The property was perfectly located for our trip. Karl was a wonderful and welcoming host. The house was gorgeous and spacious. The property was gorgeous with great ambiance and even a river running along the back. My kids enjoyed walking and exploring.

Beautiful setting used for various wedding events. There is a surprise around every corner with the decor. We had 7 in our party. It is close to the Coliseum where we had events to attend. The owners live next to the house and are available for questions and concerns.It is a peaceful country on 10 acres. Plenty of bathroom space. The beds were comfortable. I am not sure where people slept if there were more then 8 people but there was 2 blow up mattresses in a closet. Loved loved this place!

We traveled from California to host our daughter and new son in laws wedding reception at the river twist . The river twist exceeded all of our expectations and was perfect for us. 7 of us stayed on the property for 5 days making decorations, food , picking flowers etc ... We had 68 guests for the big day. It was truly a magical day , we will all remember and cherish forever. We would love to return again. The house was clean , comfortable and plenty of room. The property is absolutely gorgeous and very private. Carl was a very helpful and attentive host always available to us . Thank you so very much Carl and Jan for sharing your home , barn , RV, art studio , flower house and amazing property with us!

Stayed here with 7 family members for a college graduation. Pretty property, very quiet. Amazing master suite. One mile from furniture mart. Owners very gracious hosts.

We were in town for High Point graduation. My whole family stayed at the house. It was nice nice to be together, hang out on the deck and just enjoy the place. The location was close to the school and other activities. The owners were super nice and very accommodating. Highly recommend the house.

The property was just beautiful, the home was roomy, full of amenities and just a perfect spot for our family to meet for Thanksgiving. We were even able to make it work for my daughter who is wheelchair bound, with just a little extra effort. The owner was very friendly and responsive to any needs we had. We would definitely return to this property for a family get together in the future:)

The ideal location for our bride to be and her bridesmaids.. beautiful property. Lovely owners. Close to services and an easy 25 minute drive to the Sophia wedding venue.

Plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. We plan to book again next year when we come back.

We were in town for a college graduation, and had two families sharing the house. The owner was super welcoming when we arrived, and we could tell he's very proud of this property. Everything was in bloom, and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The house suited our needs perfectly, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all guests. The kitchen is well-appointed and had everything we needed to host a barbecue. The hosts also had charcoal waiting by the grill, and plenty of staples in the pantry that we were invited to use. The ONLY thing I would suggest is that you bring chairs for the deck if you plan to have a group of people visit as we did. We were able to round up just about enough by moving some from other porches, but it would have been a bit easier if we'd just brought some foldable chairs with us. This is a minor detail, as our visit was GREAT in every other way!

Our family enjoyed the stay at River Twist. The house and grounds are beautiful. This is a hidden oasis in the middle of a city. Great for families or just a getaway for yourself.

We had a wonderful time at the River Twist Homestead.

My family and I had a simply wonderful and relaxing time at this property. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home and they were more than kind to talk with us whenever we had any questions regarding anything in the home. This home is much bigger than the pictures attest to on the website. There are some quiet areas inside and outside the home where you can sneak away for some solitude. I became buddies with the cats and dog on the property. They were all just too damn cute. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to find some peace and solitude away from the cities in the region.
