The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are exceptional. The Penthouse Suite is simply divine, with magnificent views over the North Bay. The breakfasts are beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are absolute top class, friendly and amazingly helpful. The owners are lovely, making you feel like part of the family.
The Penthouse Suite is simply amazing, that view from the window is just gorgeous, the bed is wonderful, the bathroom facilities are sumptuous. Would we come again..Oh Yes Please!

Location up on the castle road suited us two old codgers perfectly, well away from the beaches and the usual sea-side hurly-burly : it would suit families and youngsters less well. Parking was good, breakfasts out of this world, the whole place friendly and spotlessly clean. If we come Scarborough way again, this is the first door we'll be knocking on. Big big big thank you.

Loved the room which was the Penthouse. Fabulous views, extremely clean. Yoki (apologise if wrong spelling) the Duty Manager was so welcoming and a fabulous host. Breakfast was exceptional. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend and will definitely return if in Scarborough again.

We usually stay in the Penthouse Suite which gives you a bit more room and fantastic views of the North Bay. The only problem is, as we are getting older those stairs to the top floor are getting steeper!! Maybe we'll have to go on a lower floor next time. Plenty of coffee/tea/biscuits facilities in the room and always very clean. Very good breakfast, filled us up for the day and we didn't eat again until tea time.

We have stayed in the apartments several times now and they have been great. This time we decided to stay in the b&l in the penthouse. The room was superbly furnished with a nice comfortable bed. The views from the room are superb from the castle right over to Ravenscar in the distance, brilliant. There are a couple of chairs provided that are perfect for pulling up to the window, pouring a glass of wine and watching the world go by. We had a great time.

We had the penthouse suite which has been newly renovated. It was an amazing room with an amazing view. The location of the hotel was very good and so was the cooked breakfast. Would definitely come back again.

We stayed for 3 nights in the penthouse room at the Helaina - our first break this year due to work commitments and Covid and had a wonderful time! Having been regulars at the Helaina since 2007 we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Everything was as normal even though things aren't normal - the staff greeted and treated us as they usually do, our room was spotless and nothing was too much trouble.
