Great position close to town. Comfortable house. The level of cleanliness of kitchen and bbq was disappointing and the gas heating was not working.

Very clean and comfortable; well supplied; good location - easy walk to main street and shopping; a variety of places to visit and experience close by. Highly recommend a visit to Orange and a stay at Barton House.

Very nice place, warm in the cold winter nights and easy access to shops, bars and cafes. Would stay again . A little more firewood next time.

I contacted Pete before my stay to ask the property location. He was very friendly and helpful. It was perfect! Close to the centre, shops, cafes and restaurants. We walked everywhere! The house is beautiful. Spacious, light and airy. A gorgeous big sun soaked garden and a lovely bright living area. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids to run around. All appliances are state of the art and the furnishings beautiful. We all enjoyed the visit to Orange.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Was very easy to walk to restaurants and shop in orange. Very comfortable would definitely stay again when visiting orange with friends

A beautifully appointed property in a great location. The living space is full of light and very warm. We were able to walk to cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs. I highly recommend this property.

Great weekend Great location

We loved the location of this property, a short walk to town, cafes and restaurants. The wood fire was lovely, warmed the room well and gave a lovely ambiance.

The property is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Short walk to Main Street of town and the pubs and cafes. 10min drive to most of the vineyards Just some super minor things to be aware of that might make the stay better. Whilst the kitchen has a dishwasher there was no dishwashing powder and only a few drops of dishwashing liquid so we should have brought from home. Nor any wash cloths/flannels provided so also byo. All other towels and beautiful linen supplied. Whilst the fire was laid for a night the was no other matches/ kindling or smaller logs for following nights- there is ducted A/C though if needed. Finally, I may have overlooked this in the listing but the rental is not for the entire home. The home seems to have a wing sectioned off. Whilst I don’t consider ourselves in the slightest bit noisy or bothersome, we found ourselves tiptoeing past sealed off doors to ensure we weren’t disturbing anyone on the other side. I actually decided against another listing because there was a possibility of having others under the same roof so was a little disappointed I missed this bit in the listing. None of this took away from the 5 stars I have given the property.

The accommodation was outstanding, centrally located to the main street of Orange but far enough away that you had no traffic noise. When we next go to orange we will use this accommodation again

A lovely home in a very central spot to walk to the shops, cafes etc. Communication with the owner was prompt, informative and helpful.

Our stay was superb! We had a slight hiccup on checkin but to Peter’s credit it was resolved within minutes! His quick response was super impressive and made our stay even more enjoyable!

We loved everything about “Barton” it was clean, comfortable and close to restaurants and shops. The weather wasn’t great but the fire was perfect and kept us warm. We can’t wait to be able to visit again especially with the rest of our family.

Beautifully renovated Federation house that is spacious, clean and juat two blocks back from the main street of beautiful Orange. Fantastic host who is responsive and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend!!
