What a wonderful property! It was a great place for a family gathering.

The problem with giving an outstanding review is that you let the cat out of the bag but it's kind to share with others, right? Our group was 3 vintage-age cousins who live in the Upper Midwest and the Central South so the St. Louis area was a great choice for our annual gathering. Being partial to log cabins, this one caught my eye a few years ago and I was ever so delighted to find it again.
This gem is tucked away, but easy to get to the city if that's your schtick. We really enjoyed relaxing on the property which has a front and back deck but did venture into STL twice. The beds are super comfortable which is very important (the bedding is great too). The furniture is plentiful and cozy. TVs abound but we never bothered to turn them on.
The place is stocked very well - including TP, towels, Keurig cups, spices, cookware, dishes, utensils, firewood, etc. In some places you can't find a piece of foil or plastic storage container to save your soul, much less left over food. The other thing we appreciated was the space for our unrefrigerated goods - that's another thing often lacking in rental properties.
Communication with the host was excellent and he was very interested in private feedback for anything thoughts that might enhance the stay.
This was definitely among the top of our cousins' stays over the past 20+ years. We will absolutely book this place again when we meet in St. Louis - as long as we are still able to navigate stairs!

We stayed here while having a short family trip to St. Louis. We enjoyed being just outside of the city and in a cabin for kids to play. The location was less than 20 minutes to the Arch and downtown. The zoo was also close. We enjoyed coming home after being in the city to the peace and quiet of the cabin! Great location and beautiful cabin!

I loved my stay in this beautiful cabin for my business trip. Communication with Dominic was perfect. It was just as listed. I found it to be incredibly charming and peaceful. Quiet and good for working or relaxing. I was able to get to everywhere I wanted to go from here as it is pretty well located to eastern metro area and St. Claire County.

Extremely clean home, very responsive host, filled with family-friendly features such as childproof doors and gates. Dominic also filled the coffee station with Keurig cups for our morning coffee. 10/10, will stay again.

The Cabin was one of the cleanest and most comfortable places I've stayed with VRBO. The place was well stocked with home supplies and the too often "forgot at home" items. The location was convenient to our St Louis activities. I definably would stay here again.

Close to so many city attractions yet surrounded by woods, the perfect spot to relax after a day of fun. Plenty of good small town restaurants nearby. Beds are wonderful and you feel like you’re in a mountain lodge! Plus you can play Pac-Man and foosball!

Great experience at a great cabin with great indoor and outdoor amenities. Very well stocked (water cooler, linens, towels, cleaning supplies) and clean. Great outdoor area with large fire pit and plenty of firewood. Located very close to St. Louis. Great hosts who were very helpful and communicative.

PERFECT GETAWAY
THIS PROPERTY WAS AMAZING. VERY EASY TO FIND AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED AND THEN SOME TO FEEL LIKE WE WERE GETTING AWAY WITHOUT DOING WITHOUT MODERN CONVENIENCES.
