The owner greeted us with a delicious cocktail. The accomodation was first class and it was lovely to eat on the very large balcony. The owner (Amy?) was very kind and arranged for us to have a delicious Japanese take-away. A super stay.

I wouldn't describe this as' didn't like 'as our stay was so lovely, but we did feel we could have had a bit more choice at breakfast. It was adequate, but slightly disappointing ,considering everything else--which was perfect.

Superb place to stay with a lovely front of house in Amy. Has a super swimming pool. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The ensuite was luxurious and breakfast in the morning was delicious.

The Villa des Chenes is a great place to stay. The house is modern and tastefully decorated. The large swimming pool is a pleasure to slip into after a hot day out. The owners are helpful and attentive and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay.

Top quality bedroom, with everything provided, including a cool welcoming drink as we were tired from travelling. The breakfast offered everything we could possibly need. The whole house was beautiful, clean, tiday and very comfortable. The host, Amy, was the absolute perfect hostess! We felt very welcome.

This was an exceptional stay unfortunately we only stayed one night as a stopover on our way back to the uk. Such a warm welcome, secure parking a stunning place that is immaculate and new with top quality fittings in bathroom. Linen and towels were beautiful and bed extremely comfortable. We were able to have dinner which was wonderful and very good value to ncluding a bottle of Sancerre. Breakfast was lovely as well. We will definitely return thank you.

Property difficult to find

Felt secure with the coded entry gate. Lovely modern property, good stopover point on way South.

It was a nice place to stay, with the manager and her husband who were very welcoming. They cooked a fabulous dinner and ideal breakfast. Very quiet.

The bed had a plastic mattress protector and tgst key to very hot moments. Unfortunately, i didn't discover it early enough.i If I had taken it off, we would have had a great night's sleep!

The villa has elegant rooms and a large garden with a lovely swimming pool. The place is spotless clean and the hosts Amy and her husband was very friendly and helpful and did what they could to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was great, a varied selection of cheese, several different types of jam and the croissants and baguette was delicious.

Room was small but with pretty terrace and very comfortable bed. Good shower. Amy was very friendly and helpful ( also speaks English if needed). Lovely breakfast. If you are there in summer I am sure the terrace/garden and pool would be very nice!

Tricky to find as Google doesn’t recognise the road - efforts are being made I gather to rectify this and improve signage. We felt the evening meal was nice, but overpriced for what it was - although of course on site is very convenient!

This is by far the best place in Bourges!!! This is an ideal stop over if you are heading to the South of France or just looking for a peaceful week away to relax...and for this, the Villa offers everything you everything you need...from comfortable elegant rooms to large garden with a lovely swimming pool, very peaceful. The hosts Amy and her Husband are truly amazing!!! you will feel at home from the moment they open their door to the Villa! Dinner and breakfast are both delicious.

If you want to go to a place where you feel like home this is the place to go. So welcoming atmosphere and I can’t say anything negative. It’s a few minutes drive from the center of Bourges. Take a stroll through the old city and don’t miss the Cathedral. If you go in the summertime take the walk in the evening and see the Lumières.
