We love staying on the bay side, and picked this house because of the use of the kayaks, and crab traps. The dock is a little small for fishing and the boat was docked so that took away from some of the visual space, but we were still able to catch quite a few sand trout, speckled trout and hard heads. The house was very tidy and had nice linens, and extras too like, ziplocks, foil, trash bags, etc. We like to cook, and the kitchen was a little small for that, but very well equipped with everything we needed to cook for four adults and two children. We love that we were all able to sit inside and eat at the table together. The mosquitoes were pretty bad, and even though we brought two bottles of spray, we finish those off and I was glad that the house had an extra we were able to use. Overall, it was a great visit, and the house is in a good location.

We just stayed in this house for Memorial Day Weekend, and we really enjoyed out time there. It fit our family of 5 perfectly and even had an extra bed. I very much enjoyed the view from the dock and the second-floor deck. They had bikes for me and the kids to ride, which made it easy for a quick run to the store in the front of the subdivision for some yummy breakfast burritos (which by the way, one is big enough for two people). It had everything we needed, and it was very clean. The property manager, Kathy, was very responsive (even on a holiday weekend). I will definitely stay here again!

It was a pleasure staying here! My family and I had a great time. We all enjoyed fishing off the deck. The house was very comfortable and super clean. I would recommend if you want a peaceful getaway!

Perfect in every way. Super clean, beautifully decorated, located right on the canal. We fished, caught and cooked crab, floated in the canal, kayaked and went bike riding. All the extras are what makes this place so special. Plenty of room for six people and fully stocked. Short 15 minute drive to heart of sea wall. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we will definitely be back.

Our family was very impressed with this property to say the least. The house was amazingly clean, tidy, fully appointed with everything you could possibly need or want. The weather was not cooperating but we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with family at Casa La Rosa and the side trips to Galveston and the Houston Rodeo were icing on the cake. I would recommend anyone looking for a relaxing family friendly vacation to book this place immediately. Thank you Kathy for letting us borrow your lovely home. We will be back.

Kathy was very easy to work with, we arrived early and she let us check in early! The house was beautiful, she provided so much for kids to do, kayaks, fishing and boogie boards. We wish the weather was better but everyone loved just hanging out at the house. Would definitely recommend for a family, convenient to beach and Galveston proper. Will stay again next time we go!

Perfect place for our quick trip to Jamaica island! The house had everything we needed and more! We have 5 children, from newborn to 18 - they all had the best time! Fishing off the deck, bike rides to the park made the 2 days fly by! You can’t go wrong with this place!!

I would highly recommend this house. Very well equipped, so you need to pack minimal items. Close proximity to several tourists spots, but just far enough for a tranquil atmosphere.

We attended a wedding in Galveston and stayed at La Casa Rosa. The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 1 infant. We enjoyed the deck, kayaks, and bikes.

This was a perfect place for our stay. We took 4 grandsons as a reward for tutoring all summer. They love to fish and the pictures and the reviews is why we chose this place! It was spot on. It was clean, and had everything we needed. The grandsons loved the crab cages, the canoes and fishing both off the top deck and the lower deck. We also loved having the bicycles and took bike rides when we could pull them away from fishing. Kathy our host was very accommodating and replied back quickly to any questions we had. She was wonderful and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely come back. Lots of great memories were made! Just don’t forget the mosquito spray!

We absolutely loved our stay at La Casa Rosa! The house is worth all the amenities alone! From bikes to kayaks to boogie boards, bate boxes, crab traps and so much more! This house has all the comforts of home without having to lug everything with you or buy it down there! Close to restaurants, convenience stores, and more! Would certainly rent again!

House was wonderful! Everything we needed was there for us. Super clean and very comfortable beds and pillows! There was actually plenty of lighter Fluid in the storage for the charcoal grill. It was probably leftover from previous guests so it may not be necessary to but it before checking. The only negative was how cold the upstairs bedroom got compared to the downstairs bedroom. If you like to sleep cold like we do, the upstairs adult bedroom gets much colder than the downstairs one. Other than that it was such a great house!

The house was beautiful and clean. Our family really enjoyed the downstairs area. There were plenty of little extras that made beach trips more fun. The neighborhood was quiet which was nice. Also it was very close to beach access . Great house will use Why Waite Vacations again!

Check in was easy. House was as listed. Nice being on a canal where kids could fish and swim. Enjoyed the kayaks and crab traps. Only cons were owner’s boat was in lift that kinda of blocked views but did provide a little more shade for the afternoon in the lower deck area, the other con was a house across the canal was having a weekend teenage birthday party that got a little rowdy.

Great home for mini vacation
House had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. It was clean and bright. I would just recommend that the bed frame in one of the guest bedrooms is fixed so that it doesn’t squeak every time you move. It was loud enough that it was hard to sleep. Other than that everything else was excellent.

We love this place!
This is the second time we have stayed in this unit. We absolutely loved it again. The house is very clean, inviting, and welcoming. Our favorite thing about staying here is that it is right on the water, has kayaks, bikes, plenty of space for fishing, and is a very short drive to the beach. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, and the beds are VERY comfortable. A lot of thought is put into making this house perfect for vacationing. There are tons of seasonings, kitchen appliances, toiletries, games- really, anything you can think of, this house has it! If you are looking for a safe, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay- look no further!! La Casa Rosa has it all!!

We love to grab a VRBO beach house and stay for about a week every summer...this house was one of our FAV. Very clean and love the location around the canal - easy get-in and get-out with no canal traffic. Property Mgr was extremely helpful and you can tell the owners LOVE their property. So comfortable. Beautiful propertyy
One of the best VRBO homes I have rented, so clean and tidy. Bedding and towels are newish and great quality. Beds are comfortable memory foam type mattress’. Bedrooms are smallish but perfectly laid out. Kitchen appliances are newer and spotless. The deck is so nice and the kids really enjoyed fishing and kayaking right off the lower deck. They even caught some crabs in the provided crab traps. Would definitely recommend! Close to convenience store and restaurants as well as the beach.
