering Playa Potrero: cash is important- bring ample US dollars (ATMs don’t always have cash to dispense). Restaurants and grocery take credit/debit cards, but you will want cash for transportation, services, and tipping service providers. Also recommend venturing out for meals - while we enjoyed the convenience and great service at the neighboring restaurants, we had the best food at a fraction of the cost by eating a few meals off the (walkable) beaten path. And finally, download the “WhatsApp” for all communication!!

This was our first time traveling all together, 14 adults and 7 children under 11yo including a 1yo and 4 month old and this house was absolute perfection!! Everyone was so accommodating including the owner Gregg who had portable cribs delivered for both babies! We did 3 excursions with Dervin (yellowfin tours) and each one was so special. The private chef and the maid were so wonderful and I highly recommended the golf cart rental from Chip and Jennifer! If you’re considering this house for your family vacation to Costa Rica don’t hesitate the property and team are perfection. My husband I were recently married at a resort Tamarindo, and we decided to stay at Casa Copacabana for a week afterwards with our families. We could not have asked for a better experience. The beach and sunsets here are breathtaking and the house is walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shops, etc. The concierge was extremely helpful, and we cannot recommend scheduling a massage while you are here enough! There were 17 of us and each couple had their own room and not once did we ever feel crowded. Only 2 rooms share a Juliet bathroom, but the rest have their own. There are plenty of different gathering spaces and the pool is the best part! Swim up bar is so fun, and even when it rained we could still swim because its partially covered. After a day of excursions, booking the chef to come and prepare dinner what exactly what we needed and the food was fantastic. Overall, we 100% would recommend Casa Copacabana to anyone with a large group looking for an unforgettable experience. We would definitely book again! The only minor downside (and it's not even about the house itself) was that there is construction going on right next door and they began work at 7AM on the dot every day so we ended up having early wake up calls, but obviously that won't be a factor forever.

Our stay was amazing! Words cannot describe the memories we made in this lovely home. We had a group of 19 and it was a perfect fit. The pictures don't do the views justice. Everything we need was available or a short walk or 5 min. drive away. Greg was extremely helpful from the beginning and Dervin and Mercedes was THE BEST! Made our stay so comfortable and easy. I can go on and on about our stay, but I just know that I will be there again very soon!!!! Thanks again Greg, for a rememberable experience. I had a group of 18 family and friends join me for my 50th birthday celebration. We couldn't have chosen a better location. Beautiful home, pool, sunsets, perfectly located to dining and adventures. Greg was extremely helpful and prompt in answering any and all questions prior to our stay. I would highly recommend Casa Copacabana! I know we will be returning... Pura Vida!!

House is close to several Beaches and walking distance to restaurants and a coffee shop. Great location.

A group of 18 people and I stayed for Memorial Day weekend and we couldn’t have chosen a better Villa! The Villa comes with a very friendly cleaning service, security guard, and amazing restaurants all walking distance. The rooms all had working AC, access to hot showers, kept very clean, and the kitchen came fully stocked! We loved everything about this place and I would highly recommend staying here for large groups! ¡Pura Vida!

Words can’t capture how wonderful and perfect our stay was here. The communication from the owner and his entire team was amazing from day one. We arranged our wedding here along with 15 of our closest friends and the house accommodated all of us perfectly. Everyone had their own beautiful, private bedroom and bathroom, the newly added bedrooms on the 3rd floor offered amazing ocean views while the bedrooms on the second floor all had their own outdoor space including lots of seating and bar tops. Hands down the staff here, Dervin, Mercedes, Jimmy, Alvaro, Antonio and many more behind the scenes, were all 5-star people and helped our group every step of the way. We can’t thank them enough for making this feel like our home away from home. Enjoy the benefits of living like a local with easy access to the market, awesome local eateries, and THE BEST SUNSET VIEWS IN COSTA RICA. I may be over stating this but the westward facing location and unobstructed views made it an absolute must do every evening. Walks on the beach, warm waters and a bar whenever you need it makes this place hard to beat and we absolutely will be booking this place again in the future. Highly recommended for any occasion. It made our first trip to Costa Rica an unforgettable adventure. Thank you Casa Copacabana!!

The house was roomy and comfortable which was perfect for multiple families. The bedrooms lead to a large kitchen and a big backyard with a awsome pool and patio which is just footsteps from the beach. Great sunset from the yard and perfect for viewing during happy hour. Rooms were big and beds were very comfy everything was well maintained and clean. Located walking distance to restaurants and little bars. The market is walking distance for last minute shopping, locals were also nice and the staff at the house was very friendly and helpful.We defiantly plan to vacation there again!
