We had the best time. We sat on the porch everyday until 2:00 p.m. just enjoying each other. The home was perfect for us. The time spent with my sons and father was priceless. I wish I would have booked one more day.

This property is a gem! It is clean, welcoming and has everything and more a country cabin could offer. The extras in this property make it unique and inviting. I would highly recommend it!

The Groom stayed the night before with his groomsman. The enjoyed the fireplace and games and just some down time before the big day. Then the Newlyweds stayed and enjoyed the remote location. The house is gorgeous and the views are spectacular.

Timber Creek Lodge was amazing! Amy was great to work with. Shuffle board was fun. The house was beautiful. Very clean and beds were comfy. Even the single roll out bed was comfy. The house has everything you’d need! I’d love to stay here again. Very cozy place!

This was a beautiful property that gave us the room we needed, as I traveled from Minnesota to meet my biological paternal family members in Butler County, Kansas. We had up to 20 visitors for dinner each evening, and we had a lot of room to spread out in, yet staying close enough to talk. It had everything we needed to prepare dinner. After everyone left for the evening it still was an intimate space for my husband and I. The grounds were very nice, and it had a lovely porch to look out to a field and a pond. Thank you Butlers for having this beautiful property!

It was a great experience for all. We had a family gathering & it was relaxing very comfortable Lodge with everything u need for a great weekend! We came in town for a wedding, and had 7 of us staying. 4 adults, 2 teens and 1 child! Timber Creek lodge was perfect, I was catering the desserts at the wedding and the beautiful kitchen and double ovens were exactly what I needed. I totally geeked out over the kitchen, it's beautiful, all top of the line and that huge, live edge island is everything!!! The hosts are great and easily accessible, but we didn't need to as tthey have thought of everything. The teens loved the darts and shuffleboard, and of course the wifi too. Plenty of games and activities for everyone. We wished we would have had more time to sit outside with the fire pit also, maybe next time. We also saw deer both mornings. If your on the fence, just book it, you won't regret it. We can't wait to come back!

Our family group loved our 2 night stay at Timber Creek Lodge. We wanted to get away from city lights to see the Perseids meteor shower and it was better than imagined. The rest of the time we never ran out of things to do. Amy is an amazing host and has gone over and above any VRBO host with her attention to detail. In addition to everything listed there are wonderful books - guides on stargazing, birds, trees, planning a country home (including Amy’s and Lee’s personal account with photos), - fascinating maps on the walls, and so much more. Lovely place. “Luxury rustic”. A true escape. No other people in sight. We will return!

The barndominum was perfect for our family holiday. It is decorated and appointed beautifully. The location was perfect too, very easy to get to but remote enough to have a truly country feel. Thank you to the Butlers!

Don't hesitate. Book now! If you're reading this review you've at least shown interest in the listing. Let me tell you, Timber Creek is one of the best VRBOs we've ever stayed! First off, the property is beautiful. Picturesque section of the Flint Hills that transports anyone to peaceful country living. The front porch is clean, big and spacious with enough outdoor seating for 8 adults easily. Lucky for us, rain had provided enough dampness we could enjoy a fire in the provided fire pit! The real joy however, is inside. The interior is masterfully decorated with plenty of space for all eight of us adults to hangout, enjoy company and play indoor games. The kitchen is fully stocked with all household appliances. The bar is fully stocked with a myriad of glassware for any type of beverage. The dining table is huge enough to spread out and converse over as is the custom-made bar. Many games were played on the shuffleboard table and the owners even provide two Sony bluetooth speakers for your enjoyment. The bathroom had all the touches of a four-star hotel with drinking glasses, q-tips, ample washcloths, hand towels, soap and shampoo. The bedrooms both had extremely comfortable beds which made for some of the best sleep I'd had all vacation. My only regret was not being able to stay another night. There were four married couples during our stay and Timber Creek Lodge was perfect property for our semi-annual get together of lifelong college friends. I truly hope to return to enjoy the space again.
