The location, history and grandness. Staff were well trained and very friendly.

The whole place felt very tired and in need of a decoration. The bathrooms were disappointing. Not keen on showers over bath.

It is in a very nice location and has good views.

Toilet would not flush properly, shower was very difficult to use, bad smell of mould in the room. There are different room rates for the same room as a friend booked a room too not sure why they did that.

Great location and multi level parking available, room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Had breakfast the following morning despite not booking it with the room and it too was excellent.

Although the room was very nice, regretted not getting a room with a view as the view was pretty grim from the window.

Konnte keinen Zahlungsbeleg und Zimmerschlüssel aushändigen (aber später geliefert über Room Service MA C. Zimmer wurde am nächsten Tag nicht gereinigt (habe Front Desk am Check-Out informiert) D. Kein ausreichendes Licht im Bad (kein Spiegel-Licht) E. Hellhörige Zimmertüre F. Kein Willkommen-Wasser im Zimmer (keine Mini-Bar)

Great location fab service

The room was very dated and smelled like stale smoke there were no blinds on the window and the view was disgusting.

Everything was good . But only thing I'd say was disappointing in was no robes in the room. Would be the final touch. Especially upgraded room rooms with sea view.

Rooms especially upgraded to sea view rooms could do with robes .

I upgraded to a junior suite I asked for a nice view with the room and I was given a room looking at apartments next door When I asked at reception I was going to be charged an extra 30 per night for a nice view after already upgrading there was cigarette burns in the curtains and the windows were rotten with wood lice I understand it was an old hotel but it really lacked some TLC

The hotel is centrally located with a free parking facility, staff was great and very accommodating. Hotel maintained its vintage style yet its still clean and nice. Really recommend this place to unwind from the hustle and bustle life.

Room refresh was missed - took 2 requests to make it happen.

The bellman was outstanding . Polite and helpful. The maids could have cleaned the room a bit faster. After a 10 hour flight it took another 2 hours to get in room.

Close to where I was meeting my relatives. Breakfast was good. Walking distance from train station.

Front of house staff were unable to sort out confusion with rooms. On each occasion we were informed that they could not help us with our enquiry regarding a refund and needed to talk with their manager, who was not available.

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night (18/19th May). The swimming Pool was lovely and well appointed changing rooms. The staff were fantastic and very receptive and friendly responding well to the complaint I made about the room and the balcony. The housekeeping staff were very pleasant and I had a great chat with Declan - a credit to the hotel.

I was very disappointed with the room (No. 353). The bathroom was dated and advertised as having a separate bath and shower. However, the shower was over the bath, with a shower curtain that was grubby at the bottom. This should be made clear when booking as some people struggle to get in and out of the bath. In no way was the room worth 200+ euros and let down by a bathroom that needs upgrading. I confirmed with staff that a similar room in the new part of the hotel would be the same price. I found this unacceptable given the old-fashioned shower over bath and shower curtain, something I would expect in a 3* hotel. The balcony was filthy and couldn't be walked on due to the bird poo everywhere. I couldn't touch the banister. I did however mention this to housekeeping and they responded very quickly and cleaned the gals and railings. I couldn't fault their response. However overall, there is no way, given the bathroom, that this room can be priced at the same rate as the newer rooms and I was disappointed., given the comparative hotel rates I received for much better rooms elsewhere. As a frequent visitor to Dublin, I pay less for 4* facilities in the centre of town. My advice would be a separate shower, USB charging points and a coffee machine (now very much the norm in hotel rooms) and for an executive suite - bath robes!

Very high price for one night bed only, 70 euro more expensive than the last time we stayed a few weeks previously! There was a wedding or dinner dance on in the hotel the same night. Even though we were on the 5th floor we were kept awake by loud music (Proud Mary and Maniac 2000 in particular), and people continuing the party back to their rooms afterwards.
