The location of the house on the island was great and being right one the beach was very nice. We liked that it had the king sized beds and plenty of bathrooms. Large kitchen.

We absolutely loved our stay The home was clean and homey! We will be back for a much longer stay! ❤️

The location was phenomenal, right on the water and extremely private. The house wasn’t in the best shape - floors were wavy, three of us got splinters from the top deck but livable. My biggest concern was cleanliness. The floors were dirty, one of the couches looked like it had a urine stain, just not what we expected for the price we paid. Great location though, couldn’t ask for a better area for a family.

This could be an excellent house with just a little love. Pros: Kitchen is nice and well stocked Deck and view fantastic. Extra props for the nice deck furniture. Best I've seen at most rentals I've used Location is great Cons: Water pressure is really bad Needs a DEEP cleaning. Not the type the cleaning crew does between renters, but a all day clean. Interior doors are disgusting. Dust covering whole wood ceiling in bedroom. Had to vacuum just so I could sleep in there. Sheets in 2 rooms fine. Room with wood ceiling was fitted sheet on top of a plastic water proof mattress pad. Sheet didn't fit bed. 2 bathrooms need work. One in pink room had mold behind toilet, and shower head wasn't tall enough for an adult to use Needs new couches. They're dirty and broke down from use. Don't bother cleaning them. Waste of money My visit was in cooler months, but I can tell the A/C set up will be a problem in the summer. Does not have central air. It has one mini split and several window units. Won't cut it in July The floors do slope, but not an issue for me. Tons of houses in downtown Charleston have this. It's a Charleston thing. I gave it 4 stars as I would stay here again if some updates were made. The owner needs to put some profits back into this place and they would have a real gem. As it currently stands. Not worth the high weekly rent for me. I should add Vacasa was great. it's not their job to make these kind of changes, it's the owners responsibility

The description was right on. The inside of the house is worn but very comfortable. The house provided everything we needed. The outdoor area was great plenty of seating and large deck. You can hear the ocean even inside.We had 6 adults and 2 children with plenty of space.We all said we would stay there again. Hour was very clean.

We liked the idea that this rental home was on the beach and allowed dogs, as we often travel with our 8 lb maltese. The location of Just Beachy is great, and the deck on the house with chairs is terrific, but the house makes it seem that they are making only minor repairs to keep it renting. Here are some of the issues: the "bedroom" where the twin beds are housed is VERY small (maybe 5' x 6') and seems to have been a foyer that has been walled off to make a bedroom. When in use this blocks the front door entrance, unless you want to disturb the person(s) sleeping there or using that room. the TV in one of the master bedrooms never worked. 2 repair people from Vacasa were sent out, and each said the signal from the Comcast modem was too low for it to work in that room. There are a few places in the hardwood floors that need repairs from what looks like termite damage that spans at least a foot long. 2 toilet paper holders and one robe hook were found broken when we arrived. The sliding glass door which is the main entrance and exit since the front door is in a bedroom, is quite hard to operate. Not sure if oil and just general maintenance is needed, but a good amount of strength is needed to open/close it. The blinds over the sliding glass door are missing several slats, making me wonder if we were truly able to abide by the "no outdoor lights after 9pm, if we were using the kitchen, dining area, etc, and had lights on. There was no way to stop the light from being seen from the beach. The airflow for A/C has possibly been addressed (as I read many mentions of it in reviews before we stayed there), but we found that all of the bedrooms were hot or stuffy at night if we closed our doors to go to bed. The game room/basement was extremely musty and not a desirable place to hang out. Dim lighting didn't add to the ambience. and the Christmas tree in the corner just made it feel a little creepy. The garbage disposal on one of the sinks didn't work, but the other seemed good. The kitchen overall was in good condition and worked well for our needs. My mother in law mentioned several times that this was a party house. That may be true and if I were in college travelling with friends to go drink at the beach, maybe it would have been fine, but for us, it was just kind of "beat".

We loved the location the privacy and that they allowed our big dogs wich not many places do! The house big just like it showed on the pictures the deck was amazing perfect in the morning for brackfast and our pups got to be outside a good bit...the kitchen had everything we needed! Bedrooms was clean and yes the house is old it's not a top notch but it was perfect for us and our furr babies...

The best week of my life! The house has tons of room and was clean. After reading other reviews I was quiet nervous about having my wedding week at this house. It is an older and weathered house, quirky for sure (which tends to fit our group)! Definitely glad it was a cool week as the ac is not up to par. We were able to leave the air off and open doors and windows. The extra refrigerator and futon in the basement is definitely a plus. The decks were huge and came in very useful and the view is WONDERFUL! Take toilet paper and paper towels as there were not enough for the number of guests the house holds. The two twin beds were apparently pretty uncomfortable but the couches pull out and friends were able to sleep there instead. Probably a bit much price wise but only because it’s an older dated home that could use some TLC. I’d do it all over again next week if I could!

The location is wonderful but the house and deck definitely need some work. Seems like no one is really taking care of this property. Only doing the bare minimum to get by. Definitely have stayed in better kept places.

Home was very comfortable with plenty of room and everything we needed for a great time together.

This place was absolutely perfect! Everything you could ever need! And the views off the deck are indescribable! Can’t wait to go back already!

The property was very clean, the bed very comfortable and hot water in the showers. We had two plumbing issues that existed prior to our arrival that had to be addressed while we were there which was a hassle and disappointing. The property seems as if it was meshed together over the years and the floors are uneven and many of the doors don't close. The basement/dungeon is not really usable in my opinion. This place seemed more about sleeping as many folks as possible than having a nice property.

All went very well until we were there and saw what we were getting for our money. The property needs much work to bring it up to the value and safety of the cost of rental.

Although the location, being on a private beach was amazing, the house could use some work. We came in contact with evidence of rats(feces) and a couple of water bugs. Downstairs definitely needs fixing up because: insulation and leaking pipes are shown. That might be the cause of the rodent and water bug situation. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves.

I imagine if we had teenagers, that is where they would be! The views are amazing and the beachfront access is perfect. Yes, the home could use some updates, especially in two of the bathrooms, but everything is clean. The furniture is a bit worn, but since we travel with our dogs, we prefer to stay in places that are more lived in than pristine. So it was perfect for us. One addition that would be nice would be to create some shade on the deck - maybe an umbrella or awning. The deck is large and offers fantastic views, but since there is no shade I wasn't using the deck as often as I would have. The Vacasa team is AMAZING. They are incredibly responsive. I texted an issue to them and they had it resolved for us within a couple of hours of receiving my text. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Just Beachy! The home is in a great location and is well supplied with everything you will need. We felt the house matched the description perfectly and was clean for us to arrive. The property manager did a great job in making sure our stay met expectations. We would definitely stay at Just Beachy again.

The online pictures do not accurately tell the whole story on this house. The beach front view and access is great, but the house is old and needs work. The AC is not adequate to cool the space and the window units don't do much to help. The temperature remained between 77 and 79 the whole week. The front bedroom with 2 twin beds is really the entrance foyer at the front door. The kitchen is the only room renovated, but lacked some amenities. No wine glasses, only 2 coffee mugs (we bought more), only a blender bottom without a pitcher. House had MICE. Called maintenance to set traps, but they didn't catch any. Bathroon fixtures need updates. Called maintenance to repair one fixture and glass shower door. Called maintenance to repair one garbage disposal. Reported to management that game room items are unusable. Watch out for the owners who stayed here before our week and pulled up rugs and tore out the garage door and left the trash piled up outside the house. Owners also overstayed into our first day check-in and we had to be temporarily relocated to a different property for the first day that was not beach front. The water pressure in Just Beachy is not good, but there was plenty of hot water for six people all week. We will not rent Just Beachy again and do not recommend it unless it gets some major upgrades.

We were in town to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. It was also the first time in over a year that grandparents could be inside with us. House is as described (in overview and reviews). Location is fab, on the beach with a lovely wide deck (with loungers) etc. could do with an umbrella for shade on deck. The sliding door is a huge issue - really stiff and the handles are on the verge of collapse- needs tlc before summer season and a screen door. House is comfortable and spacious but definitely needs updating and a review of utensils. You get what you pay for as it was decent value for our stay. And the marvelous views. Loved that you could bring dogs - we brought covers for the furniture in case, so I’d recommend supplying those. Would also recommend a gate at the top of the stairs to deck as dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10am-6pm in season. All in all a great spot to base ourselves for our daughter’s graduation from College of Charleston! Extra shout out to Mother Nature for providing us with a week of glorious weather.
