The water is horrendous, been lucky to travel a lot and the sulfur smell of the house water in the shower made us all sick. I sent an emails to the property owner but no response. Stay is beautiful but do not turn on the water

Howard house is a perfect home from home in Bailey’s Harbor, Door County. Everything in the northern peninsula is within a 20 minute drive. The house is recently renovated, and very clean with all the amenities needed for a pleasant vacation, including tv and fast internet. There was plenty of room for the two of us, and a larger group would also be comfortable. Everything we needed for meal prep and cleanup was there in the beautiful kitchen/dining space, and the laundry facilities are excellent and very quick and easy to use for washing and drying clothes mid vacation. Check in was very easy, and the owners gave us all the information we needed when we needed it. Full marks to the owners for providing a wonderful experience.

Will definitely stay here again. Beds and pillows very comfortable! Clean. Easy to get into. Everything was well labeled. We went to Door County Brewing Company close by and played trivia first night(won a gift certificate)and listened to live music second night(free round from owner). Backyard of house nice also.

Enjoyed our stay. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. Great location in town close to all the stores, restaurants and lake. The owners were very good and maintaining contact. I would stay there again.

This house was perfect as a base of operations for a weekend in Door County. With great food, a winery, and Door County Brewing in walking distance we did not feel like we had to drive all over the peninsula in order to have a great experience. The house was well equipped and very comfortable for 2 couples.

I can’t say enough good things about this property! Spotlessly clean, upscale furnishings and appliances, obvious attention and thought toward quality, even the little things like labeling and small containers of baking soda and baking powder, in addition to flour and sugar - everything you need or want in a vacation home. Would most definitely stay here again!

My new husband and I loved our stay at the Howard House! It was clean and the pictures were an accurate representation of the place. Close to Main Street and we were able to walk to a lot of places.

Loved the cottage feel of the house. Perfect spot on the quiet side of the door!!! Enjoyed the local brewery (walkable) and hiking at the ridgeway reserve (great place).

Perfect place for a getaway. Great location. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. The owners responded to our questions in a timely manner and made it so easy to check in and out. We were very pleased with our experience. I’m sure we’ll be back.

House is centrally located in Door County and is within walking distance of everywhere in downtown Bailey’s Harbor. House was clean and well equipped. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice, cute home, close to places to eat and things to do! Home was very clean & tidy...we hated to go home at the end of our stay, it was nice sitting on the front porch in the morning for coffee & watching the birds & squirrels. So quiet! Beautiful little town of Baileys Harbor.

My wife, 6mo, and I spent 4 nights at Howard House in mid November. It was the perfect place for us in a great location. The entire house is clean, well organized, and setup to cool your own meals if you choose. It’s also close to just about any part of Door Cty you want to visit.
We plan to come back to Door Cty next summer with our other kids and hope to stay at Howard House again.

Brought our good friends from Vermont for their first visit to Door County and could not have been better. The house was clean, modern decor but with Door County charm, within walking distance of eateries, and a convenient drive to the many sights we took them to see.

Check in was a breeze! We utilized ALL the beds; sheets were heavenly, beds were just the right softness/firmness, and the kitchen was well-appointed (including flour, sugar, baking soda/powder!). The husband appreciated the AC and fan, because apparently he was an arctic creature in a previous life and can only sleep when everyone else is dying of hypothermia. The house does run on well water, but there is a drinking water tap that tastes perfect (and my family is rife with opinionated water snobs). Wifi worked great. Location was awesome, in terms of walking across the street for coffee/food/beer, and bailey's harbor is about a 10-15 minute drive to all the neighboring villages. Would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Retreat
The house was clean, bright and decorated with simple but calming style. We enjoyed every moment in the house. It was also so well situated with Door County Brewing a 2 minute walk away. We loved it and will come again.

We loved our snowy spring hideaway in door county, and because of the weather and the time of year, we were able to maximize the perks of our lodging. It was a simple, cozy, setting that had all the features we could use/want for our family time together. Very friendly town!
