I booked this for my wife’s 60 birthday with friends. So it had to be perfect and this property far exceeded our expectations. The listing was better,if possible, than the pictures. It was fantastic to listen to the waves all night right outside your bedroom and the views were unbelievable and you are a 1 minute walk to the beach! We will be back! Thank you

The property was very nice and just as described. The pictures are 100% accurate. We loved the view and the privacy. The private pool on the deck was wonderful and we never used the Sapphire Beach Resort pool above. We felt the location allowed us to stay out of the hustle of more "in town" locations while still having easy access to the island. We would recommend a rental car to enjoy the area and island. The unit itself was very nice. The A/C work very well at keeping the unit cool, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were huge, and you can’t beat the sound of the breaking waves to sleep. We found the condo adequately stocked but not to the level of other units we have recently rented however that might be a cultural / island difference. The only minor concern we had was lack of communication by the property manager and Stacey. We had to follow-up with them on both the check-in & check-out processes and, while we enjoyed the maid service, we would have liked to have been told as to what days they would be cleaning the unit. With our past VRBO rentals, this information was proactively provided.

The property was absolutely beautiful!! It was spotless. The location is convenient to restaurants, grocery store, beaches and airport. The pictures online are an 100% representation of what you will encounter. My interaction with Stacey, the concierge was responsive, timely and helpful. I booked an excursion, chef services for 3 meals and rental car per Stacey's recommendations and all were spot on. My son and I had a wonderful vacation from start to finish!!!

The listing was accurate about all amenities and the photos were also accurate. We loved how quite the area and villa were. It was very spacious and well designed. It was perfect for 3 adults!

We loved the Sonrisa unit in Maho/Cupecoy area. It was really spacious and we loved the parking area to be right outside your front door. No elevators to wait on, and no chance of them going out of service. We have rented 3 years in a row through Smaart Vacation in Sint Maarten. Each place had its strong points, but we enjoyed the privacy of this one as a couple staying here without kids or friends along. It was quiet and we enjoyed the pool on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We also loved the shower outside of the front door to get the sand off your feet after a day at the beach. The ocean here is accessible if you wander around back there, but it's pretty rough most days. We opted to drive to area beaches—Mullet Bay is just up the road, a short drive away. We felt a little less sure about where we were going this trip when we arrived as we didn't know where to find this unit initially. For reference, it's a parking garage immediately after Sapphire Beach Resort, which is right after you pass The Cliffs. It's a little tricky to find the turn in but if you know it's right past the Sapphire Beach Resort, you'll find it. Getting in touch with property manager can be iffy depending on your phone plan, but we eventually did connect with Stacy. The A/C in this unit is wonderful—nice and cool. The beds are very, very firm. A topper would help with pressure points;) Stacy allowed a late checkout since we had late flight:) It was a wonderful place & we would return!

Absolutely beautiful! Perfect location close to restaurants, beach and shops. Villa is on the beach so you have the perfect water view!

Our family absolutely LOVED our 4-night stay at Villa Sonrisa! It was our first time visiting St Maarten, and the accommodations couldn’t have been more perfect. Clean, spacious and comfortable, with a private pool and breathtaking views off both balconies, it was everything advertised in the listing and so much more. And the location is ideal — there are a number of terrific restaurants and markets with walking distance, and Mullet Bay Beach is less than 5 mins by car (or a 12-min walk). Your private parking spot is literally STEPS away from the front door, and our concierge, Stacey, was extremely helpful and responsive whenever we had a question. We loved every minute of our stay at Villa Sonrisa and can’t wait to come back next year!

Read the description of the property… John has hit it spot on! Yes the views are as pictured and described. Constantly moving with arriving aircraft and boats of all sizes. Yes the beach is just below your pool and lanai’ but it is not very usable… which keeps your condo very private. Just a short walk or ride are beaches … Mullett Bay was our favorite. Be there early for a front row seat… see FREDDY! Meet him in the parking lot…. He will fix you up. 2 chairs and umbrella for $20. Loads of fun people watching. Just up the road … towards French Side at the round a bout is the marina area several nice restaurants and grocery… casino too. Mama for great pasta and pizza. Chicken Parm is awesome! Cambuci just opposite Mama has a very small sign… cash only … but WOW. Ask about specials … Beef Tenderloin and Snapper were featured our day. And Molten Chocolate Carmal Cake for dessert. Then down the stairs to CC. All good! We didn’t really take advantage of the Sapphire Beach Club …. But the pool and bar looked nice. Yes. Stacy did meet us and was a great resource for entertainment and restaurants. Toppers Rhum your is fun. Lots of tasting and well worth the small fee. We also sailed with The Spirit Of St Maarten. Fabulous day trip. YES rent a small car. I say small because the roads are small! IMO stick to the Dutch side. Simpson Bay is full of places for est and drink. Dinghy Dock is a must see for their Nachos. Trust me! Parking is indeed 15 steps to your front door. The drive down into the gated parking garage will take you a couple times to get used to😂 And…. Buy some cat food for the shy kittens … They may greet you during your stay. I hope you enjoy this villa as much as we did! We will return!!!

We were moved after problems right from the start we’re put in penthouse no toilet paper or Kleenex we had to buy it. Maid service none! TV didn’t work in any room no cable no working internet was blamed on weather bad weather only 1 day we had no pool in our villa we were looking forward to as to that is what we booked VERY DISAPPOINTED

We had a wonderful trip in Sint Maarten celebrating my wife and I Baby Moon. Property was great, we loved pool on the balcony overlooking the beach. Jonathan was great with communication and very accommodating. Upgraded us since there was an issue with other property we booked. Stacey, concierge, was wonderful. She scheduled a taxi shuttle to and from the airport for us. And also scheduled a couples message for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Our family of four just had a wonderful one week stay at Villa Sonrisa. It does live up to its 5 star reviews. Great location right on the Caribbean Sea and close to all the action. I recommend having a car to explore this beautiful island. The beach at the Villa is a short walk or you can drive to it if you have lots of gear to carry.. There is an umbrella and chair rental service there which is nice. They will even bring you drinks and food on request. It’s a very nice beach and there is some decent snorkeling just off shore. The Carefore supermarket is just down the road in the marina shopping plaza which also has a few restaurants. At the Villa youcan hear the small waves as they slash against the rocks while you are in the private pool on you patio. Beds are king size and comfy and the AC works great. I do wish there were more channels on the cable TV but who comes here to watch TV? You will be very happy with this place from the moment you walk through the front door. Every year I try to outdo my last years vacation location. It’s going to be tough to top this one.

When we arrived at our villa, we were greeted by our awesome concierge, Stacey, with a tour of the villa and fresh drinks and snacks. Villa Sonrisa is absolutely beautiful! The bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. were amazing and exactly as pictured. Our favorite spot every morning and evening was the balcony with our own private pool and breathtaking views of the turquoise waters. This was by far one of the most stunning places we have stayed. The concierge, maid, and pool service was the icing on the cake!

Been to and stayed at, many places in our lives. Can’t express enough how THIS trip was a perfect 10 out of 10. From the moment we opened the doors and saw the clear waters in the distance we knew this dream of a place was home for a week. The cleanliness, the service & helpfulness, and advice on how best to enjoy the island… our hosts were nothing short of perfect. Overwhelmed with emotions as our time has come to an end. But overcome with joy as we SURELY will be back! Advice to those that follow after us: go to as many different beaches as you can! Also…. Wonderful townhouse style villa with amazing views, close to Simpson Bay restaurants and beaches. The owners have thought of everything and then some. We hope to be back soon!

The photos of the unit are spot on. It is clean, bright and conveniently located to the beach, shopping and dining. We had a nightcap at the marina every night just minutes away. Grocery store and casino are also in the same center. A/C in every room would freeze the space out if need be and there was plenty of hot water for 4 showers in a row. Kitchen is small but it has all you need. It's best suited for 1 or maybe 2 people cooking/cleaning but with so much good food on the island it is more than sufficient and very well stocked. We did not use the resort amenities but the staff was very helpful when we had questions. Parking right outside the door and a nice outdoor shower compliment that space out front. Very quiet - all we could hear were the waves crashing day and night. Bedrooms were both sizable and comfortable with plenty of room in the bathrooms. The mid week cleaning was a nice surprise as well. We drove all over the island during the week and could not be happier with our choice to stay here. Property manager and concierge communication were fantastic before and during our stay. We would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

Thank you so much for sharing you oceanside villa on VRBO. Everything was wonderful especially the convenience of the location and the amount of space in the villa. We will definitely be back to Sint Maarten. The people are so welcoming. It truly is the Friendly Island. Loved it!! For others.. This is a beach, fun, ocean destination. Also, highly recommend local hikes. Fleming property and Devils head were just awesome.

We loved spending a few days at Villa Sonrisa. It comes exactly as advertised. The view from the balconies is spectacular. You’re basically right on the ocean…the sound of the waves lull you to sleep. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large, modern and clean. The private pool is great. Private covered parking is 5 steps from the front door. There are several restaurants in Porto Cupecoy about 2 minutes by car or a short walk. The other way are American, Italian and tapas places, also within walking distance. Two small groceries are also very close by. The beach is quite small but only a few steps away. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks!

Sonrisa was, as listed. Perfectly decorated, peaceful, relaxing and clean. You have everything you need, and are in walking distance to beaches, pharmacy, grocery store and restaurants. Waking up to the beautiful view of the ocean was a perfect start to the day. What I wasn’t ready for, was the amazing feeling you get of being surrounded by the ocean. There is an echo when near the pool that carries the sound of crashing waves all around you like a big hug.

Best trip of my life! The villa is stunning and exactly as depicted. We will be going back. Stacey the concierge was fabulous.

This property is AMAZING, communication prompt. So comfortable and everything was really perfection. If I ever return to the island I wouldn't even consider any place other than this. My only "complaint"?I had no idea how much service there would be! Someone came in to clean and the pool was serviced mid-stay. Just perfection. Thank you!

I wish I could describe our stay on your property more accurate but a cant but just saying we were very impressed by its layout ,cleanliness, convenient proximity to all points of our interests. Especially private pool on terrace and small beach just few steps away made it even more than we expected....We definitely will be back...Thank you John and Stacy

We had a wonderful stay. Gorgeous sunsets. Concierge service was very attentive. My only complaint was the main level bathroom was not working. Then entire week we had to go upstairs which got irritating. We were not aware of the issue until day 2. Overall, will stay there again.

Amazing stay and location!

The villa was exactly as it was described and pictured on the site. Everything was clean, neat and we had cleaning services while we there. The location is the best I could every imagine. The lower deck with its own pool was amazing. We swam, sat and ate at the outside table daily. Two wonderful upstairs bedrooms with bathrooms to die for also had a balcony on the ocean. The view was spectacular and we took pictures of every sunset. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore was so relaxing. Villa is way away from the road with private parking of it's own and very secluded. The location in Cupecoy is wonderful and serene. This was the perfect place to stay for our 40th Anniversary. This was near our honeymoon spot in 1981 which is no longer there due to the hurricanes. But we now have new beautiful memories. Lastly and not least, every question I had for the owner was answered in just minutes by email. Couldn't be more perfect!!!!
