We had the best time in the Spoleto by the Pool apartments! The property was very well organized and clean and the apartments are all very roomy and with that authentic Umbrian/Italian feel...... The airco and pool were very important to me because it can get very hot in Umbria in the summer and it is so great to come home after a warm day in town to enjoy the freshness of the airco apartment and the beautifull pool on the property! The owners are very helpful with all one might need and because of this the stay in Spoleto by the Pool is really perfect and without any flaws! I am recommending this property to all my friends and relatives, because I am sure they would like it there as much as I have. Moreover Spoleto is such a great liitle city....so much to do and so many nice peopel living there! We have enjoyed great jazz, lovely classical concerts, ballet and other forms of art during the famous Festival of two worlds in Spoleto and we have enjoyed the BEST food ever in and around Spoleto. I have no bad or less good experiences to write about and I have spend 4 solid weeks in Spoleto by the Pool. In short: if you are thinking to spend your holiday in Italy: book an apartment at Spoleto by the Pool because you will not find a better place in Umbria for that price!! review by Yildiz de Kat from the Netherlands.

What a wonderful location Spoleto-by-the-Pool is ! We enjoyed three lovely weeks soaking up our breathtaking surroundings. We didn't hire a car as we felt we wouldn't make use of it. If we wanted to go further afield, we were only a few minutes walk from the railway station..... and much less to the Supermarkets and town centre. We are not that physically fit but it suited us well. The facilities are a real bonus and extremely well maintained. This is the second time we have stayed with Laurie and Norma and are constantly amazed at their generosity of spirit and time when accommodating their guests. Laurie, what can I say but thank you so much for kindness and for meeting us at the station and for making sure we had everything we needed. I am dismayed at some of the dismissive reviews I have read. ( Fortunately, most are appreciative. ) Why the petty comments ? Norma's informative and detailed web site shows photos of the interiors of her apartments and the splendid outside facilities and panorama with descriptions of them all which leave you in no doubt as to exactly what you are getting when you book It would be a pity if these negative reports were to put future guests off from coming to stay. Spoleto-by-the-Pool is suitable for many types of guests wanting a wonderful holiday experience. Everything is consistently maintained on a daily basis. You only have to say, and if there is a fault, it will be dealt with. I must mention the generous welcome pack everyone receives. I am sure Laurie and Norma are not obliged to offer this service but it is so appreciated on arrival. They don't take a deposit for damages and don't charge a supplement for final cleaning as a great many European holidays do ! Finally, I would like to say " Hello " to fellow guests we met during our stay. Spoleto-by-the-Pool is that sort of place... private when needs be and sociable when you like... which just leaves me to say I look forward to booking for four weeks next year. Thank you Laurie and Norma for looking after us so well.

Although the grounds and the pool were lovely, and the Jacuzzi was an extra treat, our apartment was pretty basic and certainly fell far short of the owners' description of cottages 'exquisitely converted into six 2-bedroom, luxury apartments' - with the exception of the air-conditioning, there was nothing luxurious about ours. The owners, however, were friendly and helpful.
