Great location and a cool vibe as an old school that was repurposed into a hotel. Perfect for starting and ending day trips to different areas around Kyoto. I definitely plan on going back next time I’m in Kyoto. They also had a special geisha event for residents which made it even more memorable. Definitely wish I took more advantage of the 3rd floor patio area, fire pit, and drinks.

电视挂在窗旁边的墙上 左右两边都露出在外TV的尖角 面前就是沙发 坐在沙发上穿鞋然后突然站起来头就撞到了电视的尖角 头肿了个大包 跟酒店前台服务反应 想要一冰袋时 最震惊我的是 当我们说出“That‘s so danger”时 服务人员回答“oh！Realy？” 没有任何补偿措施

Fantastic location and wonderful facilities in the hotel. Lounge with free sodas, tea, coffee and wine. Fire pit with roasting marshmallows. Gym. Free cultural performances. Wonderful lobby with amazing views of Kyoto.

Fantastic location, large comfortable rooms with a view ( based on premium room at the front of the hotel) we loved the downstairs bar , fireplace in the courtyard and complimentary wine and snacks

Very friendly staff, spacious rooms, and comfortable pillows and mattress.

Our second time here and back with our extended family. Lovely breakfast at level 8, kids enjoyed themselves with the marshmallows at the bonfire area and a very comfortable stay in our rooms.
Great choice of shops near the hotel entrance and we enjoyed our daily coffee fix at blue bottle. Thank you for a wonderful time once again!

繁華街の真ん中の割に、静かにゆっくりと過ごす事ができた。
３階のラウンジサービスは、内容、雰囲気ともにとても良いよいと思う。
朝食は全般的にとても美味しくいただきましたが、ヨーグルトの果物が少し残念だった。バナナがすでに黒い斑点が出ていたのもばかりで、梨の色が茶色に変わりかけていて水っぽかった。
シャンプーとリンスがあまり高品質な感じがせず、洗った後の髪がパサついた感じがした。

La vue depuis le lobby au 8e est très belle.
Chambre très agréable, tout à été bien conçu. Literie incroyable ! Salle de bain superbe. Amenities de qualité.
Petit spectacle de Noh très intéressant.
Vraiment un super séjour dans cet hôtel !
J’ai été très étonnée que la personne de la réception refuse (très gentiment) de faire une réservation dans un restaurant pour moi par téléphone (seul moyen) car c’était le jour de mon départ et que je n’étais plus tu est de l’hôtel à partir de 11h. Sans doute une mauvaise compréhension…

Great location near river, Gion district, Pontocho and markets. Very stylish bar overlooking city. Nao was a fabulous staff member. Such a warm and friendly staff member who made us feel very welcome.

Location is amazing - close to everything. Room is well-apportioned and spotlessly clean and the bluebottle shop within the hotel complex is a plus.
They forced us to check out on the dot and had staff watching us pack at one point even though we checked out only 30 mins later than the scheduled time. That made us feel rather uncomfortable and disrespected, but I guess all Japanese chain hotels insist on checking out promptly and would not entertain any request for late checkout..

Location, location, location. This place is in the middle of everything, across from pontocho alley and 10 min by foot would get you pretty much everywhere. The room was larger than most rooms in Japan and the fire pit with marshmallows a nice touch, free drinks as well at the lounge area.
The only let down was the buffet breakfast which was tiny. The eggs Benedict and Japanese breakfast were nice but as for the buffet it was just ok.
