It is a wonderful place! Plenty of space with everything you need to have a fantastic time. The house is far enough away from the main streets so you do not hear all the noise, but is close enough to walk to anything Folly Beach has to offer!

We really enjoyed the property! Would stay again for sure. Short walk to the beach and close to downtown. Quick drive to Charleston as well. Bring bug spray if you visit in the summer. The kitchen was also limited on tupperware/storage items.

Awesome house! Second time staying here!

Loved the cleanliness of the house. Amenities were ample. Backyard was good for family gatherings including fire pit and wood. Kitchen was great for family dinners.

Home was well maintained and clean. Bedding and towels were in new condition, not dingy or threadbare. Plenty of plates, glasses, mugs and tableware. Location was a five minute walk to the beach or Center St. nice quiet location. Beautiful house. Would rent again.

We had some items left behind- should have been a minor problem but after many attempts we never received them back. It didn’t seem like anyone knew what they were doing…..

We loved the sun room off the kitchen. This became the family “gathering” place. Loved the spacious bedrooms and dining table that fit the whole family. Loved the quick responsiveness when we had to reach out to vacasa. Loved the non commercialized folly beach. We hope to return! Bryan and Dee

Beautiful home...perfect for a family. Great location for walking to town or beach. Would recommend this house to anyone and would not hesitate to book again!

We had a great time at the house

Other than havng to replace some light bulbs and getting up at midnight to find a battery for squealing smoke detector it was wonderful. The beach cart needs attention as one wheel is bad. Just a few maintenance items would have made it wonderful all the way around.

House is extremely clean. Kitchen is well equipped and nice pack yard. Nearby path/ short cut to the beach was key. Having beach chairs and wagon at the house was a nice surprise. Thank you! Love the bathrooms - updated and nicely decorated. Didn't need them as the weather was sunny, but house has nice assortment of board games.

Beautiful backyard...where we mostly stayed when we were home...walking distance to all restaurants and beaches! Second time staying there...looking forward to a third!! Very Clean!!

The house was beautiful. On a quiet street. A short drive to the beach, but too far of a walk with a 3 year old. The parking is only 10 dollars for the day. The setup inside and out was perfect. Kid-friendly house, the area with the daybed on the main floor was perfect for her to hang out and watch t.v, play and color. The main living room right across the way was perfect for the adults to chill and not watch cartoons. Lol. The back covered porch was too hot and humid to hang out in intially, but plenty of windows fixed that but! The upstairs screened in porch was the perfect place, even mid-afternoon. The house was stocked with clean linens, plenty of towels for showering, cooking supplies, cups, plates, utensils. 2 hairdryers, those hotel like shampoos and conditioners and soap.. There is also a ton of different games, a hammock,a beautiful fire pit in the backyard. Even a corn hole set. Overall it was a great vacation spot, fairly easily accessible for all generations, plenty of room to hang out or have a quiet moment to yourself, not far from the beach or from the main strip, and generally just a great place to take the family!

Stay here! So nice! The whole family loved it!

Wonderful layout! Loved the three different porch areas: one open, one screened-in, one glassed-in. Back yard had trees on three sides, so perfect amount/combo of sun and shade. Ceiling fans everywhere they should be AND the A/C worked beautifully. The house was well-stacked with cleaning supplies and laundry/dishwasher detergent. Walking distance to the beach and to downtown. Only two things prevented me from giving a 5-star rating: when we were there, the dryer took a long time to dry because the area beneath the lint trap had lots of sand and dust in it, and the front left wheel mechanism in the dishwasher was broken, making the bottom rack unstable. I reported both, the Vacasa team texted me immediately, and I suspect things will be fixed when my family returns next year. We can't wait to go back!

Everything was in order and the house and property were nice and clean. Customer service was friendly and acted quickly when we had an issue with the hot water. They had service people out the next day and got the issue resolved in a timely matter. Had a great time and enjoyed the property and house.

The house was great for us. It was a quick weekend getaway.

Super clean and convenient to all Folly has to offer. The beds were comfortable and everything you could need in the kitchen (appliances and utensils) was provided. The screened in porches were great also bc there were some mosquitoes floating around. Only negatives are the dryer needs to be replaced as it took hours to dry clothing and not much beach gear or beach towels provided. Not really a negative but we would have brought ours since we drove. Otherwise, we would def come back. Also Vacasa was terrific at responding and made it easy to communicate w them via text.

Great property and location.

We loved our stay at anchors away so much we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. So much space for my family of 4 (incl a 1 and 3 yo), loved the screened in porches, backyard and quiet street. It was a little far for us to walk to the beach, but parking was super easy (weekdays) so not an issue at all.

Beautiful home, very spacious, well stocked, very clean. Enjoyed our trip so much, and will definitely be renting this house again on our next trip!

Let me start with all the things we loved - Location - very close to the main strip and beach, we never had to worry about driving in to town Lights and security - While the property is on a poorly lit street, they have automatic lights that turn on after dusk and were super helpful. Digital lock on the door is great! Unfortunately, if you want to park in the garage, you have to enter the house first and open it from the inside, not convenient but we did not feel the need to park inside. House - Place is large enough for a big group, generally well maintained and they took care of small details like leaving us a new dish sponge, detergent etc that was mindful given the COVID times Things I did not appreciate: 1. While the listing is on VRBO, it is managed by a group called Vacasa. They are unresponsive on VRBO and will force you to download their app to have other communication. 2. While the place is listed at lower rates than other homes, they charge you almost the same as much in fees. While I understood it, it can be misleading to others. 3. We flew in from out of state and asked multiple times about early check in on VRBO with no response. We filled our time after landing doing other things but still reached there 45 mins before their super late 4pm check in time and called the management company to ask if they could let us in early, as I stand outside the door, the property manager LIED to me saying the property was not "ready" yet. Please clarify your inflexible check in policy in the listing and make yourselves available to people who make reservations. 4. Our last day at the property, I noticed the kitchen faucet has about half an inch of mold on it!! We had using water out of that faucet this whole time!! The shower in the master bath also has some mold but not as bad as the kitchen faucet.

Home is very clean, close to restaurants and beach. Would stay here again!

This house was amazing and so much better than the pictures looked online. It was very spacious and clean. The walk to the beach was super easy and the house was stocked with everything you would need.

Quiet location, quick walk to the beach. Spacious home, great outdoor shower in the back helped wash sand off after a trip to the beach. Close to all the restaurants on the main drag. We would definitely return!

Very clean and well maintained, comfortable house.

Anchors Away is a great property. Loved the screened in back deck, it felt like we were in a treehouse with the vegetation around. Lots of space for our group of 8 to be separate, and yet when we were all together we did not feel like we were on top of each other. Well equipped kitchen. Loved the games that were available. The walk to the beach was just the right distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall good vacation. Good location.

The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are a great size. It's on a dead end street so our kids could ride their bikes on the street with very little worry about cars. The daybed downstairs is not in a room, so don't count on it as an extra private sleeping area. Its comfy, though.
