Great views, great location! This place worked great as a winter getaway - tons of natural light and space. The views were incredible of the marsh!

The house was perfect for our getaway...the bedrooms and the bathrooms were incredible! The weather was wet and windy, but inside it was warm and cozy! We especially loved the gas fireplace!

Craig and Robin have a beautiful property with everything you need. Modern amenities, amazing views, the best shower in the world, great WiFi, and really nice comfort touches like plenty of paper towels and soaps etc. Never felt like we were in need of something or something was missing. Thank you very much.

The house was better in-person than in the pictures! There were 5 of us: 2 adults, two 3.5 year olds, and an infant. We rented over the long Thanksgiving holiday as a local getaway during COVID. It was a perfect vacation home for our family with close driving access to the beach and town. Saw cranes and hawks from the deck, and watched the planes land right in front of the house! The only drawback was the busy road, but because it was off-season it was totally manageable. We had a slight issue with check-in; the door code was not communicated to us in time for 4pm check-in. But I was able to call VRBO and obtain the owners cell phone number. Craig the owner is extremely hospitable; the best I have experienced. Extremely responsive and willing to go out of his way to make our stay exceptional.

From the beautiful views, proximity to both the beach and Newburyport center, and the helpful, kind owners, we could not have asked for anything more. Did I mention the sunsets - spectacular. It's also only a mile or so from the Parker Refuge, a spot famous for bird watching, and with 7 miles of pristine, empty beaches right on the Atlantic. Great for hanging, fishing, or just being at one with the sea. Bob's Lobster is a must do clam shack right next door, and there are several other restaurants right on Plum Island and Newburyport is 5 minutes away with options galore.The house is well kept up, beds are comfortable, kitchen is workable if you are cooking - though you may want to bring your own sharp knives if that matters to you. Enjoy it - we did!

Great spot for a weekend getaway from the kids. Amazing location and view, convenient to all things Plum Island and Newburyport including the incredible Bob’s Lobster a short walk down the street.

We enjoyed staying at this house for two nights. We enjoyed the wonderful marsh views from most rooms. It is located right on the road to Plum Island and close to Newburyport and a walk to Bob Lobster! The property manager was quickly available when needed.

We loved our visit and the house is located right between the beach and downtown Newburyport restaurants. We hope to be back next year! Thanks for the hospitality.

Sparkling clean, new house, comfortably furnished. There are lovely views of the surrounding salt marsh from every window. Sunset on the back deck was beautiful and totally different every night. The road is a bit busy but the location (one mile from Plum Island, and two from Newburyport) is very convenient.

The home was very comfortable and in beautiful repair. Loved exploring the towns of the North Shore. It was a great get away!

Location is great - about 5 min from the beach as well as downtown Newburyport. It's also a great place to hang out and relax either in the home or on the back deck to enjoy the views/sunset. The owners were also responsive. This would be a 5-star review but unfortunately we were told when we arrived that there was an issue with the hot water. We had to go downstairs (3 stories from bedroom bathrooms) to restart the boiler every time we wanted to shower, and even after doing so, the shower could only sustain heat for about 2 min at a time. This was incredibly frustrating. Nothing worse after a long day at the beach. Additionally, some of the furniture on the back deck was broken when we arrived and one of our guests fell down trying to sit into one of the seats. Overall, a good stay and would return but would be remiss to not highlight these issues, particularly the lack hot water.

This was our second time staying at the Artist’s Perch and we hope to stay again soon. We rarely enjoy a rental home enough to return, but this house is worth it! The hosts are available and make an effort to make us feel welcome.

The home is new, clean, well stocked, beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, etc. And that was not as amazing as the views from every window, the quick walk to Bob’s lobster, quick bike ride to the beach. We loved everything about the house. We actually booked another stay already. The homeowners were gracious and very responsive. We definitely recommend this home for a stay on Plum Island.

This house is wonderful. Thoughtfully decorated with a floor plan that brings the outside in. Amenities are modern, mattresses are comfortable, and the master suite just can’t be beat. Waking up to views of the endless marshes is a treat, with unobstructed vistas both north and south, including the Merrimack River, where you can watch the boats come and go. In August the greenness of the marsh is like eye candy and tough to put into words. The back deck offers spectacular sunsets and if the tide is right, you can spot fish and crabs directly below. If you’re into photography there’s no limit on interesting views to capture. The variety of bird life in of itself was amazing. Location is perfect for beaching (1 mile), paddling/bird watching (5 minute drive) and eating (2 mile drive to Newburyport center). The one caveat is the proximity to the road, it’s quite busy during the day, but at night it’s peaceful and perfect. It’s a relatively small con when compared to the views and the lack of neighbors, especially during the short term rental season. Craig and Robin are very much engaged with the management of this property, communicating in real time throughout our stay, and they made us feel not only welcomed but valued as tenants. We’re looking forward to returning!

This home was a great getaway for Plum Island. It was a 2 minute drive to the beach! The home came with some beach towels and chairs which we were short on and very pleased they had. Air conditioning was very effective and the back deck and grill made for an epic dinner spot. At one point we had to get in touch with the owners and they were prompt and helpful in their response! Would definitely use this home again!

This home is beautiful and well maintained. Craig was very responsive and always checking with me to make sure everything was ok and we had everything we needed.

Spent a beautiful June week at Craig and Robin’s fabulous home. Fantastic location between the quaint town of Newburyport and Plum Island. The house is well furnished, clean and loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The vista off the back deck was awesome and sunsets were spectacular. The bottle of wine and chocolates that greeted us were a nice touch. Overall, a great week.!
