This prperty is BEAUTIFUL. The home is decorated impeccably. Everything you'll need. With the Canadian wild fires we couldn't see Lake Superior. The mosquitos & nats were bad, even to enjoy the deck or to have a campfire. But overall, it was lovely.

Lovely home in a very private, gorgeous setting with amazing views of Lake Superior. Home owner was very responsive to our inquires. A great floor plan for a family gathering and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. We typically stay on the lake but really enjoyed the impressive views from this home and will plan to visit again.

This home has it all! The incredible views of Lake Superior make it difficult to leave. Make sure you watch the sunrise with your morning coffee in the comfy recliners. The home is beautifully furnished. Love the big kitchen and dining table for enjoying family meals. Our grandsons played endless games of ping pong downstairs. All of the beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. Spacious bathrooms made it easy for all to get ready quickly. The location is perfect for hiking the Superior Hiking Trail or golfing. A stop at Northshore Winery nearby was surprisingly good and would recommend anytime. And after a long day hiking. we were all excited to get back to this beautiful Northwoods lodge!

We were looking for great place to spend a beautiful weekend for our trail marathon group. We found it. Lovely new home with a great view of the lake (once the rainy weather cleared).

The Fox Trot Ridge home is Uber comfy! Our group loved the house and location. It is very well appointed, it has everything you could need for a restful stay. We all cooked, and we found the pantry stocked and the knives were sharp. We golfed and hiked, saw the sites, kayaked the lake, rode the gondola and the Alpine slide, lunched in Grand Marias, and had happy hour at the winery. Highly recommended!

Fox Trot Ridge was the perfect spot for our group of six adults, 2 teenagers, and two kids (7 and 8). It was a short drive to a various trail heads or there was lots of activities to just be together at the house. Thank you Katie for sharing your place with us.

This is one of the best places that I have stayed in on the North Shore. Everything from the furnishings to the view were outstanding! The views are unbelievable. I was able to get some great pictures of the Milky Way from the deck. We will be coming back again.

We were a family of six with four daughters (8, 6, 3, & 1) traveling with grandparents. The house was perfect for us, with room to spare. The location was private, the panoramic views from the huge windows were incredible, and the layout of the house was perfect. We didnt' use the downstairs living area at all, but there was a great place to watch movies or play ping pong. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals, the beds were comfy and the house was very clean. We will very likely return in the future, but my guess is it will become increasingly difficult to find availability at such a gem of a rental. Highly recommend.

We have been visiting the north shore for several years. This was our 3rd VRBO stay up north and it was by far the best. This house has everything you would need; the kitchen was well stocked, plenty of board games, ping pong table, firewood for campfires, blankets for the cool nights and gifts from the host. We had a rainy day during our stay and we didn’t mind staying in. We made a great dinner in the fabulous kitchen, played ping pong & card games, enjoyed the bottle of wine gifted by the host and watched a movie. We definitely plan on booking this property again.

This brand new home is immaculate and gorgeous. We had the house completely filled up for three days and never felt crowded or uncomfortable. The grandkids and our adult kids loved the amenities (ping pong! Woodland trail! Big tv! Game board!) and we loved seeing everyone have fun then go home so gramma and grampa could enjoy the secluded peace and quiet. 🙂 We highly recommend.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and comfortable place to stay. This place had all the extras which really made you feel at home. The property manager was super responsive and helpful as well. Definitely want to go back.

This property provided everything we could have wanted and more for our 5 days getaway with my parents, our kids and my sister and her family. There was ample space and the pictures online were exactly what we found. No detail was left out by the property owners when building and creating this space. The home is in a remote location one mile up a gravel road but the views are spectacular. The property owner gave tons of great hints in her welcome packet as well as offering suggestions to questions I asked prior to the trip.

Our family spent 4 nights at Fox Ridge and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The house is beautiful and set-up nicely to support 3 couples with little children. The views are amazing with a sense of natural calm not found in many vacation places. The owner's were very accommodating and answered all of our questions to ensure we had a comfortable stay. I hope you are able to make memories at this beautiful place. We hope to go back again soon!

We had a fantastic time staying at Fix Trot Ridge. The views from the main room, balcony and pretty much any room of the house were priceless. It felt like you were in the clouds with Lake Superior not too far away. The property was well-stocked with supplies. All the little touches from the decor to the Sonos speakers were well received by the whole family. The entire property was very relaxing. Beds were comfy and plenty of hot water.. We did take a mini-van up the there. It was a little hairy at first try, but you get used to it after you are more familiar with the road. You definitely need an all wheel drive or 4x4 during the non summer months though. Anyway, highly recommend and definitely worth the money. Communcation with host was fast and efficient. What a wonderful place to get away in a quiet, immaculate house! We just had a wonderful week away from it all in Lutsen, and Foxtrot was the perfect place to call home. Me along with my Wife and 3 children (5 and under), Sister and Brother in law along with their 2 kids (7 and 11), as well as our Parents had a wonderful time. The home is within 15 minutes to most attractions and parks you would want to go to. It is a brand new home with beautiful finishes, comfortable beds and views of Superior second to none. Although we did not see any wildlife, that has nothing to do with Katie's skill to serve as an amazing host. We could go on and on about how wonderful this place was, bottom line, do not pass over this house. It has everything you will need for a week away, plenty of space for kids and adults, and at an incredibly reasonable price. We look forward to coming back to the North Shore again, and we expect to see a bear next time! Thank you Katie for a wonderful week away to celebrate some time as a family.

We have been coming to the Lutsen/Grand Marais area for over two decades and this visit has been one of our favorites. This home is located in a quiet and secluded area with breathtaking views of Lake Superior. The home itself is gorgeous and perfectly-appointed. We were able to see a bear, wolves and dear on property and hear plenty of songbirds. This was my first stay at a VRBO and you have set the bar extremely high! We will be back for sure! Thank you.

We've stayed at a lot of properties along the North Shore over many years and this was the best yet. The view of Lake Superior was amazing, and the property was quiet and private. We enjoyed the fire ring which had plenty of nice seating, host-provided firewood and even marshmallow forks and fire poker! Check in and entry were a breeze and no issues throughout our stay. The home is impeccable--new, very clean and comfortable, and spacious for our group of 8 adults and 1 toddler. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and we loved the bar area and icemaker. The deck was a favorite hang-out. The ping-pong table was a lot of fun and we enjoyed seeing deer and stargazing from the deck. You will not be disappointed!!

We had an excellent stay at Fox Trot Ridge. The property was amazing, and the views of Lake Superior from the deck and upstairs living room were stunning! Katie has truly thought of everything. The bathrooms had ample toiletries, cleaning supplies were available, and there was even laundry detergent. The fire pit and ping pong table were a big hit with the kids. The upstairs den was a favorite place to sit and enjoy the sunshine while reading or working. We were close to many state parks, and the trail at the bottom of the hill was perfect for our morning runs. One afternoon a black bear ambled across the back yard as we looked out the downstairs windows! Lutsen's general store was a good place to pick up incidentals. Two Harbors has a full grocery store which we visited before we arrived. Fox Trot Ridge was a great home base for our outdoor adventures of hiking, canoeing, and sightseeing. My only suggestion would be to have additional towels for the bathrooms and maybe a few beach towels availble. As we were there in the summer, we went swimming in nearby Caribou Lake and had to purchase a beach towel. Fox Trot Ridge was definitely a five star experience!
