Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem Traumhaften Ausblick. Das Personal sowie der Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und man wird herzlich aufgenommen.
!! Geheimtipp :) Das Restaurant & Frühstück haben mehr als nur 5 Sterne verdient! Bei unserer Costa Rica Rundreise war es das beste Essen was wir hatten.
In der Unterkunft gibt es eine kleine erhöhte Platform mit zwei Stühlen und einem Tisch im Garten. Von dort aus hat mein einen noch besseren Ausblick auf den Strand Playa Carrillo und kann wunderbar den Sonnenuntergang beobachten.
Der Strand, die Busstation und Läden sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.
Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und sind sehr sauber. Die Größe und Ausstattung der Zimmer sind vollumfänglich ausreichend. Jedes Zimmer hat einen kleinen Außenbereich mit Hängematte wo man super entspannen kann sowie auch ausreichend Platz, um seine Wäsche zu trocknen.
Für uns war die Unterkunft eines der schönsten und besten Aufenthalte in Costa Rica!

10/10 Die Lage ist wundervoll, nur ein paar Minuten vom traumhaften Playa Carrillo entfernt. Der Chef ist supernett, die Zimmer sauber und wunderschön.

Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Große Auswahl an Speisen und alles sehr lecker. Das Abendessen hatte Sterneniveau. Der Besitzer und alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und der Service war super. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

The breakfast was perfect. Very delicious and the perfect portion sizes.
The soap in the shower in my room’s bathroom was very low when I arrived and was not refilled.

A really great place above Carillo beach. We had room 2 with a view over the ocean. Nice patio with a hammock and chairs to relax. Only 5min walk to the beautiful beach. Breakfast was very delicious with four options to choose from. It was also very quiet and our host Roberto was really very accommodating. We really enjoyed our three day stay here.

The location of this place is just out of this world - a short walk to one of the most beautiful (and next to empty!) beaches I've been to with a difficult to top sunset view. The aircon worked well which was much appreciated. Our room was spacious with a lovely terrace with a hammock. The owner and staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Lovely breakfast on the restaurant terrace with a view.
We were right next to the restaurant which didn't bother us at all as it wasn't noisy until very late, but something to be aware of for those who would mind, you might want to ask for a room further away from the restaurant. The hammock is right by the aircon output so even hotter than the rest of the outside! Everything in the room was functional but could use a little TLC like a missing plug in the sink, a broken hook etc but nothing that deterred from the wonderful experience we had, thank you!

Breakfast was just fine and typical Costa Rican. Location was in the dining room with a wonderful view over trees and the coast. Some evenings they also had dinner which was 4 or 5 star as far as I am concerned. It did cost a bit to along with all those stars but I thought it well worth it.
The room was just fine, nothing particularly special about it. However, it served us quite well.

This is a very cute place, very well located, close to the beach, on a hill in a large field so the view is quite extraordinary. The staff is amazing, always trying to be helpful. The place is super clean. There is a little bar outside where you can sit and enjoy nature. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast offer is also great: 4 options.
it’s a very young and dynamic place, where there is a lot of back and forth, so it can be noisy. However, at 11pm everything stops and the nights were very quiet.

The restaurant was fantastic, many birds at breakfast and the view was great. Nice bar and the staff and owner were fantastic. The room was comfortable. This was our favourite beach on our trip, very short walk, sunset is as close to perfect as you can get.

Breakfast was excellent everyday. Choice of 4 options that while we were there consisted of American, tipico (rice and beans), pancakes, and yogurt with granola. They are very accommodating and also start you off with various fresh fruit and juice.
Only quarrel was the amount of bugs on the terrace at night. But hey, it's costa rica.

Service was great. Roberto goes out of his way to.make sure you are assisted with what you need. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The view is superb for sunsets. It is also a very close walk to the beach.
The rooms are little small and the construction finishing a little rustic. But if you spend your time at the beach or adventuring, it won't be an issue.

In la Puesta del sol you have a hostel, a bar and a restaurant. It’s a quiet place with a wonderful view. Also you can see a lot of animals there, monkeys, aras etc..
Our room was very clean and we had enough space.
The breakfast was very good and the food in the restaurant was delicious! (its only open from thursday till sunday, and its better to make a reservation, because its everytime full).
Puerto Carillo Beach is 5min by walk and is less crowded than Samara Beach.
We definitly wanna go there again.

the location, the view, the lovely staff, how mellow it was. the hotel is walking distance to a very beautiful beach. the breakfasts were very good. there were macaws flying around squawking every morning.
I wished there was food available like sandwiches during the nights the restaurant was closed but there are other restaurants within walking distance. The town is hilly so a car is probably a good idea although I didn’t have one.

This property, as a property is 5 at best. The condition of everything just outdated, old, thin walls, so rating this hotel is 9+ is absolutely bogus.

If you are looking for relaxation, great views, short walk to beach, a congenial host (Roberto) and an excellent restaurant then this is your place. Rooms are not fancy, but we slept well. Water-view rooms are larger.

We really enjoyed our stay at la puesta del sol. The location is great - just a 3 minute walk to the beach or 5 minutes to the nearby restaurants. Samara is just a 8 minute drive, but we preferred the beach of Carrillo.
Roberto and his team were super hosts - being always available if we had any questions.

The location was perfect, just a stroll and you are on the beach. Delicious breakfast with coffee and fresh fruit every day. The room was cleaned on daily basis and the staff took care of it in rainy days. A pleasant surprise on the terrace - rainbow crab as a permanent tenant. Highly recommended hotel.

The location was great, the staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. Easy walk to the beach or local restaurants.
We had one of the smaller rooms and it was a little cramped, but our kids had one of the larger rooms and it was spacious. Good value overall.
