the hotel was old castle that was cool .and the staff were friendly and the hotel was clean 👌 and the room size was very good 👍

The location is great. This is almost the only thing which is good about the hotel

Breakfast is like in a 3 star hotel, the staff at breakfast is not happy to welcome guests in the morning. we have waited for more than 30 minutes for a coffee. There is also a bad smell in the rooms.. Overall, furniture is too old and needs to be renovated. very poor ratio price-quality. we paid 1 850 euros for 3 nights

We booked the restaurant for 9 people on the 5th October and the Dukes Menu and wines were delicious, the service was very good and staff attentive. The hotel itself was excellent and we have no complaints about it.

On the strength of the above we booked the restaurant again for the following evening this time for 6 people but it was far from good. The menu was a la carte but was only different from the Dukes Menu by adding two options to each course, which was disappointing. The first course arrived quite quickly but we waited and waited for a long time to get our main courses. One bottle of wine was not drinkable as it contained so much dregs. We were not even offered deserts. The evening was a great disappointment. On checking out we paid all outstanding amounts but an hour later I received a phone call advising that there was an outstanding amount of £2,000+ and could they have authority to take it. This was not given because it was not owing. Even though no authority was given the amount was taken from my credit card. It took a return visit to the hotel producing all our receipts for them to agree that they had made a MISTAKE!! The amount was credited without even an apology merely stating the matter had been sorted. This is unforgiveable and really soured our break in Bruges.
