Gairnlea cottage was perfect for our stay in ballater , had everything we needed and was homely , very clean the bed was lovely and comfy .. the cottage is a short walk from the town and some great pubs and restaurants - we hope to return in the future

Warm and comfortable.A very good location.We liked the house but it is a bit small.

The location was very quiet and peaceful. The cottage was spotless and cosy and very well equipped with very good quality fixtures and fittings.

The property and facilities were excellent in almost every way.

It was just a little bit cramped inside but that's a minor consideration. While it seemed a bit pricey, I don't have any recent past experience of self-catering for comparison.

Cosy and very clean with lovely furniture we didn't use the log burner but I'm sure it will be very cozy in the winter. Everything you need on hand. Great outdoor space and seating area.

There was not a cafetiere but I have a habit of bringing one with me when I travel so its wasn't a big deal.

Beautiful cottage. Perfect location for day trips around the Balmoral area.

Eating out in Ballater is limited. The kitchen was great
