The property is clean and central
The property presents itself online as a hotel/ guest house. It is not. We saw no one while we were there. We were texted a code to unlock the door, and didn’t see a staff member or other human being for our entire stay. The motion detectors and cameras in the kitchen/lounge etc made me feel extremely uncomfortable-like I was being watched. On the other nights of our trip we paid less for hotels with a friendly receptionist and a cooked breakfast served with a smile by a real person. I’m sure the owners have seen this idea somewhere and I can think of places it might work- a large city or airport, but it seems inappropriate for Ardara.

The flexible hours for the breakfast, the self-service. The recommendations and tips to explore the area. The cleanliness of the facilities. The kindness of the owners. The parking was free on the road. We would definitely comme back !

Das Personal (wir haben nur einen Herrn angetroffen) war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr gut unterhalten und die Zimmer sind ansprechend und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstückbuffet war sehr vielseitig
Die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss sind wohl grösser, die Aussicht des Fensters ist aber nur an die sehr nahe Wand des nächsten Hauses. Woher wohl der Name "Atlantic Lodge"?
Kaffee- und Tee Zubereitung, inkl. Sitzgelegenheiten, für die Zimmer im ersten Stock sind auf dem Korridor..... ein absolutes No-Go!!! Wir wurden über eine Stunde wach gehalten durch andere Gäste, die sich bei einem Getränk lautstark unterhielten und munter die Türen der Küchenschränke knallen liessen. Dass man sich das Frühstück selbst zubereitet ist auch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig - nicht gerade unterhaltsam bis man das Geschirr etc. in den zahlreichen Schränken gefunden hat.

The rooms were luxurious, great hand soap, fantastic kitchen with an abundance of choice for breakfast.

This B&B looks like a small boutique hotel.
Everywhere was spotless clean.
Room was very big and the bathroom was fantastic.
There was a mini kitchen (1 floor) that was very handy and saved the time to go in the kitchen downstairs.
Location was very central with free parking on the street. Near very good gastro pubs and pubs to enjoy the nightlife.

No high chair for children under 3 years old. They should have at least 2 because not all families have grown up children.
There was no hob to cook food.
We as family like to have a fried egg in the morning but there was just the option for boiled egg. A lot of cereals and bread, fruits and juice but (for salty breakfast) there were just eggs, Cheddar and some ham. No Sausages or tomatoes.
They should give the option of a salty Irish breakfast. If cannot be cooked they should give a voucher worth 10 euro (more or less) to use in the adjacent cafe downstairs.

Atlantic Lodge was just perfect for our trip to Ardara. Unfortunately our trip was just an overnight on this occasion, maybe next time we will stay longer. The location was perfect for us and absolutely everything we needed was on hand. Lots of choice for the continental breakfast and friendly/informative welcome when we first arrived. This accommodation is very well thought out and could be a model for other B & B businesses else where. Hope we will be back in the future.

We loved this place. Thomas has a great set-up here. It's spotless and nothing is a problem for him. The rooms are lovely, beds comfy and great ensuites too. The breakfast, while self-service, is very plentiful. I got a generous americano each morning and loved it. We also ate in the coffee shop next door for two mornings and enjoyed a lovely breakfast menu 👍
This would be a 10 out of 10 if it wasn't for the wash up. I didn't see a dishwasher so we were all washing our cups, cutlery etc. However, I saw people just running their cutlery etc under the tap. Given the new Covid variant, I was a bit sceptical about this.

We loved the friendly hosts who didn't mind us having a cuppa and croissant the night we checked in.
Location is excellent also.

Room1 noisy but that's not really property fault it comes with location.. Ear plugs were provided in fairness. It was very warm so we had to leave windows open as no air con.
The bed wasn't that comfortable. Some cushions stained which was a little off putting.

I wasn't real thrilled about having to do my own dishes... Actually it was fine and the kitchen was well stocked for snacks / breakfast.

Friendly, informative staff, excellent kitchen facilities, central location in the town. Also good restaurants/pubs nearby for evening meal. Village location worked well for me on my cycle tour. Nice food available in the kitchen for making breakfast.
I would have preferred to have breakfast prepared for me. I would also have preferred to have tea/coffee making facilities in my room rather than have to go to the communal kitchen.

Staff were lovely and accommodation was lovely. It was a self service continental breakfast with plenty to choose from. Definitely got what we paid for and happy with the booking. Would go again.
