The Sugar Bears chalet was everything I expected. It was clean, everything worked as it should and i didn't feel "too close" to the nearby chalets. The chalet owners were very nice and always replied quickly to help with any questions I had regarding my stay. I would definitely recommend this chalet to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

The cabin was wonderful. It was relaxing and the area was quit. I love that it is off to itself. It is easy to get to and a wonderful place to stay.

Quick trip to the mountains for some dining, shopping, and the Christmas parade. Nice cabin, with all the luxuries.

This charming little chalet tucked into a deadend high in the Tennessee Hills adjacent to the Smokey Mountain National Park is a treasure! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub at the end of our day of hiking spectacular trails in the park. We would then enjoy the deck as we watched the sun set. This cabin is on our return list! Don't miss this place!

This was everything we expected and more! The cabin was secluded and the views were incredible! We didn't mind the drive to the cabin, but if you were in a larger truck or smaller car the drive to the cabin may be difficult (some tight turns and some steep inclines). But, in our SUV we had no issues. Our only complaint was that the hot tub never got above 90 degrees, but I also did not reach out to the property owner regarding this as it wasn't a big deal to me or my partner. I'm sure if I had reached out they would have been able to help us. We will definitely be staying again the next time we visit Gatlinburg :)

My husband and I stayed here in June 2023 for a quick weekend trip. The owners were wonderful and very prompt when responding to a message. The cabin is beautiful and has a spectacular view. We are looking at dates now to come stay again. Highly recommend!

The chalet was clean and well-maintained. It was a secluded home with privacy. We did not see any bears on the property. It is close to downtown. Property felt safe, we had only one vehicle to pull in and leave, but no issues there. It was affordable and worth the money. Roads leading to the cabin were scary and far up, we made it but just be aware of that.

As advertised. Clean. Mountain views. Convenient yet private. Would gladly return.

It sets in the perfect spot we loved it thanks to the owners also they were available if we need them and everything was simple and clean when we checked in and check it out thank u again this is the best cabin and place I ever been in.

The cabin was great. My family and I enjoyed a few days here while visiting Gatlinburg. It’s a little far out but it is therefore nice and quiet and private. The cabin was very clean and comfortable!

Affordable with a great view, a relaxing jacuzzi, and modern amenities. We ran into a minor issue when we arrived but the owners picked up immediately and resolved it. Can’t beat it!

The cabin was exactly what we needed! It had all the amenities we needed. It was clean. The view is beautiful and it is very private feeling! Owners were great, they checked in before hand and otherwise let us unwind and relax. Wifi and AC were great! Super easy drive right into the main strip of Gatlinburg. Would both come back and recommend this place to friends!

We stayed here for our anniversary in early June and loved it. Very private, never saw anyone during our stay. The cabin is at the end of an unpaved service road that's only about 10p yards long, and the drive up and down can be hair raising if you drive a larger truck like myself but it's totally worth it. Very peaceful sitting on the porch watching the sunset. Hot tub was great for relaxing after hiking all day in the mountains. Cabin has everything you need for your stay from cookware to entertainment (video and board games and smart TV. The only critique I have is the stack washer/dryer was hard for me to use just because I'm pretty tall and getting clothes out of the washer requires a bit of contortionist skills after a day or walking or rafting😁.

We booked this Chalet on VRBO. The process was seamless. Everytime we visit the Gatlinburg area we try to stay in Cobly Nob. This was my first VRBO experience, so I was a little nervous. In the end everything worked out perfect. The Sugar Bears Chalet was extremely clean. The process of getting into the Chalet was a breeze. We stayed for 4 days / 3 nights. We enjoyed each and every moment. We had a visit by 2 grown bears, they decided they were going to come and get a drink out of the hot tub (It was covered, but they managed to just pull the cover back and give us a little show. We reached out to the owners and they immediately answered the phone (we just wanted to let them know there was some damage to the hot-tub cover). One of the things I really liked about this Chalet is that it isnt right on the main road, so you feel a little more secluded. I recommend sleeping in the upstairs bedroom - you get a great view of the mountains when you wake up in the morning. We wanted to stay for 2 more nights, unfortunately someone had booked for this Chalet Thursday, so we decided to move to another Chalet that is literally .1 mile from Sugar Bears. The new Chalet is nice as well, but we are closer to the road, so we dont feel as secluded. My only suggestion for the host would be: Rocking Chairs on the back deck - there are 2 nice anarondac chairs - they just dont rock. We will definitely try to book this Chalet again on our next visit!

We stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing! The roads are very windy getting there but the view was great and the cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed and the Property manager was great!

The hot tub wasn’t on and the lid was propped up against the porch when we arrived. The owners claimed possibly a bear had gotten into it which seems unlikely considering how nearly the lid was placed. My guess is the cleaners simply forgot to finish the job. The hot tub was unusable our entire stay. Cabin is relatively clean except for a strong mildew smell coming from the kitchen. Given the layout of the cabin, the smell is bothersome throughout the downstairs common space. We ended up checking out early with very bored and disappointed children. We were given a very small $50 refund for the hot tub. I’d suggest booking elsewhere.

Private, no one super close. Pretty high up in the mountains with a beautiful view. Video games were a hit with the kids. Well stocked and clean. First time staying in Gatlinburg and it was a great experience. Not too far from town

This was my first time coming to the mountains and I couldn’t wait to see the scenery. The location of this cabin is BEYOND perfect for taking in the beautiful surroundings. The cabin itself is simply adorable. I loved that it was decorated for Christmas as well! Even though it is 20-30 minutes to all the main tourist attractions, the drive to both downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was honestly not bad at all, it definitely felt quicker than it was. In my opinion, this cabin is the perfect place to stay if you don’t care about being walking distance/super close to downtown but still don’t want to be so far away that you waste your trip driving too and from. We only stayed the weekend, but I didn’t want to leave! Everything was immaculate and it felt like no one had stayed in the cabin prior to us. The only thing was I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the electric fireplace, but I know that was due to user error and not the cabin’s fault lol. I have a strong feeling I’ll be staying here again, and I can’t wait to go back!!

We absolutely loved our stay. Very clean and well appointed. It would be nice to put a roof over the hot tub area so it can still be used in the rain, but my only actual suggestion is to print out the fireplace relight directions as they are hard to read for the relighting process.

This was a beautiful and very clean cabin. My husband and I have stayed in many cabins over the years and this is our favorite! Beautiful view and very secluded feel as it is at end of dead end road which was so nice! Shelly was so great to work with and answered our questions promptly and was so helpful! We look forward to coming back here again! Highly recommend Sugar Bears Chalet!!
