This place was great and had so much room. Great kitchen that was stocked. Plenty of bikes to use.

We loved this house, clean, owners were great, easy walking to shops and beach. Kids enjoyed the heated pool and bikes. Plenty of seating indoors and out for our group of 9! Definitely would recommend

Great house! Greats hosts, loved Tybee Island. This was a multigenerational group for annual family get together, one of the best places we’ve stayed over the years. The games, bikes, beach accessories all made our stay extra fun and easy. Highly recommend!

We went to Tybee for a girls trip mid-October and chose this house because it claimed to have a heated pool. The house and location were perfect and in walking distance to everything on the south side of the island. However, when we arrived the pool was at 60 degrees. It looked like the heater had just been turned on the day we arrived, and it only got to about 67 before we left 3 days later, so we were never able to use it which was incredibly frustrating.

We love Tybee and have been several times. This was the first time we stayed at this property but will not be the last! Beautiful home close to absolutely everything. Short walk to the beach with all beach supplies you might need included. The home was less than a block from friends of ours who live on tybee full time so made it extremely easy and convenient to walk to visit with them. A+++ stay and hosts. Thank you for hosting our family for our first group family trip in years!

Spent a wonderful week at The Wandering Mermaid. Had plenty of room for our family of 10. The heated pool was wonderful. Beautifully decorated and well taken care of. Quick responses with the homeowners. Would be happy to stay again.

Had a great time. House was clean and well stocked with supplies. Had an issue with downstairs ac unit but owner had already installed some window units to try and make us a comfortable as possible. We had 9 in our group and all were comfortable.

This was the nicest home we have ever rented for our family vacation!! From the moment we walked in to the home we were blown away by the decor and cleanliness, it was like a movie set!! The beds were super comfortable. Everything was so convenient.The owners are top notch wonderful people..We had the best time, the kids loved the pool!! We love to cook and the kitchen was perfect for that, my only complaint is that the pots and pans were very warn..

After some hiccups the first day, we had a wonderful trip. The Wondering Mermaid is in the perfect location. We had great days on the beach. The beach wagon at the property was awesome to haul everything to the beach. We loved being able to walk to restaurants, shops, and the pier. The house is decorated so cute and our family of 8 had plenty of room with even extra beds. We enjoyed the pool, grilling out, and making s’mores at the fire pit. The outdoor bathroom was nice to have also. I loved sitting out on the front porch on the tall Adirondack chairs in the morning and in the evenings. We would definitely like to stay at the Wondering Mermaid again in the future!

Can't say enough great things about our stay. The proximity to the beach is great, and the pool is an added bonus. The house was spacious and luxurious. The power went out and the property manager not only was there within half an hour to troubleshoot, but also issued us a partial refund (which they didn't have to do). Would highly recommend this property not just for the space itself but also for the peace of mind that if something does go awry the owners are quick to fix any issues.

House is absolutely perfect. We stayed for 4 nites. Great location. Pool is a nice addition and really utilized it. PSA, for anyone considering taking an uber, don't. It is very hard to get anyone to come to the island. Overall, everything was wonderful.

This was the perfect house for our family vacation. The house was an easy walk to the beach and the pool size was perfect for our little ones. They loved the pool! They have done a great job with the place. It’s exactly what we were expecting and more. I would recommend this house to anyone that has a decent size group. Very friendly people. Great communication. Walking distance to anything you should need. Overall stay is a 10/10.

We had a wonderful time at this property! The beach was a very short distance and the outdoor areas were well enjoyed by all. The property manager was very responsive and helpful with all of our needs!

We had an awesome time. Home accommodates a large family giving everyone their space. Had a little trouble with the pool being heated, all and all nice place!

Our family of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) thoroughly enjoyed this property. The color scheme and decor makes the house cozy and comfortable. The beach, restaurants and stores are in walking distance. I highly recommend staying at the Wandering Mermaid!

The house is beautiful and we felt it was in the nicest area of tybee island as well. We got to meet one of the hosts, very kind and even fixed a couple bike tires that gave out while there. Did not expect that! They have a fleet of bikes ranging in size that we used all week for our group ages 1-58/31”-74” tall ha! Enjoyed this home which was very clean and lovingly updated throughout. The outside has so many excellent hang spots too. A surprise hit was the outside bathroom (we’re midwesterners, what can we say). Just an excellent place centrally located although I’d go as far as to say you can bike about all of tybee regardless of where you’re coming and going to. This is a perfect vacation spot for families with littles with ease of travel and the soft un crowded beaches! The only thing I would suggest for visitors is if you stay in the upstairs sleeping areas take a sleep mask because the sky lights in tons of sun of course! Wouldn’t want have stayed anywhere else!

The establishment was wonderful, the host was quick with responses whenever I had a question, great location, and so much more. I recommend this stay and would stay again.

This house was perfect for our birthday/Thanksgiving trip with 6 adults and two young children. The communication was great! The house is two blocks away from restaurants, shops, a fishing pier, and the beach. They also have plenty of bikes for everyone. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped, even for Thanksgiving dinner! I only wish we could have stayed longer but would 100% stay there again and recommend to anyone.

This place was awesome! The atmosphere and location were great. Plenty of space and room for everyone. The kids enjoyed being able to bike around. We were staying during Tybee islands pirate festival so it was a little loud during the night. However 10/10 would recommend and stay again.

This was the second time we stayed at this beautiful house. You can't beat the location to the beach and pier and a good neighborhood. Rooms are great and beds are comfortable with soft sheets. There was pleanty of room for our party of six to enjoy together. I definitely will recommend it to my friends and family. 10+ stars.

We had an absolute BLAST in Tybee Island and Savannah with our Girl Scout Troop. We had 5 girls (High School age) and 3 adults. The house was PERFECT for us! All of the girls had enough room to sleep upstairs while the adults took bedrooms downstairs. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, including a closet with beach items, bicycles, and plenty of space for everyone. This house is 2 blocks from the beach, shopping, and eating areas. It was great being able to walk to the beach and not have to worry with driving or paying to park. We also LOVED the outside shower to rinse off the sand/ocean water before we went into the house. As a travel agent, I will be sure to recommend this house to my clients who wish to travel to this area.

My family of 8 loved this home. It was comfortable and spacious enough for us all. We would definitely stay here again.

This house is in a great location on Tybee! There were 9 adults staying here and it was great. There are actual beds for everyone and the living room and dining table could also accommodate us. That's not always the case with houses that sleep bigger groups. The decor is superv cute. TONS of outside seating is also available. All communication I had with host was helpful and timely. Would highly recommend.

My husband, my 5 yo daughter, and I stayed at the wandering mermaid for 10 days. His parents, brother, SIL, and two young nieces (4, and 1) stayed with us for the first five days and my sister and niece (22) stayed with us for the the last three days. We enjoyed having so much space to spread out. Individual family members and small groups of family members could do their own thing, and then we all gathered for dinner around the big table multiple times A few of us rode bikes to the light house or to make quick runs to the beach. My husband loved cooking gumbo for the whole family in the well-equipped kitchen. I loved quiet, shaded mornings reading on the balcony. Our daughter and nieces loved the the bunk beds - tho actually slept with their grandma I the big top floor bed. And, I believe each of the adults took and outdoor shower and loved having that option. Thanks Vickie and Bobby for providing so many creature comforts.
