We were very impressed with the property. It’s very family friendly with lots of room to be together. The beds were awesome! It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach and so nice to hear the waves at night. We rate it a 5 star!

This house was a perfect location for us to get to our day trips and hikes and beach. One of the nicest and well equipped rental properties we have stayed at. The hot tub and cozy robes made it feel like a resort experience, but at the same time it had the comforts of home. Hope to return someday!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cox Bay Retreat. The location was perfect for what we had hoped to accomplish during this trip. Over the course of several days, we walked to and spent time at Cox Bay Beach, which is only a few minutes away! We drove to several great hiking trails near Tofino and Ucluelet. There was plenty of room for all of us, and we spent our time unwinding in the kitchen, living room area, and the hot tub (of course!). I cannot say enough wonderful things about the folks in Tofino. This was one the best trips our family has had because of the people who live there, beginning with the property owners - they’re fantastic! Tofino Vacation Rentals was attentive and responsive, and of course, the friendly folks at Tofino and Ucluelet are one of a kind. Our family would happily stay at Cox Bay Retreat again - no doubt!

The property was spacious with two bedrooms downstairs and one up. The bathrooms, upstairs and down were fully equipped with shower and bath. The kitchen and living room upstairs were also a good size and fully equipped. The hot tub outside was kept heated throughout the day. The beach was an easy five minute walk and extended for miles in either direction. We had an excellent experience.

We had a wonderful stay. A short trail to the beach and close toPacific Sands resort where they have a great little outdoor restaurant with burgers and tacos and fire pits. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Lovely house, great hot tub, short walk to the beach

We had a great stay at the Cox Bay retreat. The place was super clean and lots of room for my husband and I, our two adult boys and their girlfriends. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs, we loved the spa like bathrooms, a great surf board rack with a hose to rinse off the gear and it was nice to be so close to the beach. A few minutes down the path and you are there. Highly recommend this place! We will be back :)

The house is lovely and far better equipped than most rentals. The location is fantastic: closer to the beach than we had expected (it’s really close) but it still feels private and peaceful. Easy communication with the property managers. We would stay again in a heartbeat. We never felt crowded — even with four adults, two kids, and a dog. Good outside space and surf board rack.

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had a gas stovetop, was fully equipped and made socializing easy. The bathrooms were amazing, with full size tubs and showers in both. The house is just off the main road enough to be accessible and also very quiet and relaxing. And last but absolutely not least, being able to walk to the beach in minutes with the dogs or all of our surf equipment and warming up in the hot tub afterwards really made our trip. What a great spot.

We have been to Tofino a number of times and this was one of our best stays yet. Great communication and info from the host, the space is lovely, exactly as described, well set up kitchen, comfy beds and lots of clean towels. LOVE places that accept pets as they are part of the family and love the vacation just as much as we do. So great to take a short stroll down to Cox Bay and enjoy our days.

For 2 of us, this was a repeat visit. We brought our Calgary based family of 2 adults and two teen grand daughters. They were impressed and delighted with the location, accommodation and amenities. The short walk to a large beach area was pleasant and facilitated bringing chairs and boards. Interesting weather, cool mornings and hot afternoons. Great sunsets. Close to Tacofino and other good outlets. Book early, you wont be disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised by the house. There was plenty of space and had a nice balcony with comfortable seating and a bbq. Great for a getaway.

We had 3 couples and their infants stay in this space and it worked wonderfully. We were here a for a few days for a wedding and everyone had a great time. The location is steps away from Cox Bay. There is no better situated vacation rental adjacent to Cox Bay than this residence. Would highly recommend to anyone.

It was a clean and well designed space.

We loved Cox Bay Retreat. The house is well equipped with everything a family with two young boys, grandparents and a dog would need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Bedrooms are spacious, beds comfortable and bathrooms spa-like. The boys loved the hot tub, especially after a day of running on the beach and surfing lessons. We really appreciate the owners' accepting canine guests. Thank you!

We had 6 adults in February and had a wonderful time. House was great for fixing a few meals, walking down to the beach for sunrise and sunset. Kids walked down to the beach to surf. Super close to tofino to drive into town for groceries and shopping. We would happily stay here again.

We had a fantastic time at this property - it had everything we needed to be comfortable, and is located quite close to Tofino. It was very quiet and situated so close to the beach! Truly such a gem, and we will be staying here again :)

We were very at home quickly at Cox Bay Retreat. The kitchen area worked for this group of foodies, more than the usual provisioning. Clean and comfortable.

Had a great weekend with our 2 families ( 4 kids under the age of 6) enjoyed the sunny deck, hot tub and the convenient 2 min walk to the beach. I would come again!

Good to get a place with three bedrooms with queen+ beds. So easy to walk the surfboards to the waves at Cox bay. A little tough finding the driveway the first time. Would definitely consider this place for our next visit. Hot tub was a perfect to recover from a days exercise.

The only problem was we had difficulty finding the house when we first got there as it is quite hidden and not obvious, but other than that it was great. We had a great time hiking to the beach!

Was a nice carriage home, and more than enough space for 4 adults, two Children and a dog. Very clean, and nice 2 minute walk from the beach. Would Definitely stay here again.

Family of 5 travelling with aging parents for a total of 7 people. Enough space for everyone (although could have used more closet space downstairs). Easy walk to the beach or stunning view point. Minutes walk away from info Center n free shuttle into town. Quiet n convenient location.

This is a beautiful spot in an excellent location in Tofino. The photo and descriptions are all accurate. You won't go wrong with this place. Only item I might suggest for some people to consider is the fact that there is a good size set of stairs to the main living level. Certainly won't be an issue for most people, but it is worth noting for some. This was a perfect location for our 5 days in Tofino.
