What a delightful historical spot in Macon. We were en route from Florida to New England and decided to spend 2 nights at this lovely property. The staff was helpful and gracious. The cocktail hour was a treat. We enjoyed our drinks on the inviting front porch. Breakfasts were just exceptional and a great start to the day. We enjoyed some sightseeing around town and some excellent dining.

If we return, we’ll opt for slightly bigger accommodations. We chose a room in the top floor of the building behind the main building. It was cozy but lacking in natural light since it only had one window.

The Inn was beautiful. The bed and linens were so comfortable and the staff was super friendly and attentive.

The 1842 Inn is wonderful. In a quiet and old part of Macon at the top of a hill. The property is well kept with old Magnolia trees in front and gardens in the rear. It looks just like a postcard. We enjoyed our stay very much

We have no complaints or suggestions to improve. This is a well run property and has wonderful employees who know their jobs very well.

The staff was so great!

The room itself is starting to need repairs, like ceiling needing to be refinished, but it was still a clean room.

As with most of the city, the mid to late 19th century architecture of the inn & surrounding neighborhood was such a delight. The staff was accommodating, friendly & offered extra amenities in a beautiful sitting parlor.

If I had known that there are no elevators I would’ve asked for a first floor room.

Location was good. Close to downtown and Mercer University.

Toilet running. TV too small.

Breakfast was fine. Next time I will try the continental breakfast. Missed happy hour, but enjoyed drinks later after dinner. Met other guests in lounge which was nice. All staff was friendly, helpful and nice. Will definitely come back next year!

Great value. Great breakfast. Very comfortable room.

TV seems like 30 inches, it is quite small for the standard. The floor in the room feels like not very clean and is a bit greasy.
