All good

Very clean, lovely and warm after some freezing and wet days working in the local area. Nice touches with the shortbreads (which are lovely). A telly that actually works. Great hosts who have been helpful and flexible on my multiple returns.

I really enjoyed my time (4 nights) at Sergeants. The room was a good size and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. I stayed on a room only basis and used the Nelson Cafe for breakfast two occasions and this was very convenient being approximately 200 yards from Sergeant’s (please be aware they are not open on Sunday). The room (number 1) was good and warm and the en-suite had a larger than usual shower with a multi-spray shower with good pressures and plenty of hot water. There was a generous supply of tea, coffee, milk available with a bonus of a packet of Welsh Cakes! Also available was a fridge, kettle and microwave. Jimmy the proprietor was friendly and approachable - I would definitely recommend Sergeants to anyone visiting this part of Wales.

Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They offered to upgrade us to a larger room at no extra cost and the accommodation was wonderful - very stylish and modern, comfortable with everything we needed plus the unexpected extras of a fridge, microwave and Welsh cakes!

It was warm and comfortable after some long working days. Loved the shower.

The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great!! The information folder was very helpful and the background info about the property was really interesting.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and a good size. I was a little hot in the night but were coming in to the cold season so the heating was on, I can’t moan about people heating a room up with the prices of heating. Was a great nights sleep the room had everything I needed for my stay.

The host are amazing.....I am honored to meet them...they even extended my check out time and assisted me with getting a cab. Quiet and clean accommodation I love it.

The accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfortable and is very well equipped. The history of the place and it’s quirkiness make it very interesting too. It is also close to the town centre of Nelson and to the bus routes which makes it easy to travel to other places if you don’t have a car.

The view from the room is not that great but I guess there’s not much that can be done about that.

Lovely local place with a twist. Poor landlady had heard ‘not the first time I stayed in one of these’ probably every person 😂 The place was great, the owners were superb and very accommodating. There’s a bit of a garden area where you can relax with a couple beers and chat before you go off to your room and a small pub down the road which is a nice local one and not a chain. Oh and a cafe as well which do a nice breakfast with banter. I somehow lost my key card and offered to pay to replace it but the owner refused my payment and wouldn’t have it!

I stopped in a twin room. For me I am 6’2, so beds with the footers are a bit of an issue (always end up damaging myself on them) so I created a sandwich bed and doubled the mattress so not an issue In the end. I turned the fridge off at night as I am a light sleeper but was a nice set up.
