Quite a wonderful property. Everything was as presented. The view from the front porch and the boat activity on the channel are great. We - 5 seniors - had everything we needed and spent a lot of time just relaxing at the house. Proximity to SB - walkable - is a plus, but the home is very quiet and there is no feeling whatsoever that you are as close as the house is. Highly recommend this property.

Just a fantastic place! Our host was exceptional. My only regret is that I can't take the home with me everywhere I go. I hope the house is available the next time I am in Door County.

This was a great home for our family of four adults. The two main living spaces were great for visiting and one easily accommodated morning exercise routines. The kitchen is very well equipped with dining space to fit eight comfortably and two more at the counter. The yard is lovely - a great spot for games and high-energy young ones -- and the view out the front to the Sturgeon Bay ship canal gave us a constant stream of wildlife and boats. So serene and awesome. It was a quick walk to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning and to the many downtown restaurants and shops.

Immaculate home. A perfect layout for families. Many hours spent on the comfortable front porch reading, drinking coffee and watching the boats. Owners were attentive and prompt with any questions we had. A short walk into town with quaint shops and dining. Bed linens and towels were top-notch. A wonderful stay and we would definitely stay there again.

This rental home was wonderful—one of the best we’ve stayed in. It had everything we needed, and was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the water. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We’d love to come back! Thank you David and Shaun.

The house, the location, the host...all perfect. Sturgeon Bay is still a part of Door County but slightly less hectic than the cities further up the peninsula so this house is quiet and peaceful- and we couldn't get enough the beautiful front porch and that view of the canal. You can walk into town for events or meals. The hosts have great suggestions for places to eat or hike and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this lovely home!

This was our second year staying at this property and we enjoyed it just as much as last year! Truly a beautiful home which is kept immaculately clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The Canal house was awesome! Great location, very clean and had everything we needed! Dave and Shawn were great hosts and suggested many things to do. We have recommended this hose to others and we definitely will be back!!

Last year we stayed at the Canal house in early August and found it to be such a perfect place for us to relax and enjoy Door County with our family that we booked it again this summer. It surely didn't disappoint! To start with, we were blessed with perfect weather for almost the entire week. The location on the bay shore is beautiful and in walking distance to downtown Sturgeon Bay, and there are activities available almost every day. The front porch is a perfect place to take in the beauty of the waterfront. The large open kitchen and dining area easily accommodate lots of people for playing games and having meals. The adjacent patio deck is a good place to enjoy the numerous birds and beautiful plantings in the back yard. The bedrooms are clean, well decorated, and the beds are very comfortable. Dave and Shaun are excellent hosts and are quick to respond to any requests. We will return again!

My husband and I enjoyed this nice Cape Cod style home on the water. We spent many hours enjoying the views from the chairs on the covered porch and the red chairs in the “viewing room.” The large kitchen is modern and well-equipped. We enjoyed walking to the healthy grocery store down the street, to various shops and to the history museum. The kind owners recognized and helped us celebrate our special occasion. — We will return! This home was everything we were looking for in our visit to Door County. It was in a quiet neighborhood along the water. It was very spacious allowing the six of us the comforts of home and the room to enjoy our friendship. Great place to stay

We stayed in the lovely home for our nephew's wedding and it couldn't have been nicer. The pictures really show off the home, but in person it is even more spectacular. The front porch offers the most relaxing view and we used it every morning and evening. Lots of room if you have a family and lots of nice provisions. We hated to leave and would definitely rent this home again. The owners are amazing too and answered our questions and requests very quickly.

I loved the appearance of the house online. It is even more charming in real life. It is an extremely clean and comfortable home. Lots of nice, thoughtful touches and beautiful nautical decorating. The house could easily accommodate 6 people, but the two of us enjoyed the size just for us. The front porch is where my husband spent his time when we were at home. Neighbors walking by are all very friendly. The living room and library are comfy and inviting. As another reviewer mentioned, I also wished we had a longer stay! The location is great, convenient, and very safe. I think we could have just brought clothes, and would not have needed a thing. I loved the kitchen layout, (very well stocked) although we really did not cook much as there are so many wonderful eateries in Sturgeon Bay and Door County. Definitely 5 star!

The Canal House was perfect for our stay in Sturgeon Bay. The setting on the bay is beautiful, with several rooms and the covered deck providing many comfortable vantage points for relaxing and taking in the view. The house is spacious, well decorated, and provided everything we needed for entertaining and enjoying family time together. It is within easy walking distance to downtown Sturgeon Bay and is also the perfect launch point for day trips to visit the rest of the Door Peninsula. Shaun and Dave were wonderful hosts and made sure we lacked for nothing. We only wish our stay had been longer and hope to return again soon.

We were 2 senior couples staying for the first time in Sturgeon Bay. This house couldn't have been better. Large rooms and kitchen was great. Located close to the downtown. The best space is on the front porch, if you love watching boats this is the place to be. The host provided us with dinner suggestions and the food was great at everyone of them. Go during the Wooden Boat Show, very fun event at the Maritime Museum right on the water front. We will be back and will definately stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at the Canal House! It is a beautiful home, extremely clean, stocked with everything we could need and the location is perfect. We enjoyed the view while relaxing on the front porch and loved walking to town to enjoy the shops. Dave and Shaun were great hosts and we look forward to our stay next summer!!!

This was perfect for our group! Extremely clean, beautifully decorated and more spacious than you think. Amenities are upscale and plentiful-two of our guests want their towels at our house! We visited in early August, and we walked downtown several times and really enjoyed passing the beautiful homes on Memorial Dr. We also took several drives to different areas and attractions during the day so it's a great home base for day trips around Door County. Best part for us was the end of the day on the front porch (also in the early am for coffee), watching the boats, birds, and occasional draw bridge activity. Back yard is also very quiet and peaceful. Owners are very responsive and care about your stay.
