We have loved our 3 night stay in Simon’s flat. Comfy (very warm being in the roof!) and characterful with everything we needed. Treated ourselves to a meal at Appleton’s over the road but cooked in the other two nights (buying local goodies from the town) No view, but watched the rooftops for the baby seagulls being fed in their nest and taking their first steps. Good mooch around Fowey, hired a boat for an hour, and took the ferry over the other side of the harbour and back after a great walk with views. Day trips to the enormous Lost Hardens of Heligan and the interesting Charlestown. So pleased we came - but don’t think we will miss the early morning wake-up calls from the seagulls!!!

Spent three nights at the beautiful Salt Loft in Fowey. Everything about our stay here was fabulous and would highly recommend it. The accommodation itself is beautifully decorated with high quality fittings and furnishings. Everything has been well thought out to make your stay here extremely comfortable. Easy to load and unload your cases etc outside which was a pleasant surprise having seen what the traffic can be like in Fowey!! Have a look on Google maps before you go, makes it nice and easy to find when you arrive. Communication was excellent and we would definitely look at staying here again if we ever go back to Fowey. We really enjoyed our stay at the salt loft. Excellent facilities and in the centre of everything this was a great place to stay. Simon responded really quickly ahead of arrival regarding the code and final specifics which was great.

Great little place to stay right in the heart of Fowey. High quality fittings and furnishings throughout the property with all mod cons. Very nice touches with welcome gifts, Cornish fudge, a bottle of Prosecco with coffee and milk stocked in the fridge. Really nice place to stay. Downside would be the lack or proximity of parking and those pesky church bells chiming throughout the night. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay in the future.

Absolutely lovely loft apartment decorated beautifully and to highest standard. Lots of lovely nautical memorabilia around and felt so cosy. Everything you could want or need is provided and all fixtures and fittings and equipment are of top quality. We had a couple of minor issues whilst there which I messaged Simon about and he responded straight away and sorted them out for us. We had a little bit of trouble locating it although once you know where it is it’s so easy and very central to all of Foweys facilities. The only thing we missed was some outside space but we were out and about most of the time anyway so it wasn’t a major issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this little haven.

The address of the property given bore no resemblance to the actual address and we were given the wrong key code as entry. Fortunately the property owner was easy to get hold of and was very helpful. The property itself is fantastic.

A wonderful boutique apartment, centrally located to enjoy everything Fowey has to offer. It was very wet and windy during our stay, The Salt Loft was an ideal place to relax as it’s located in the heart of Fowey we could explore easily in between the rain ☔️. Communication from booking and throughout our stay was seamless and Simon responded quickly to any enquiries. A must stay if you are visiting Fowey, we will most definitely be staying in The Salt Loft on our next visit to Fowey.

Communication from booking to arrival was excellent. The salt loft perfectly located. We stay in Fowey every new year and this was the most comfortable stay we have experienced. The welcome hamper was a perfect touch. Robes provided which we thought was a great idea. Bed very comfortable , beautiful linen. Lounge very comfy and the tv’s excellent. Having the use of a washer was ideal. Wifi very good. All utensils we needed in the kitchen area. Very clean and tastefully furnished. We will definitely book again. Ate at the ship, king if prussia and haveners all of which served excelkent food and the staff were lovely. Thankyou for a perfect stay Highly recommended

My Husband and I stayed at the salt loft for a minimoon having married the previous weekend. The location is ideal for exploring Fowey, right in the centre of town. The property itself is very well decorated and comfortable and the coffee machine was a bonus, the bed is also very comfortable. The check in process was smooth as the keys are picked up from a key box and we parked the car close by in Caffa Mill car park (that is the closest one although the instructions say it is Main car park) However, there are a number of things that were not ideal at all. The bedroom is a lot smaller than I had anticipated so we had to keep our luggage in the lounge and hair drying had to be done in the hallway by the door where a plug is located near a mirror. The shower isn’t very powerful and isn’t tall enough to get under without crouching, fine for me but for hubby it was quite annoying. The main issue with the salt loft is that there are no blinds on the sky lights in the bedroom (I have sky lights at in my bedroom at home with blinds). The house instructions said there was a roll of magic blackout blind that can be put up however you then have the choice of either doing DIY every night before you go to sleep or keeping the room in darkness for the entire stay, quite the annoyance whilst on holiday and after the second night of fiddling with putting it up we ended up choosing the latter so we didn’t have to do it every night before bed. We had a great stay in Fowey, the location is perfect and the town itself is beautiful but I’d probably stay elsewhere next time just because of the lack of blinds on the sky lights in the bedroom.

We booked the Salt Loft based on the photographs and description and it lived up to all our expectations. Situated in the heart of Fowey it was an ideal location to explore the town and it’s surroundings and the apartment itself was decorated and furnished to the highest standard. As a bonus we had booked it during the Fowey Regatta week (completely unintentionally) so there were loads of events and activities laid on - a real cherry on the cake!

Wouldn't hesitate to book this again!

The apartment is down a short and scruffy alley but once inside it is very stylish and furnished to a high standard. Located in the centre of Fowey the noise does not come from the bars and pubs but the nesting gulls on the adjacent property. Fowey itself was a little disappointing - do your research to see if its what you want for a holiday location.

We had a brilliant time at the Salt Loft. The flat is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The location is perfect for exploring Fowey, but you do need to be aware that it is a one way very narrow road to reach the unloading bay or a 15 minute walk to the Main carpark. Sams a few doors down is great for food, but be prepared to wait for a table on busy weekends, but it is worth it. We had a brilliant minimoon in Fowey - thanks to the Salt Loft team!

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at The Salt Loft and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The apartment is very homely and beautifully decorated - I looked forward to returning back to it to spend the evenings there! The kitchen is very well-equipped and I loved the attention to detail with bottle of wine and chocolates left by the owner. If you are looking for a home-from-home stay in the heart of Fowey this place is perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment to friends or family and hope to return one day myself!

Fowey was an amazing place to spend a week in Cornwall. The weather was perfect and the apartment was beautiful. It was in an ideal location and so beautifully presented .... it was a treat to return to each evening. Corwnwall is such a breathtakingly beautiful part of the country that when you have the weather there is no place better...... fantastic!!!

The Salt Loft is a beautiful, well maintained, clean and comfortable. It is in a great location in the centre of Fowey, with excellent access to 3 bakeries, we very much enjoyed croissants in the morning ! We were out and about most days visiting the various gardens in the area all of which were in very easy reach, the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Pine Lodge Gardens, Marsh Villa Gardens and the Hidden Valley Gardens. We found that parking in the Caffa Mill car park was the best as it is a very steep walk up to the main car park if you are regularly going in and out a lot. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others looking for a similar type of experience.

Property had everything we needed but would be improved by the addition of a cafetiere

For such a small apartment it feels huge for two. We arrived after a long drive and while in Fowey spent our time wearing ourselves out on the coastal paths and visiting the Eden project so it was lovely to have such a comfortable place to stay. The salt loft was big enough not to be in each other's way and small enough to feel really cosy. For tired limbs it was great to have so many pubs and restaurants just a few steps away and to start the next day, freshly baked goodies would be in the shop when the kettle went on and on our plates before it had boiled. For coming and going we found the caffa mill car park to be the easiest trading a longer walk for a steeper climb. All in all very pleased with the whole experience and credit to the staff at Fowey homes for their caring approach.

The salt loft is amazing it's everything it says it is and more. It's tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. Loved it here.

The description of the Salt Loft was exactly as described, as were the arrival arrangements for unloading in a very narrow one way street. Prior to our arrival, the communication and Q&A with the owners was exemplary. Our impression was that they really couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. They succeeded. The property was clean, bright and modern and a mid-stay clean (bedding, towels etc.) was a nice addition to the expected normal service. A welcome pack containing local items was appreciated and helped get our holiday off to a good start. The kitchen area contained everything you could possibly need should you decide to cater for yourself which we did on more than one occasion. You really are spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out or when looking for somewhere to just have a drink. The Salt Loft also had a useful list of local eateries which was accompanied with accurate, honest comments. We'd personally recommend Sam's, located just next door, good food, well priced but if busy you may have a long wait. The Fowey Hotel is highly recommended and welcomes non residents, even if you just want to have a coffee overlooking the harbour. Our favourite place was the Quay Bakery where they produce fantastic breads and sweet bakes, followed closely by Fowey Fish. Everywhere is within a few minutes walk. My wife was very impressed with the diversity and number of jewellery shops selling local individual pieces. Fowey is a perfect base for exploring a multitude of historic and interesting places, including Lanhydrock House, Eden Project, and the dramatic North coastline, are all within easy reach. We have already recommended Salt Loft to friends and family.

We have just returned from a lovely week staying in Fowey at the Saltloft and we were very impressed by this fabulously located apartment. Easy access to pubs, restaurants and shops which is superb but if like us you have long fulfilling days in delightful Cornwall, it is equally great to spend evenings relaxing in this home from home. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the apartment and the well equipped kitchen. All in all a great place to stay. We will be spreading the word about this smashing little place.

This was the second trip to the Salt Loft for my partner and I, booked to celebrate three special occasions over one week. We cannot recommend this wonderful little place highly enough! The apartment is beautiful, fully stocked with everything you need for a self catering holiday, which is rare to find! It is comfortable, light and airy and feels like home from the moment you sit down with your first cup of tea! The location of the Salt Loft has to be seen to believed, the centre of Fowey, and all it has to offer is literally right outside your door. On our first trip to this gorgeous little Cornish gem we had planned day trips to all sorts of places but found ourselves in Fowey all week fully occupied with no need to venture any further! The Salt Loft is a magical little find and a place we will return to again and again.

A lovely flat, well equipped, and so well located for all the shops, pubs, restaurants, and the sea. The L shaped living area was so roomy, when sitting relaxing the kitchen is out of view, but for culinary use the kitchen is well equipped and laid out. The bakers is 30 seconds away, yes 30 seconds, I timed it, and SAMs is also right on the doorstep, great atmosphere, great staff, fabulous food, and don't be frightened to ask for 2 starters. You could not be closer to the centre of town. Loved it.
