We had a blast staying at this property. It was just as described. The owners were very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was good while we stayed there. It was great being able to tie up our boat as well as plug it in to make sure it was ready for when we went out on the lake . I definitely recommend this property

House was clean and the lake view was beautiful. The best of all was the fire pit right next to the lake. Neighbours were friendly. Communication with the owner was easy and Ms. Hughes was very responsive to ensure our stay was comfortable.

My family and I had a great weekend. Even though it was winter, we still enjoyed canoeing and fishing. The grill and fire pit were perfect. My kids loved the swing and fishing off the dock. We cooked all meals at the house with no issues. Great weekend! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your piece of Lake Gaston.

Property was just as advertised. Property manager provided all necessary details to make our stay enjoyable. House was neat and clean, and had appropriate conveniences, e.g., internet, appliances. We had a great time on the lake over the holiday break.

We had loads of fun and enjoyed every bit of this property. The staging is awesome in the house. We loved the restaurant setup with beds in glass porch where you can enjoy the lake from your bed. Kayaking and canoeing provided at the property were the greatest parts of enjoyment .The backyard faces lake still has lots of privacy and very good lake views. The person in contact was super friendly answering all of our questions . It’s worth staying here at this price 👍👍🙏

This place was great for a weekend by the lake! We took advantage of the fire pit by the water and used the dock when we rented a pontoon for the day. Kerry was very accommodating and let us check in a bit earlier than the listing indicated which was also very helpful. Awesome spot.

The fishing was great! Property in a nice quiet neighborhood. Beautiful views. Very relaxing. A lovely little lake house.

Great property and lake access for boating, fishing, and swimming

This lakefront cottage was built in '66, so it could use a little TLC. Rooms are on the small side, some warping of walls, and watch for chipping paint off doors and cabinets as well. If you want spacious accomodations, this isnt that. This is cozy, as described. Be prepared for spiders and crickets which are common in a lake house. I was surprised to arrive and find only half a roll of toilet paper for our family of six. That meant going out to buy more, which you should not have to do on vacation. Aside from that, kitchen has some nice cookware and basics that you would need if you cook like we did. The bunk beds were nice but there's no ladder so my daughter did struggle up and down from the top bunk. Closets are locked so if you need closet space for your stay, this cozy house doesnt offer that. House is on a lake "cove" that is quiet, pretty and calming. My kids enjoyed fishing, canoeing & swimming. Neighbor played some loud music a couple of times but, all in all it was a pleasant relaxing stay. Outdoor chairs were dirty and lots of spider webs, but that's to be expected on a lake of course. It would have been nice if they were cleaned. At the end of our trip, we cleaned up, vaccumed, put everthing away before leaving, emptied trash, wash and dried all dishes, and wiped down counters. We pride ourselves on being fantastic renters. This was our first family "lake" trip, we look forward to returning to beautiful Lake Gaston.

The cottage was updated in all the right ways. Tidy and exactly as listed. It was nice to show up and feel like it was lived in with basic amenities like toilet paper, paper towels still on the roll and dish soap in case you forgot anything. The cove was tucked away from busy boat traffic but seconds away from the main lake. Great communication with the owner. Would definitely recommend!

Great location right on the Lake. Good for 3 or 4 adults or some adults and little children. Not ideal for older people, as getting into the water is tricky. Also, beds on the porch are right where you eat, so not ideal. However, our hostess was lovely and I really enjoyed my stay.

My family and I stayed the first night together and then we dropped our kids off at a nearby camp. My husband and I stayed for the week and had some friends come down we haven’t seen in a while. We had a great time sitting on the dock and swimming. What a great house for a week of fun. Perfect space for all of us. Great communication with the owner. Highly recommend!

Perfect little spot on the lake for a long weekend. close to the public boat ramp, great for if you are bringing your own boat.

Beautiful location and very accommodating host. Will stay again. Discovered on this one that you have to open up amenities list and the lack of linens and towels not being in amenity list means they are not provided.

The house was the perfect size for our group of 6 who spent the majority of their time outside during our stay. Kitchen was functional for the amount of cooking that we did while there.

This was a nice, wonderful happy place for my family and I to have a brief vacation. The weather was perfect, the sleeping arrangements were perfect. We were close to shopping and far from a lot of distraction. The house is so charming and the owner had perfect communication. You must stay here.

We had a great trip! Very cute cottage! Very comfortable. The location was excellent. Would like to come again!

My wife and I stayed at the property for an anniversary celebration. (Just the two of us away from distractions of our normal life.) The cabin was perfect for that, we wish we could’ve stayed at least a day longer. It was very quiet and relaxing during our “off-season “stay and we enjoyed the solitude of it. There is not a lot around in terms of restaurants, places to grab a drink etc. so I believe if we were to do it again we would plan to be more self-sufficient, cook more on property etc. We appreciated the great feedback and help from our host, and will definitely reach out again in the future.

We loved the views, the lake access, the canoe and kayaks. We would have liked to have had a few more fire making supplies provided (or instructions to bring them) and there were no dish towels or hand towels, or any toiletries. We did bring our own linens but didn’t know to bring dish towels. Would have made our stay a little easier. We did love our trip and the beds were comfy, internet & TV worked and entertained us with the rain pouring down on the tin roof (which always sounds magical). Tried a few puzzles too. Great little lake cottage!
